ITEM GROUPS EXERCISE

2-1 HOW TO CHEK THE GROUP DEFAULTS.

1. Go to Administration > Setup > Inventory > Item Groups


2. Set into Find mode
3. Enter “PCs” in the Item Group Name
4. Browse over the default values

Note: A procurement method is used when you run MRP (Materials Requirement Planning)

What is MRP? tool which helps in planning the requirement quantities and schedules of a given
material. It not only ensures availability of the material for which MRP is carried out, but also
ensures availability of the components
- MRP is required to procure or produce the required quantities on time for in- house
purpose or for fulfilling customer demand.
2-4 HOW TO RUN THE ITEM LIST

1. Go to Reports Module> Inventory > Items List


2. In the Item List – Selection Criteria Window, set the Group field into “Scanners”

2-5 HOW TO CUSTOMIZE THE SEARCH CRITERIA.

1. Open a marketing document such as the SALES ORDER


2. Choose a business partner (ex. C30000)
3. Click the first box under the Item No. field then press tab. The list of items will appear.
4. Choose Form Settings icon in the toolbar.
5. Into the first free row, enter the Item Group for the Field Name using the drop down list.
6. For the Displayed Name, type in “Group”.
7. Check the box in the Group column and then click update and ok.
8. Cancel the list of items, and start the search again.

2-5-2 HOW TO OPEN PURCHASE ANALYSIS REPORT

1. Go to Reports > Sales and Purchasing > Purchase Analysis


2. Select the Items Tab then click ok.
3. Choose the drop down icon in the Code From field

2-5-4 HOW TO RESTORE THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS

1. Repeat steps no. 1-4 under 2-5


2. Look for the Restore Default Button
3. Click update then ok.
