 Timis County Youth Foundation (FITT) is an
umbrella organization for youth NGOs in the west
Short deescription of the part of Romania. Whit more than 33 Youth NGO
organization members and 26 years old FITT is the most
important and old youth NGO in this part of the
country.
Programs and activities implemented by FITT
range from social programs for disadvantaged
young people to cultural programs, active
citizenship and policy development (local and
national level).
FITT, in itself, is a model of democratic behavior,
being administrated by a General Assembly made
of all the youth NGOs in Timis County (West part
of Romania).

We have in possession the Timisoara Youth House

- which this year has been awarded with the
Label of Quality from the Council of Europe. So,
we are one of the only seven such Youth Centers
in Europe that have this Accreditation and the
only one in Romania.
Our Youth House has the following facilities: 7
seminar rooms, a cinema, a spectacle room, a
hotel where young people can rent rooms while
visiting our city, restaurant, art-music club, gym
and pub.

We are also members of the Regional Youth

Network, European Network of Youth Centers,
Romanian Youth Council, National Youth
Foundations Convention and Muncicipality’s
Advisory Council on Youth Policies.

Our team members and part of the Romanian

Ministry of Youth and Sports’s Structured Dialog
Consultative Council , all while having a reliable
partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

We try to focus on youth participation, local and

national youth policies and on promoting the
European values that are so important to youth
nowadays.

The Youth House is the main place where
different local NGOs meet and develop events for
young people, we are activating as a real youth
center.
We are members of National Youth Council of
Romania (CTR) and also member in the National
Network of youth foundations from Romania.
Our Foundation has been selected by a group
of experts from the non-guvernmental and
private sector to be the coordinator of the
National Capital of Youth 2016 Programme
which is being implemented in our own city.
Currently we are partners in a series of approved
Erasmus+ Projects ranging from KA3, KA2 and of
course KA1.
We are also the official Romanian partner in a
Sports project that has been applied directly to
Brussels, skipping the National evaluation and
which has been approved, being currently in the
implementation phase.
Because our Youth House is Accredited by the
Council of Europe we also try to promote Human
Rights Education among teens by organizing
workshops for them in which we disscuss topics
like European Values, European Identify and Basic
Human Rights.
Regarding our competences in doing the
 previously mentioned activities, we have trained
youth workers and trainers that help us deliver
the training, facilitate workshops and implement
activities.
All of them have advance knowledge and skills in
their own particular area but together we form a
team that provides best results in any given
context.

Transversal activities:
We have transversal activities (policies
development, advocacy at local and national
level) and specific activities which are divided in
two main categories: working with/for youth
NOGs & informal groups of young people and
working with/for youth in general.

Integrated Community Center for Youth is
involved primarily in supporting youth
initiatives in integrated services targeted
on young people in difficult situations
(unemployed, rural etc.)

Entrepreneurship
Cooperating with local and national
authorities to empower youth to access
special programs and facilities for young
entrepreneurs.

EURO YOUTHouse: contains all the

 european projects, activities and
conferences on different topics (eg: human
rights education, youth participation,
active citizenship, social inclusion,
crossborder cooperation). We coordinate
and we are also partner in a large numbers
of Erasmus+ projects, from Key Action 1 to
Key Action 3 projects. In this programme,
the volunteers will be an active part of the
coordinating teams, together with the
members of the Foundation and will also
have the opportunity to participate in
different kinds of projects, thus developing
their knowledge on certain topic at
European level.
TIMforALL: the programme contains all
the projects implemented at local and
regional level, tackling the urban and small
urban enviroments.
RURALactive: is based on projects that
take place outside Timisoara, in the whole
county. The project aims at connecting and
working with youth from small cities and
villages, using non-formal education
methods in projects that topics such as
non-discrimination, social inclusionand
human rights education.
TIMInnovate: the programme contains all
the activities that the Foundation offers for
youth organizations, in order to help them
grow and improve the quality of their
activity. These activities differ from
trainings on project management,
organizational development, volunteers’
management, strategy-making trainings,
support for applying for different public or
private funding lines

What are the skills and expertise
of key staff/persons involved in
this application?

Responsibles for partnerships are youth workers
with experience in project designing, facilitating,
coordinating and training, both at local and
international levels. Their competencies will be
used in order to prepare the group for this inter-
cultural experience, to share all the useful
information, and moreover, to contribute at the
follow-up of the project, dissemination, visibility
and exploitation of the results.
Mihai Adrian Vilcea is the President of FITT, and
he is coordinating all the activities in the youth
and educational area. He holds a BA diploma in
Educational Sciences, specialized in Pedagogy,
awarded by the West University of Timisoara. In
2012 he graduated the MA programme
”Management for Educational Organizations”
awarded by the same university. Also he is a
professional trainer since 2009, facilitating and
developing educational programs mainly for
youth and adults.
Bogdan Petru Crișan is the Vice President of
FITT, and he is responsible for the Technical
Department, and also overwatches the activity of
the Foundation. He has experience in working
with young people for years, being the Vice
President and President of the Student’s
Organization in the West University of Timisoara.
Dragos Samoila is our graphic designer, he
work with young people for almost 3 years now,
being involved in voluntary projects in students
organization and developing skills and
competences in the field of using digital tools. He
also hosts trainigng for young people to improve
 their skills and how to use digital tools in their
work with young people.

Vlad Dan Chereches is the person responsible

for everything regarding youth policies and the
position of FITT in the decision making process of
youth policies in Romania. His experience in this
field comes from actively fighting for students
rights for several years now, being the president
of one of the biggest students organizations in
Timisoara and also being, for 2 consecutive
years, elected as the president of The National
Allience of Students Organizations in Romania.

Aida Onica is responsible for the international

projects, most of them Erasmus+ projects, as we,
host several youth exchanges and training
courses throughout the whole year and also
hosting an EVS project. We are continuosly
looking to improve our international activity, by
developing our international network of partner
organizations. She has experience in the field of
implementing local projects, but also Erasmus+
projects at different NGO’s.

Loredana Lutescu is responsible with PR. She

has experience in this fields, starting her activity
in the Students’ Organisation in the West
University of Timisoara and later becoming the
vice-president of the PR department of The
National Alliance of Students Organizations in
Romania, developing expertise in this field and
also facilitating trainings for students
organizations members.

Maria Train works as Foreign Relations Expert

and previously she was a volunteer in our
organization. Her main responsibilities are to
communicate with actors and stakeholders
outside the organization. She has also
coordinated different local funding projects and
helped in the implementation of Erasmus+
projects. She has a deep interest in international
