This is a good site for information because they're interviewing one of the key figures in
this event. In the interview they talked about what it was like be part of this event and
delays faced by the Coalition.

into the mayor of Chicago during the time of the Rainbow Coalition. Helped bring out the
democratic political machine that was running in Chicago at that time and the way that
government was.

two groups of the coalition, it shows some of the struggles of the motivation rather than

very detailed account of what Harold Washington was like and the impact he made on the city. The
Rainbow Coalition worked so that something like a black mayor could be possible. This helped show
some of the positive impact of The Rainbow Coalition.

website also gave us information on the setbacks the coalition faced such as people not
wanting to give equality to minorities and being seen as a threat by the government.
