SESSION PLAN

Sector : Automotive and Land Transport

Qualification Title : Automotive Servicing NC 2
Unit of Competency : Service Charging System
Module Title : Servicing Charging System
Learning Outcomes:
LO 1 – Test charging system components and identify fault
LO 2 - Disassemble alternator
LO 3 – Repair/replace and assemble alternator component/parts .

A. INTRODUCTION
In this module you will learn how to test and repair direct current motors and the starting components
appropriate to vehicles. You will be performing activities to develop your skill in testing starting system
components and identify faults, disassemble starter motor, repair/replace parts and reassemble starter
components.
