LESSON : In the lake district
TEXTBOOK: English G 2000
TIME: 50 minutes
UNIT : 5 New Horizons

Materials: textbook, blackboard,dictionaries.

Lesson aims: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
- to talk past activities that are important to the present;
- to develop their vocabulary;
- to express prefrerences and to argue;
- to develop the ability of speaking in English.

Organization: individual work, group work.

Skills: speaking, writing, reading.

Warm- up: Teacher asks for the attendance list and students answer. T checks the
homework and explain to pupils where they have mistakes.
Checking previous knowledge: when we use present perfect and how we form it.

Activity 1

Aims: - to complete the sentences;


- to play the game;

-T. tell Ss to complete with negative of present perfect Ss-T Speaking and
the sentences from exercise 6 a) page 80; writing
-T. ask Ss to write o few sentences about themselves Ss-T Writing
using the negative of present perfect;
-Ss are asked to play the game from exercise 8 page Hole class Speaking
80. Three children have to get out and the rest of the
class must change something in the room, then the 3
children come back and have to guees what is changed
in the class.
Activity 2

Aims: - to use the words from the pictures and write questions;
- to answer the questions looking in the pictures from exercise 10 page 89.

PROCEDURE INTERACTION ABILITIES


-T asks Ss to use the words in the picture and write the question, Ss-T Writing
then try and guess what the people have done;
-Ss are asked to work in pairs. First pair look an page 132 ans Group work Writing and
the second pair look at page 81.Then they have to look in the speaking
pictures and ask question and answer.

Feed-back

Both the teacher and the students provide continuous feed back through observations. The
teacher checks that the students complete the tasks entirely and correctly at any stage of the
lesson, she gives extra explanations whenever necessary, she monitors certain students in order
to prevent possible problems.
