Bazam Petroleum (k) limited incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Kenya which is
aspiring to engage in the business of distribution of petroleum and petroleum products in the
energy industry.

The business will be both a distributor and retail through operating petrol stations which will
sell gasoline, motor oil, lubricants, tires, batteries and accessories, as well as a convenience
store selling packaged foods such as candy and potatoes chips, newspapers and magazines,
coffee and tea.

The targeted market for the distribution of petroleum and petroleum products is the East and
Central Africa region. The customer base that is directly relying on the use of petroleum and
petroleum products in the region comprises a population of 217 million people as of 2014. The
number of competitors in the petroleum business is to be estimated to be below 50 franchise
companies.
COMPANY BACKGROUND

Bazam petroleum (K) Ltd is managed by a team of professional individuals with a total of over
20 year’s experience in the petroleum industry. The management is composed of a General
manager, chief executive officer, overseas operations manager and chief financial officer with
15 years of accounting and administrative experience.

Business concept
The business will be both a distributor and retail through operating petrol stations which will
sell gasoline, motor oil, lubricants, tires, batteries and accessories, as well as a convenience
store. Self-serve customers will be able to pay at the pumps using cash, a gas card, debit card or
a major credit card.

The Market
The targeted market for the distribution of petroleum and petroleum products is the East and
Central Africa region. The customer base that is directly relying on the use of petroleum and
petroleum products in the region comprises a population of 217 million people as of 2014. The
number of competitors in the petroleum business is to be estimated to be below 50 franchise
companies.

allocated a distribution quota of:

 Super petrol – 200,000 pls
 Diesel – 150,000 AGO

The company was incorporated in 2001. The head office of the company is located at 680 hotel

The business is both a distributor and retailer by establishing petrol stations which will sell
gasoline, Moto oil, and accessories found in convenience stores.

Fuel and auto motive products

The business is selling all grades of fuel (Diesel, high, medium and low grades), As well as
Motor oil, lubricants, tires, batteries, and car accessories. Customers can choose between full
service and self-service. Self-service customers may be able to avoid standing in line at the cash
register and pay for their fuel purchase at the pumps, using a gas card debit card or major
credit card
