Speaking with media, Lars Eklund Managing Director Scania Tanzania said, ‘There is
rampant infringement of Scania trademark and identity of the company with some
shops printing advert materials and branding their shops with Scania logo. This
involves the illegal and unapproved use of the Scania logo/mark/name, which intends
to deceive customers, the public and authorities by selling their products, including
spare parts with the Scania mark in isolation, or in conjunction with some other
logo/mark/name. Would like to notify public that all Scania genuine products are sole
sold at our registered branches and Parts outlets across Tanzania.
Scania parts are engineered to be of the highest quality and provides optimum
performance, endurance, fuel economy and safety. They are always ready to be used,
and comes with a full warranty. It pays to use Scania genuine parts when maintaining
your vehicle as:
Scania vehicles are designed with quality and safety in mind. Using Genuine parts
will ensure these standards are upheld.
Scania Genuine Parts represent value for money, may cost a little more but last a
lot longer, they do not have to be replaced at the same frequency and non-genuine
parts and in long term resulting in being more cost effective.
Using non genuine parts could affect the functioning of other vehicle components
and result in a much higher running cost over a period of a few years.
Scania has been operating in Tanzania since 1973 selling and supporting Trucks,
Buses, Industrial/marine Engines, Generators and Scania Finance. We have branches
