Magnitude of the Problem

The management ranked Muscle pain/Low back pain as the number one illnesses that commonly
affect the employees of the establishment and thus given a score of 5. Flu ranked second and followed
by Headache.

Social Impact

Muscle pain/Low back pain and Flu ranked first since these would usually compromise the
workforce as well as the customers in the provision of service.

Feasibility

All of the diseases were given a score of 5 since they can be easily remedied with pharmacological
(analgesics) and non-pharmacological (rest, water, liniments) management.

Vulnerability to Technology

All of the said diseases can be easily remedied with drugs and non-pharmacological
managements. However pharmacological treatment may or may not take effect 100% as planned most
of the time.
Criterion for Decision Making

These criteria served as a guide to help the project proponents decide what the health problems
to prioritize and needs more attention in order to come up with a health program plan. The following
are the decision matrix criteria.

(1) The magnitude of the problem


a. The problem which has the greatest number of individuals affected. This was given a
score of 5 for the most number of cases and a score of 1 was given to the least number
of affected individuals among the prioritized health problems.
(2) Social concern
a. The problem which is of greatest concern to the employees was given a score of 5.
(3) Feasibility
a. The problem that has the most feasible solution was given a score of 5.
(4) Vulnerability to technology
a. The problem which can be lessened through the presence of technology was given a
score of 5.
