King’s College

King’s College provides accommodation


for 292 men of the University. The College
operates as an academic residential
community of undergraduate and
postgraduate members drawn from country
and suburban areas throughout Australia as
well as many other nations.

King’s boasts some of the best facilities


of any Residential College in Australia.
These include a well-equipped gymnasium,
swimming pool, rowing shed and pontoon, a
24-hour computer room, tutorial/study rooms,
barbeque facilities, beach volleyball court
and extensive well-lit car parks. The Junior
Common Room is equipped with satellite
television, table tennis table and a billiard table. In 2011, King’s will open its state of the art, Centenary Building, which will
accommodate 39 students in a unique living and learning environment.

The College provides a safe, secure, comfortable and supportive


environment conducive to the pursuit of academic success, personal
development and community service. Resident and non-resident
Academic Tutors provide comprehensive study assistance and support to
Members of College, at no extra charge.

A team of Residential Assistants, employed by the College, provide on-


going guidance, support and oversight to College Members during their
residency at King’s College. A College Porter is also present 7 nights per
week to help ensure the safety of the students and to allow for the round
the clock operation of the College’s Reception.
