 Ensure the maintenance department goals are achieved by following the procedures set out
in the TMS.
 Communicating and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained
between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and
prioritizing of equipment repairs.
 Ensure all area supervisors’ accurately complete daily breakdown reports, supervisors shift
report, PCR of submission the planning and administration before 7am everyday and ensure
breakdown hours information is provided accurately.
 Analyse component condition and recommendation of parts is required. Ensure the correct
procedures are used when troubleshooting breakdowns and failures.
 Review operators’ checklist summaries and mechanical inspection sheets; ensure
submission to planning department with repair and parts recommendation. Ensure
supervisors and mechanics raise recommended parts lists accurately to address all known
work, breakdowns, and planned maintenance.
 Plan and coordinate shut down work in cooperation with planning department. Ensure all
repairs are carried out in a cost effective and timely manner.
 Investigate and report all accident damages to all equipments in field and associated area;
this includes operator abuse.
 Ensure a safe work environment to all employees by ensuring all activities are carried out
according to the work procedures in TMS and Sangatta Project Management plan.
 Ensure no impact on the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and
repair equipment by ensuring the procedures of the TMS and Sangatta Management plan
are followed.
 Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
 Ensure all disciplinary actions are issued as required in accordance with Sangatta mine
regulations and maintenance department’s rules.
