Introduction

A diamond is one of the most valuable gems on the face of the planet. It has been
known throughout the ages as a coveted and precious jewel, and for many, it is seen as
the ultimate sign of love and commitment.

Have you ever thought about what makes a diamond so precious? Here are few little
known facts about the diamond that will explain its high value:

v A diamond is known for its high dispersion of light.

v It is the hardest known naturally occurring mineral.
v The word diamond is derived from the Greek word for unbreakable, untamed; also
from the Greek word to overpower or to tame.
v It originates from deep in the earth where high pressures and temperatures enable it
to form.

Makes you look at a diamond in whole new light, doesn’t it? The even more
extraordinary part is that we are diamonds, and these attributes apply to us. This is why
the diamond is the symbol of this framework and of my company.

The Three Premises

The P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework is based on main three premises:

v We are all diamonds, just at different stages in the diamond process.
v Diamonds beget diamonds.
v All diamonds go through a process which is essential to their inherent value and
brilliance.

Premise 1: We are all diamonds, just at different stages in the diamond process.

You are a diamond. You are priceless and deserve any and all of the desires that God has
placed in your heart. Your mind is also a diamond, and is the key catalyst in creating a
life of value and meaning. The P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework allows you to mine and refine
yourself, your mind, and the inner and outer resources in your life. You will learn how
to take the diamonds in your life through this polishing framework, which is based on
spiritual laws and practices, including the Law of Attraction.

P.O.L.I.S.H.ed helps entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs and professionals to polish and

upgrade the essence of their personal and professional branding and image, and to assist
them through the process of attracting the right resources for their businesses and
everyday lives. Although the framework has been branded to serve these specific
audiences, it has been designed to be applicable in organizations, groups, and any
situation or occasion that you feel could benefit from it. The P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework

3
is a powerful tool for anyone who wants to strategically refine their inner and outer
diamonds.
What is the P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework? P.O.L.I.S.H.ed is a process that is made up of
the following six steps:

1. P repare
2. O pen
3. L ive
4. I nspire
5. S uccess
6. H arvest and Hone

The six steps are paired up into three stages. The first stage consists of Step 1: Prepare
and Step 2: Open, Step 3: Live and Step 4: Inspire make up the second stage, and
Step 5: Success and Step 6: Harvest & Hone is the last stage. The paired steps in each
stage compliment each other, and as you complete one step, you are in essence making
advanced in the other step as well. Once you have reaped your harvest, you can start the
process all over again with another desire!

Premise 2: Diamonds Beget Diamonds

This framework is relationship oriented. It is about being in joyful relationship and

communication with not only those around you, but also with your inner self. The most
durable diamonds in the world are used to polish other diamonds. Nothing else can
polish the diamonds, because of their resistance to scratching. How does that apply to
you? Seek out relationships with those who can help you bring your desired outcome to
pass. Hire a coach, work with a mentor, surround yourself with like-minded, positive
people who will encourage your growth. Use the inner and outer diamonds (i.e.
resources) that you have to polish any other areas of your life that you would like to
upgrade.

Premise 3: All diamonds go through a process which is essential to their inherent

value and brilliance.

A diamond has certain unique characteristics that causes it to stand out and be seen as a
symbol of exclusively and high value.

Characteristics of a diamond:
v Multifaceted
v Rare
v Unique (no two diamonds are exactly alike)
v Expensive
v Is created through a heat and pressure-based process
v Starts off rough/as a piece of rock or coal

4
v Brilliant
v Radiant
v Precious
v Impenetrable
v High value/high esteem
v Symbol of investment
v Symbol of love
v Symbol of beauty
v Symbol of commitment
v Reflects light
v Strong and durable

All of these attributes are what causes a diamond to be one of the most coveted gems in
the world. The beauty of this concept is that these are attributes that the diamonds in
your life have. You may have to mine them, your may have to refine them. You may
have to do some cutting, you may have to do some cleaning. But all in all, these are
attributes that are already existing in your diamonds as potential. They are not attributes
that must be sought from outside of the diamond. They are already within. The goal of
the P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework is to mine and refine these attributes in your inner and
outer diamonds.

What are my inner and outer diamonds?

Your inner and outer diamonds are the resources that are within and around you. Your
inner diamonds are those desires, thoughts, ideas, and dreams that you have that are full
of potential, but are waiting to be manifested in your physical reality. They are your
gifts to the world and are of priceless value. Your mind is the most important inner
diamond of all.

Your outer diamonds are the relationships that are cultivated or could be cultivated with
the individuals, groups, or organizations in your environment. Because everyone is a
diamond, everyone is of significant importance. Your relationship with others is a
reflection of your relationship with yourself. These relationship carry the potential for
so many gifts and powerful lessons, but we must know how to cultivate them from a
place of value.

It’s All Energy…It’s All Spirit

My goal is not to get too philosophical or to seem out of touch with reality and the
physical world, but the essence of everything in our physical environment is made of
spirit/energy. Your thoughts, your body, and your actions are empowered by a certain
type of energy. Depending on the energy that you emit, you will attract experiences,
thoughts, people, and things that corresponds to that same energy. The P.O.L.I.S.H.ed
framework helps you to refine your energy, so that you can consciously take steps and

5
attract what you desire, instead of doing so by (negative) default.

What Energy Are You Broadcasting: Personal and Professional Branding

We too are spiritual beings living in physical bodies. Because are energetic beings, we
must be very cognizant and careful of the messages that we broadcast in our
environments. This framework will allow you to align ALL of your energies with your
desires and how you want to present yourself and your business to the world, and how to
stay consistent with that vision. P.O.L.I.S.H.ed also allows you to choose the message
and image that will attract perfect customers, relationships, resources, and ultimately, the
unfolding of your desires.

The P.O.L.I.S.H.ed Worksheet

In order for the P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework to work, you must take your diamond through
the six-step process. The other part of the framework is a worksheet displaying the
diagram of a multifaceted diamond (see below). This is where you will fill in the
different aspects or facets of what you desire, and map out strategic steps to attract it to
you. Currently, there are four P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheets: Business, Personal Branding,
Strategic Fundraising, and Designing Your Day. Details on how to use the worksheets to
attract your desired outcome will be given in your individual coaching sessions.
Depending on what you've decided to get coaching on, the corresponding worksheet is
included in your curriculum package.

The P.O.L.I.S.H.ing Worksheet

6
The P.O.L.I.S.H.ing Process

A diamond holds so much value mainly because of the process that it goes through. It
must be go through an extreme heat and pressure-based process for many years. Then it
is searched for, then mined, cleaned, cut and shaped, and then inspected for
imperfections. After all of this, it is finally presented as the beautiful sparkling jewel that
is coveted by so many. We do not see the process that the diamond goes through, but we
see the result. We know that the process was worth it.
In order to manifest your desired outcome, you must commit to seeing it come to pass. I
have given you three types of tools in this program to assist you in the P.O.L.I.S.H.ing
process.

v Five Diamond Mining Sessions: These are more popularly known as “meditations”,
but they were designed to help gain clarity on your desire and on what steps you
need to take to manifest it. There is a journaling component to these recordings that
will allow you to clear your mind of resistance, and to mine out what is in your
conscious and subconscious mind. It will allow you to get rid of what is not desired
in your thought patterns and to polish what is desired and needed.
v Six Inspirational Message Recordings: I recorded these messages because I
wanted to give you quick boosts of inspiration to coach you through this process.
You will find them to be a good source of motivation when challenges arise.
v Fifteen Diamond Mining Exercises: You will find these exercises throughout the
book. These exercises will help you plug in the information that you need in your
P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheet and are quick and should take no more than 15 minutes.
This process will only be of benefit to you if you actually take the steps and do the
work. Do not skip over the exercises, because you will not get the results that you
are looking for.

Do Not Resist the Process

You may be wondering why so many situations in your life are putting so much pressure
on you all at once. It is a part of your diamond process. This process will make you
stronger, more durable, and even more brilliant.

Do not be afraid of the process, and do not resist the process. The sooner you drop all
resistance to your refining process, the sooner it will be over, and the sooner you will
have your desired outcome. The key to all of the steps in the P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework
is to have fun! Life is to be enjoyed. If you are not enjoying the process, then you are
not on the right track.

7
Chapter 1
Pave the Way for Your Destiny

Step I: P -prepare

This is the beginning of the first stage in the P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework, which includes
Step I: Prepare and Step II: Open. The theme for this stage can be found in Premise 1:
We are all diamonds, just at different stages. This stage will allow you pinpoint
where you are in regards to your desired outcome, and allow you to begin opening the
way to its unfolding.

The first thing that you must do achieve your desired outcome is to prepare. Preparation
involves doing the necessary research and planning in regards to your desired outcome.
Preparation is an active sign on your faith and belief that what you desire will come to
fruition. It is your way of telling God “I know that what I desire is coming, so I am
making room for it!“

This step is the mining process. This is the point where your diamond may be in the
“diamond in the rough” stage. It is raw and full of potential. It is at this point where you
decide what essence/spirit/vibration that you will emit (your intention). This essence
should be the exact same essence of whatever it is that you desire to manifest in your
life.

Clarity

A diamond of high value is known for its clarity. Clarity is a huge part of this step in the
P.O.L.I.S.H.ing process. Many times, we have an idea of what we want, but there are
still many things clouding our decision to either move forward or to get a clearer picture
of what we want. When you know exactly what you desire, it makes the manifestation
process many times faster. You must be able to see it and feel it, so that you can put
your energy into it. Unless you have a clear picture or idea in your mind of what you
desire, chances are you will not receive what you desire. According to how much clarity
you have on what you want, is what determines what will show up in your life and how
it shows up.

Choosing the Primary Essence of Your Desired Outcome

It is also within this step that you consciously choose the essence of what is you want to
attract. The way that you describe the essence of your desire should be straight and to
the point. The shorter the better. The essence could be described as a phrase such as, “I
am confident and successful” or simply a word or two such as “Confidence and
Success”. The point is to decide what essence it is that you will attract, and then take on
that same essence, because we know that whatever essence you are emitting is what
essence will be attracted to you.

8
The essence that you select will permeate your image, your message and messaging and
everything that you do in relation to the manifestation of your desire and the desire itself.
Selecting an essence runs deeper than a mission or vision statement. In fact, it should be
deeply embedded in your mission and vision statements. It should be the common thread
in all of your messaging.

Even though you will have one main essence, you may also decide to select other
attributes or characteristics of your desired outcome. It is recommended that you select
up to four additional attributes to plug into your P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheet. These
additional attributes should compliment your primary essence, and should strengthen the
vision that you have for your desired outcome. For example, if you decided that
“Confidence” will be the primary essence of your desired outcome, you may select
“Success”, “Integrity”, “Service”, and “Unique” as your four additional attributes.

Commitment

Preparation also involves your initial commitment to seeing your desire come to pass. It
is at this point to you decide that you will not look back or stand still during the process,
but that you will move forward no matter what obstacles may stand in your way. The
preparation stage allows you to assess what obstacles may arise. It also allows you to
assess what inner and outer diamonds (i.e. resources) that are available to you. This is
somewhat similar to the S.W.O.T. (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis
that is done for nonprofit organizations and businesses. Many times, we are not aware of
the resources that we have at our disposal because are negatively-focusing on our
situations. You will take inventory of the inner and outer resources that you have at your
disposal, and decide how to best use them in relation to the strategic plan that you will
create. Remember, there are always resources available. It is up to you to attract them.

Mining Exercise #1: Clarity

At this point, you should have in mind what it is that you want to manifest. If not, please
take the time to consciously decide on one thing that you will take through the
P.O.L.I.S.H.ing process. If you are not sure at this point of what it is that you wish to
manifest, or if you feel that you cannot select one option over another because you need
ore clarity, please take a few minutes and listen to the Clarity Mining Session recording.
If you are certain of what it is that you wish to manifest, go ahead and listen to the
Clarity Mining Session anyway to add more fuel to your fire!

Mining Exercise #2: Selecting the Essence of Your Desire

On your P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheet, write in the essence of what it is that you intend to
manifest through the P.O.L.I.S.H.ing process. Remember, the essence of your desire

9
should be short and to the point, essentially one word like “confidence“ or “peace“ or a
short phrase like “successful leadership“. Then, select up to four additional attributes of
your desired outcome that accurately captures what it is that you desire. Write these
attributes into your worksheet. If you’re having trouble, think of your values and how
you would describe yourself. What is important to you? These are great examples to
help you get on the right track.

Mining Exercise #3: Mining for Resources

Take inventory of the inner and outer diamonds/resources that you have that will help
you to attract your desired outcome. What relationships, people, places, and things in
your life could lend you support in this endeavor? Write them down here.

Mining Exercise #4: P.O.L.I.S.H.ing Worksheet

Go to your P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheet and plug in the resources that you listed above.
List your inner resources in the inner facets of the diamond, and your outer resources in
the outer facets of the diamond.

10
Chapter 2
Your Grand Opening

Step II: Open

In order to attract your desired outcome you must be open to receiving it. Any resistance
or blocks that you have will either cause what you desire to take a longer time to
manifest, or in the worst case scenario, cause it not to show up at all.

In the Step 1, you prepared the way for your desired outcome to come to you. In this
step, it is now time to show the world that you are ready, and to take active steps in
doing so. Many times, we get caught up in the belief that thinking positively is enough
“action” and that things will just unfold without any effort on our parts. Even though we
are spiritual beings, and everything around us has a spiritual essence, we still live in a
physical world, which simply means that we still have to take physical action toward
what we desire. The key is taking inspired direction from God and your intuition.

Another aspect of the “Open” step is being open to how your particular desired outcome
is manifested. It is more about the essence of your desired outcome than about how it
shows up. For example, you may select “Success” as the primary essence of your
desired outcome. Success can show up in your life in many ways. Have focus on your
desired outcome, but do not be inflexible. Blessings can show up in a myriad of ways,
sometimes even better than you expected.

As Arielle Ford says, Nature abhors a vacuum. The faster and more completely you
clear out the old, the more rapidly and easily you will draw in the new.

On your P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheet, you listed what inner and outer resources that you
have in your possession. It is now time to figure out how these resources will serve you
and how to implement them in the inspired action steps that you will take.

Inspired Action

We have all heard of intuition and stories of someone being directed inwardly to do
something without really understanding why. It is in these moments that one
experiences inspired action. The question is how do we get the inspired action to come
to us when we need it most? This is what we are going to tackle in exercise six.

The Importance of Spreading Your Message

When a business has a grand opening, it is usually a huge event and the business does
whatever it can to get your attention to stop by and see what’s going on. You see flyers
everywhere. The business throws out all the stops because they want to impress you -
and because they are eager for your business. The key is that the business wants the

11
world to know that they are open and ready for new customers.

When you are open, you take action to show that you are open. You are fueled with
passion and enthusiasm, and you do not worry or fret about whether or not what you
have desired will come to pass, because you know that you have already taken the
necessary steps to welcome it into your life. Do not hide your talents or believe that you
are not good enough to have whatever it is that you desire. This one thing alone will
close you up to your desired outcome. Know that it is possible for you to manifest your
desire, and let go of any feelings of unworthiness.

Mining Exercise #5: Removing the Blocks of Resistance

When you find yourself desiring something that is just not showing up in your life, it is
usually because of a block of resistance within you that is not allowing your desired
outcome to manifest. This resistance is usually a negative belief about yourself or about
your desired outcome. Take a few minutes to listen to the Removing the Blocks of
Resistance Mining Session recording to begin moving past the negative patterns in your
life.

Note: For more exercises like this one, check out the work of Christy Whitman
(www.christywhitman.com) and David & Kristin Morelli (www.everythingisenergy.com).

Mining Exercise #6: Taking Inspired Action

It is now time to strategize on what inspired actions you can take in achieving your
desired outcome. In this exercise, you ask yourself “What IS in my power to do or act
on?“ and you will write down what options you have available to you. Think about the
resources that you have. The goal of this exercise is to stop the negative “I can’t” pattern
of thinking, and to create a new positive thinking pattern based on what you actually can
do with the resources that you have. Once you have come up with a few ideas, select the
top ideas that resonate with you, and write them into your P.O.L.I.S.H.ing worksheet.

Mining Exercise #7: Aligning Your Energy

Your beliefs, thoughts, words, feelings, and actions must all be congruent when you are
participating in the P.O.L.I.S.Hing process. If these things are not aligned and in
agreement, you will find yourself spinning your wheels when trying to attract your
desired outcome. Listen to the Aligning Your Energy Mining Session recording to assist
you with harnessing your energy to work for you instead of against you.

12
Chapter 3
Living Your Vision

Step III: Live

Step III: Live is the beginning of the second stage in the P.O.L.I.S.H.ed framework. The
theme of this stage is found in Premise 2: Diamonds beget diamonds and Premise 3:
All diamonds go through a process which is essential to their inherent value and
brilliance. This stage is about using your inner diamonds to interact with your outer
diamonds, in order to unfold the fulfillment of your desired outcome. The key here is
implementing strategic steps, and inspiring others around you to shine brighter.

The purpose of this step is to get you in not only the mindset of your desired outcome,
but to begin living out the vision that you have of your desired outcome. You must
begin believing and acting as if your desired outcome has already manifested or is on its
way. It is the steps of faith that you will begin taking in this step that will build the
momentum of your vision coming to life.

Because you have already laid out what inspired action steps you can take, you have the
outline of a strong strategic plan in which to follow. The Live step will allow you to
begin implementing those steps. There’s nothing to it, but to do it!

Being Is the Key

This step is not only about taking action. It is also about a certain way of being.
Without your actions and what you are “being” being in agreement, you will not
manifest your desired outcome. Go back to the essence that you identified in the prepare
step as being the essence of what you desire. That is the same essence that you must
take on if you want to attract your desired outcome.

This is all about the “I Am” factor. You must believe at the core of your being that you
already are whatever you will be when your desired outcome manifests.

Follow the Leader

Who do you admire? Who do you look up to? Even the best of the best have mentors
and coaches to encourage and inspire them. No one is perfect, but this person is
somehow living a life that you would like to live or has characteristics and skills that you
would like to develop.

It is essential at this stage to hire a coach and to work with that person to give you a
different vantage point on your situation. My coach, Christy Whitman, says that a coach
helps one to have “total-vision” instead of “tunnel-vision”. Sometimes all you need is to
see your process in a different light in order to move forward. By investing in this

13
coaching program, you are already ahead of the game!

Working with mentors and a mastermind group is also a great strategy to use when
attaining a desired outcome. A mastermind group is a gathering of like-minded and
positive people who you can bounce ideas off of, network with, and use as a source of
encouragement during challenging times. Another bonus of being a part of a
mastermind is that you get to return the favor by being a source of inspiration to
someone else.

Mining Exercise #8: Follow the Leader

I urge you to find a mentor or someone that you look up to and study their story of
success. If you can, interview them. If you do not currently have a mentor, ask someone
who you admire. Find out what steps and strategies that they used to propel themselves
to success and write them down here.

Mining Exercise #9: Who/What Am I Being?

Earlier in this chapter, I stated that the essence that you are operating out of and the
essence of your desire must match, otherwise, you will not manifest your desired
outcome. In Step I: Prepare, you identified the essence of your desired outcome. Ask
yourself, how would I act if I was operating from this essence? What things would I do
differently? Write down what comes to mind. Then, commit to implementing one new
action in your behavior for the next seven days. Then, add another new action the
following week. Continue this until you have implemented all the new actions that you
have identified. What changes have you noticed?

Mining Exercise #10: I Am Statements

It is time for you to consciously decide who you are and what that means in terms of
your desired outcome. Write down five “I Am” statements. They must be related to
your desired outcome and who you see yourself to be when your desired outcome has
manifested. Just like in Exercise #1, think of your values and what is important to you.
This will help you get on the right track.

14
15
Chapter 4
Returning the Favor

Step IV: Inspire

In the previous step, I explained why it is so important for you to have a coach, mentor,
and other resources of support when taking steps toward your desired outcome. Step IV:
Inspire is all about you inspiring and helping others toward achieving their desired
outcomes. It is now your turn to inspire others to become better and to add value to their
lives by sharing what knowledge you have gained with them.

As you begin to get closer to your desired outcome, people will start to notice that you
have become different. There will be a special “something” about you, and they will
want to learn more about what you are doing differently. They are going to recognize
your brilliance and want what you've got! People will come out of the “woodworks”
and begin asking you to collaborate with them, offer you unsolicited praise, or ask you
for your advice and expertise on a particular topic or issue.

The Golden Thread

The golden thread throughout this step and the entire framework is relationships and
relationship building. Building key strategic relationships with others is the catalyst to
reaching your desired outcome. Cultivating powerfully positive relationships with
others and with yourself is a key factor in being propelled to success (your desired
outcome). No one can do it all alone, and it is here that you get to take an active role in
contributing to the relationship.

Being Gracious Goes A Long Way

Many times, we have difficulty accepting compliments from others. We either downplay
what we have done, or downplay the compliment. As you attract others who are inspired
by your brilliance, remember to be gracious and to accept the compliments and praise
that comes your way. Do not devalue yourself or anything that you have done. Doing
so will not attract what you desire.

Also, remember to be humble. Being arrogant and a “know-it-all” is not the way to your
desired outcome. You just might repel the very individual who could either be your
resource, or you, their resource.

Make An Investment

When you inspire others and assist them in achieving their desired outcome, you are in
essence, making an investment that will come back to you in some shape or form. We

16
are the tools that carry out the handiwork of our Creator. When you plant a seed in
someone else's life, you make an investment in your own future as well. If you are
wondering why certain things are not coming to fruition in your life, evaluate whether or
not you've been stagnant in investing in the lives of those around you.

Mining Exercise #11: Who Can I Inspire?

Choose two or three individuals who you believe would benefit from having you as a
strong source of inspiration. This could be a younger sibling, a child in your
neighborhood, or a younger colleague at your place of employment. Make a
commitment to spending at least 1-2 hours a month with that person and making a
positive investment in their lives.

Mining Exercise #12: Removing the Blocks of Resistance, Part II

In Mining Exercise #5, we identified and removed some of your beliefs and thoughts
that are holding you back from attracting your desired outcome. Sometimes, even after
we've taken steps to remove negative thought patterns from our lives, they can return or
new ones can spring up for us to work on. Listen to the “Removing the Blocks of
Resistance, Part II” mp3 to assist you with ensuring that you've thoroughly taken your
power out of any negative belief and thought patterns.

17
Chapter 5
Celebration!

Step V: Success is the first part in the last stage of the P.O.L.I.S.H.ing process. This step
and the following step, Harvest & Hone, will allow you to celebrate your wins before
moving on to the next task, and then to stretch yourself a little bit further in reaching the
next level of success.

Step V: Success

Step V: Success is about acknowledging the strides that you have made in attracting your
desired outcome. It's time to celebrate! At this point, you have either manifested your
desired outcome or are very close to seeing it come to fruition. No matter how big or
how small, every success that you've experienced on this path is to be recognized and
celebrated. In order to feel successful, you have to acknowledge and appreciate the
successes that you've already experienced.

Appreciation

What is true appreciation? Most of the time we think of it as saying "thank you, thank
you, thank you" over and over to a person. There's nothing wrong with saying thank you
to someone, but true appreciation is deeper than that.

Dictionary.com gives the definition of appreciation as "the act of estimating the qualities
of things and giving them their proper value". To appreciate something means to
acknowledge the inherent value in someone or something and to recognize the value that
the particular person or thing brings to your life. When you take a diamond to a jeweler
to be appreciated, you take it so that you can assess the value of it. Another helpful
analogy is that when a diamond appreciates, it increases in value. The truth of that
statement resonates with me on so many levels.

I believe that this is what the law of attraction teachers are trying to get across when they
talk about gratitude and appreciation. When you truly appreciate something or someone,
your focus on the value that the person or thing adds to your life becomes so strong, that
your perception on its value increases, hence causing you to attract more of it.

Everything and everyone is made up of energy, and energy loves to be appreciated. The
more you acknowledge the inherent value in something, the more attracted you are to it -
and it to you. Take the diamonds in your life, and appreciate them. Acknowledge the
value in them and watch how many new insights and ideas you gain by just seeing them
in a new light. If there is something that you desire, begin to appreciate it.

Appreciate your gifts. Appreciate life. Appreciate you.

18
Mining Exercise #12: What Are My Wins?

Take some time now to write down at least five successes that you experienced in
attracting your desired outcome. Also, write down five things that are going well in your
life. The more that you focus on these things, the more that you notice how good your
life really is. Be appreciative (acknowledge the inherent value) of your resources and
strengths.

Mining Exercise #13: Have a Celebration!

In this exercise, list three to five things that you will do for yourself in celebration of
achiving your desired outcome. Whether or not what you desire has come to pass, there
things in your life that ARE working or that you ARE successful at doing. Even if you
haven't manifested your desired outcome yet, it is on its way, and this will help you get
in an attitude of joyous expectation. Here are some ideas to start you off: get a pedicure
and manicure, get a massage, get together with friends, treat yourself to a movie, spend
an hour in solitude, read your favorite book, etc. The goal is not necessarily to spend a
whole lot of money, but to truly enjoy yourself.

19
Chapter 6
Reaping the Harvest, Ready for the Next Level

Step VI: Harvest & Hone

Take a moment, stand up, and jump up and down! You did it! Congratulations! It is at
this step that you are experiencing the bounty of your P.O.L.I.S.H.ing process. Your
essence of your desired outcome should be in full effect. “Harvest” is where you
appreciate and take stock of the milestones that you reached during your P.O.L.I.S.Hing
process. The point here is to acknowledge your present success; “Hone” is where you
plan to take your desire to another level in the future.

The most successful have become so successful because they are never content resting
on their laurels. They are constantly working to upgrade their skills and talents. There
is always another goal to reach, another dream to aspire to. The reason why the
P.O.L.I.S.Hed framework is so powerful is because once you get to your desired
outcome, the journey does not end there. Step VI: Harvest & Hone allows you to gather
your new inner and outer diamonds (resources), and use them to polish up another
desired outcome. You get to start the process over, only this time you are stronger,
wiser, more powerful, and more brilliant.

Mining Exercise #14: Counting the Milestones

You have come a long way, and you should be congratulated! Take this time to look
back on your experience. Take stock of the milestones that you have reached as a result
of this P.O.L.I.S.Hing process. A wise person once said, it's not about the destination,
but about the journey. Write down some of your key milestones below.

Mining Exercise #15: Upgrade You

Although you have achieved the essence of your desired outcome, this is not time to rest
on your laurels for long. List three to five ways that you can make the impact of your
achieved outcome even stronger or list three to five new “diamonds” that you can take
through the P.O.L.I.S.Hing process.
