Strengths of the lesson:


Excellent classroom management. Purposeful relationships with boys. They respond well to positive
reinforcement. Clear instructions, L.O, WALT and WILF. Good knowledge shown with regards to
WILF. Capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. Good differentiation through individual questions
when reading. Shared writing provided children a chance to spot any mistakes for example, no
capital letter or no finger spaces. This leads into self-assessment and self-correction. Personal
feedback was offered with clear next steps and praise.
Areas for development:

There was an opportunity to make a cross curricular link to science
