EMEA03-06-241 Long service loyalty award scheme – Spain

The Long Service Award has been set up for permanent employees who have worked for Lloyd’s
Register for a Recognised Service Interval (RSI) of 10, 20, 30, 35 and 40 years. Broken service is also
accounted for; there for more than one period totalling a RSI will be rewarded.

The reward for 10 years’ service is a prestigious insignia of the Lloyd’s Register Ladybadge in the
form of a sterling silver lapel pin. 

The reward for 20, 30, 35 and 40 years’ service will be a prestigious insignia of the Lloyd’s Register
Ladybadge in the form of a gold lapel pin graduated in value to reward higher RSI’s. Also a suitable
significant gift, a luncheon with fellow colleagues and an additional week leave will be awarded.

Recipients of 20, 30, 35 and 40 years’ service will also receive the following:

Letter of recognition:

A letter of recognition will be prepared and signed by Group Chairman. The letter will be generic
and be in recognition of loyalty and with no references to individual performance.

A suitable significant gift:

The gift choice is limited to a suitable significant gift for you to enjoy during the rest of your
employment and through retirement. The gift choice should be in the form of a single significant
item or part of an overall set. Examples of such a gift include a work of art, antique, time piece,
jewellery, camera or audio/ visual equipment. You may wish to contribute your own founds to “top
up” the gift where appropriate.

You can also contribute the value of your gift to one of our corporate social responsibility projects.
LR has an allocated budget to match the funds, which will be available on a first come, first served
basis. Once the budget has been exhausted, this option will not be available. Please contact
Mandeep Hungan if you wish to make an enquiry about this.

The gift must be purchase by arranging to the item to be invoiced to Lloyd’s Register and passed
for payment in the normal way. Under exceptional circumstances, a manager may use their
company credit card to purchase the item and claim back the cost through expenses.

You may purchase your own suitable significant gift. However, this will need to be pre-approved by
local management. When submitting your claim you must present an original receipt for approval.

Luncheon with fellow college:


The luncheon is intended to be a celebration of your service with Lloyd’s Register. The meal should
be of the nature of a three course function. If possible, luncheons should be arranged “in-house”
within Lloyd’s Register offices. The luncheon is attended by you and up to 11 colleagues, 18 for 40
years award.

In large offices, where two or more employees qualify within the same year, local management will
where possible arrange a larger luncheon function or space them out accordingly.

Additional leave:

In addition, after achieving each RSI, you will be granted and additional week’s leave to be taken
during the following twelve months. No financial alternative in lieu of this leave will be provided,
and all leave will be taken at the discretion of local management.

The maximum values of the award scheme for Spain are given fellow:

35 Up to 2.200 €         For a maximum of 12 employees up to 700 €

40 Up to 2.500 €         For a maximum of 18 employees up to 1.050 €

Costs:

Where possible all costs are to initially meet by Lloyd’s Register.

NB:

Where recognition for long service has already been rewarded on a local basis, either voluntary or
statutory, at local management discretion element of the benefits outlines above will made
available.
