Descriptive study about Organizational Commitment of


permanent employees on Stabilization and Maintenance Stage period in PT. Bank Central Asia, Tbk Kota
Tasikmalaya.

Every company which involves in business competition is demanded to be more productive and have
good performance in purpose of reaching the goals that has been assigned. It influences to the
employees who involve directly in organization. One measure to get productive performance is work
experience. Work experience can show someone’s performance. One of them is permanent employee
on Stabilization and Maintenance Stage period in PT. Bank Central Asia, Tbk Kota Tasikmalaya.
Commitment to the organization influences to someone’s decision to still continue his membership
(Meyer & Allen, 1991). Therefore, this research aims to see the committed description of the permanent
employees on Stabilization and Maintenance Stage period.

The research plan which is used is non-experimental quantitative research using descriptive study
method, on 53 permanent employees. Sampling technic which is used is purposive sampling. Statistical
analysis which is used is counting the members percentage to see the domination of the committed
component.

The result of the research shows that the most dominated OC component is continuance commitment
and normative commitment, where the permanent employee still on their job, because they still need it
and obliged to still work in the company. Meanwhile, the low domination of OC component is affective
commitment, where the members stay on the organization, because they identify themselves.
