What will I do if it is just 40days before the board exam?

READ THE WHOLE NOTE CAREFULLY FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Take the Board Exam with Security in God's Promises

19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does
he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? 20 I have received a command to
bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. - Numbers 23:19-20

Before the Big Day comes, there are a lot of things that we need to look back. Days when you
struggle to even open a book just to study, moments where you chose to eat rather than to
solve math problems or fell asleep while trying to memorize a formula.

I know most of you has been very tired because of the pressure and a lot of thinking that you've
had. There are always questions of whether will I pass or not? Will I still fight or accept that the
board exam is sweeter the second time around? I just wonder what has been our motivation
that either drove us to move forward or to step back.

As the days are numbered and the board exam is coming, I just want to make you reminded
that we are not fighting the battle alone. The security in God's promises about the board exam
should be the fuel for us to survive. With the new examiners, and competition being so tight,
more materials to study and lack of time to solve problems and memorize formulas, how can we
really achieve security in God's promises?

§ The more you have to do, the more you need to pray. The less time you think you have,
the more time you need to spend with God.
Hybels says if you’ll first take time to pray, you’ll actually have more time for everything else –
that it’s not a matter of time, but a matter of priorities and a matter of trust: When you put God
first and rely upon the strength of God’s grace to get things done, you become more effective
and more efficient. Most importantly, you realize it’s not all up to you – God is up ahead,
clearing the path and guiding the way.
§ Put all your worries to God. For God knows better than you do.
§ Do your task and let God do the finishing.
§ Never think that it is all about you.

Never forget that God has prepared His promises for you before you were born. For every time
that we think about our incapabilities and fears and fatigue, God has His words to always boost
us until we reach the end.
"OUR THINKING vs. GOD'S PROMISES"

YOU: "It's impossible"

GOD: All things are possible (Luke18:27)

YOU: "I'm too tired"

GOD: I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28-30)

YOU: "I can't go on"

GOD: My Grace is sufficient (II Corinthians 12:9 & Psalm 91:15)

YOU: "I can't figure things out"

GOD: I will direct your steps (Proverbs 3: 5-6)

YOU: "I can't do it"

GOD: You can do all things (Phillipians 4:13)

YOU : "I'm not able"

GOD: I am able (II Corinthians 9:8)

YOU: "It's not worth it"

GOD: It will be worth it (Romans 8:28)

YOU: "I can't manage"

GOD: I will supply all your needs (Phillipians 4:19)

YOU: "I'm afraid"

GOD: I have not given you a spirit of fear (II Timothy 1:7)

YOU: "I'm always worried and frustrated"

GOD: Cast all your cares on me (I Peter 5:7)

YOU: "I don't have enough faith"

GOD: I've given everyone a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)

YOU: "I'm not smart enough"

GOD: I give you wisdom (I Corinthians 1:30)

We have all the answers prepared for us. We just need to go on. Take the board exam through
faith. For without God, all these things will be worthless. Cmon Guys!!! You can do this!
Faith Without Action is Dead

You can prepare yourself to succeed in your studies.

Try to develop and appreciate the following habits:

§ Take responsibility for yourself

Recognize that in order to succeed you need to make decisions about your
priorities, your time, and your resources
§ Center yourself around your values and principles
Don't let your friends and acquaintances dictate what you consider
important
§ Put first things first
Follow up on the priorities you have set for yourself, and don't let others, or
other interests, distract you from your goals
§ Discover your key productivity periods and places
Are you most efficient in the Morning, afternoon, or evening?
Find spaces where you can be the most focused and productive.
Prioritize these for your most difficult study challenges
§ Look for better solutions to problems
For example, if you don't understand the course material, don't just re-read
it.
Try something else! Consult with the professor, a tutor, an academic advisor,
a classmate, a study group, or your school's study skills center
§ Look to continually challenge yourself

Last Day before the Boards

Can you bring back time? No. Can you correct all your mistakes? Not anymore.
Can you study everything again at the little time left? Not as well.
Then Trust.
You have given everything you can. Whether if it is enough or not, that’s the best that
you can put yourself into.
Be proud of what you accomplished. You have never imagined yourself to
improve that much but you did. You’ve never thought you can answer countless of
questions but look, you have finished most of them.
Fill yourself up with motivation. Call your family. Be with your friends.
Be Still and know that HE is God. (For I know the plans I have for you,” declares
the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future. –Jeremiah 29:11)
God’s way is better than your way. His plan is bigger than your plan. His dream
for your life is more rewarding, more fulfilling, better than you’ve ever dreamed of. Now
stay open and let God do it His way. Do your best at the boards. Do not leave the
board exam room knowing you can do more. If you cannot do anything anymore…
Smile. Job well done. Everyone is proud of you. Pass the paper. LET GOD do the rest.
The board exam isn’t the end of the line. But it’s a beginning of a such wonderful
professional life.
Congratulations to you Engineer!!
