Project Details
Title of the Project:

MTA ATM Machine System

Project Scope

The system will focus on the basic features of a MTA (Metropolitan Traders Association)
automated teller machine with an accessible system which users can easily comprehend.

Below is the overview of the features included in the system:

Account Management

The system needs a proper authentication (pin number) from a consumer of MTA to be able to
access the different features offered by the automated teller machine.
Balance Inquiry

The system will manage the current amount available to the consumer’s account. The data will be
coming from a float balance provided by the bank upon the consumer’s subscription.

Deposit

The system will provide an access to depositing money to the consumer’s account. The deposit will,
of course, be added to the existing balance. The system is able to compute for the new balance and can
show it to the user.

Withdrawal

The system allows the user to withdraw money from the consumer’s account. The system is able to
identify if the amount to be withdrawn is within the account’s capacity.

MTA ATM System

This system will be created with the use of C++ Programming Language. It will run on an android
phone and gives interfaces for functions to be chose from as specific consumer; balance inquiry,
withdrawal, and depositing. The system will start with a single consumer and if proven efficient, a
database will be created to accommodate all of MTA’s costumers.

Project Duration

The project will be developed for the 4 weeks.

Issue/current state that the project is addressing

The problem encountered by the staff of the MTA is the usability of its ATM System.

Business process that the project will address

This diagram show the projected business process of the MTA automated teller machine system.
How will the project address the issue and improve the current state?

The project will be directly be addressing the issue by making the system easy to use and easy to
be learned. If the system is proven to be efficient, it will be applied to all MTA automated teller
machines for the access of all costumers.

Draw the system model / solution model that will be developed to address the issue / current state.

Describe the activities/steps that will be undertaken to develop the system / solutions model.

1. Flowcharting – developers will be making a program flowchart to graphically show the logic in
the solution algorithm. This will include all necessary parameters for the system to work.

2. Implementation – developers will be using a program development tool to write the code that
translates the design into a computer program.

3. Validation of the Design – developers will test the solution as soon as requirements are
defined. Logical errors will be checked by conducting a test.

What are the reports needed by the management to help them decide in the operation of the
process?

No particular report is need in deciding the operation of the process.

What are the expected results of the project? Be able to define in terms of measurable results.

The project is expected to result in the usability of MTA’s auto teller machines. The attainment
of the project’s goal can be measured by having the consumer rate the understandability and operability
of the system.
What are the expected contributions to the organization?

The system can contribute to Metropolitan Traders Association by granting customer

satisfaction which is also the best form of advertisement. Achieving the project’s goal to make a system
usable for the customers can lead to increasing the customers’ rate of satisfaction and potentially
gaining new customers.
