To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Cheri Pokarney and I am the General Manager of the University of

Lethbridge Students’ Union.

I have had the pleasure of working with Alana for the past three years while
she worked for the Students’ Union as our Fresh Fest Volunteer Coordinator.

We have hosted Fresh Fest for 8 years and I can honestly say that Alana has
been the most competent Volunteer Coordinator we have ever had. She
worked diligently in her position and consistently demonstrated her
leadership skills by exhibiting effective task performance, efficiency and
productivity. Her observations and contributions were always innovative and
insightful and she did an outstanding job supporting and motivating her
subordinates and fellow associates. Alana had an impressive way of staying
organized, and she was very thorough and dependable. She was also
exceptional at maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to cooperate as
a team player.

Alana's congeniality and professionalism enabled her to comfortably interface

with students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members on and off
campus. She always led by example and was respected by her peers. It's
unfortunate that her time working for us was just a term position, because I
would love to have her as a permanent member of my staff.

In conclusion, I can think of no better candidate than Alana Millard for a

teaching position. If her performance here at the Students’ Union was any
indication of her future potential, she will continue to be a respected,
engaging student and community leader, and she will be an asset to the
workforce in the future.

Sincerely,

Cheri Pokarney
General Manager
University of Lethbridge Students’ Union
