2. Xeus Pro 5 Features Description

Xeus Pro 5 is InfoVista’s premier traffic measurement recording and drive-test post-processing analysis software
that supports daily optimization and project roll-outs with integrated workflow capability. The main key features
that are available are:

 Modularity
Xeus Pro 5 is unique in that the optimization engineers need only to familiarize themselves with a single
desktop platform, whether they are performing day-to-day optimization or project-based tuning. Important
data-sources such as Drive-Test logs and live Network Traffic Measurement Recordings (call-trace data) are
add-on modules to Xeus Pro 5, allowing the engineers to get up to speed on their work.

 Drive-test Import Capability

The Drive Test tool is able to import TEMS FMT, NEMO 4 XML log-files, NEMO 5 and Agilent .AOD log- files. It
post-processes the log-files fast in order to create logfile database.

 Smarter Drive Test Analysis

Smart algorithms are incorporated for detection of missing neighbors, swapped sectors and overshooting
cells in a log-file set. Each detected missing neighbor will appear as a single record in the Workbench for
further analysis. With in-built L3 algorithms, diagnostics for each Call Event is automatically analyzed and
displayed in the Event Diagnostic window.

 Drive Test Plot and Comparison Plot tool

The Drive Test and Comparison Plot tool is able to plot and compare different network technologies and
frequencies. The Drive Test Formula Tool is also used to edit formulas for Drive Test Statistics, both of which
are useful in cluster optimization and benchmarking.

 Traffic Measurement Recording (TMR) Import & Analysis

TMR are live call-trace data typically collected in the mobile networks OSS. These recordings consist of
information such as cell information, radio measurements and call messages, derived from actual calls made
by all subscribers in an operator’s network.

3.2.8.5. Neighbor Optimization

The Neighbor Optimization feature provides an easy solution to verify the neighbor plan and find both missing
neighbors and unutilized existing neighbors based on the Ericsson GPEH or Huawei PCHR or NSN Megamon or ZTE
WCDMA CTS recording. Using the Neighbor Optimization feature, you will obtain the optimal neighbor definition
with priorities analyzed from live network data.

The list of neighbors in WCDMA network is presented in a tabular form in Workbench and on map view such as
MapInfo, Google Earth or Bing Maps. An accurate neighbor plan is crucial for network performance in WCDMA
network.

If there are too many defined neighbors in a network, there will be a greater risk that the most important
neighbors are not being measured due to time constraints. On the other hand, if a neighbor is not defined
(missing) and is too strong, the system will drop the call. This makes optimizing the neighbor plan one of the most
important tasks for a WCDMA optimization engineer.

InfoVista Confidential - Copyright © 2014 InfoVista S.A. All rights reserved. 37

Xeus Pro 5 Technical Product Description

You can use the Neighbor Optimization tool to perform one of the following:-

 Missing neighbor – Allows you to perform analysis of the reported missing neighbors for possible further
action. This powerful feature for WCDMA networks is based on ‘real’ customer behavior and not on test
equipment.

 Re-rank the neighbor with new priority setting – Neighbor Optimization allows you to reset the ranking
of the neighbors based on its category and ranking type in Xeus.

 Remove neighbor – You can delete an existing mutual neighbor relation if the neighbor relation is no
longer required or necessary.

 Issue a Change Request – A change request is created after analyzing and deciding which neighbor
relations need to be created, removed, or modified.

3.2.8.6. Pilot Pollution Analysis

The Pilot Pollution Analysis presents an overview of what the interference looks like in a network. It leads you to
the cells that cause the biggest interference in the network or the cell that is most interfered in the network.

Ericsson GPEH & LTE Call Trace or Huawei PCHR & LTE Call Trace or NSN Megamon or ZTE WCDMA CTS presents
this information to you both in a graphical map view and in a spreadsheet form for easy analysis in Xeus Pro 5.
The data can be sorted according to the worst polluters or those cells experiencing the most pollution. The analysis
results will be presented in spreadsheet form at the Workbench.

This will give you very important information when improving the performance of the WCDMA and LTE network.

4. Licensing
Two types of licensing are available:
 Standalone licensing for a single user machine
 Network licensing for multiple user machines in a network.

For network licensing, the License Manager Server is required in this case and functions as a centralized
software access system by verifying your machines’ Product ID (PID) in two ways:
 Controls the program features that are downloadable by your machines
 Tracks the number of count for concurrent running instances of Xeus Pro 5. No new machine is allowed
to access the program features if the maximum count is reached.
Example:
Having a maximum count of 50 means only 50 user machines can run Xeus Pro 5 concurrently. A free
count will be available until any of the machine exits from Xeus Pro 5.
Note:
