This Knowledge Base Article, NK-1800-0043, describes an issue where a Safety Logic Solver SLS1508 may intermittently
or persistently report “Non-Critical Mismatch between Main Processors” alarms after flash-upgrading to hotfix bundle
DeltaV_RI_SLS_11.
These alarms are not critical, rather a nuisance, generated by an increased sensitivity of communication between the
main processors in a logic solver.
Logic solvers upgraded with this bundle will reflect software version 3.3.3.2 in DeltaV Diagnostics.
Safety functions executed by the logic solver are not compromised and do not pose a safety risk to the safe operation of
SLS1508.

Work-around
For Safety Logic Solvers (SLS1508) that intermittently reports this issue, a possible workaround is to increase the scan
rate from the existing value (e.g. 50 mS to 100 mS) to stop the alarms. A download of SLS1508 may be required after the
change; note that downloading the SLS1508 may impact the assigned SIF.
There is no workaround for Logic Solvers experiencing the issue persistently.

Resolution
Technology is working on a hotfix for this issue. This KBA will be updated once the hotfix becomes available.
