FROM THE DIRECTOR

JACK CROSS, U OF A THRIVE MBSF DIRECTOR
This year has been a fast one. We have been trying to build a

movement with college students loving others and taking

ROTCERID EHT MORF

responsibility in leadership. With that we have had a goal to

see eight freshmen leaders by the end of the spring semester. In

order to see this happen we set a goal of meeting two hundred

freshmen knowing that most of those connections had to be

made earlier rather than later.

I’m proud of how are students are responding to leadership. We

have more students working on various teams and leading our

Community Groups than ever before. They are also beginning to

better understand how important it is to incorporate others into

the ministry (help them to buy in).

A couple of markers of success are having freshmen lead two others to Christ this semester and twelve freshmen

in our leadership group on Sunday evenings. The two people who were led to Christ, Mary and Scott, have been

loved by several of our students, and they have heard the gospel several times. In the end it was a relationship

with a friend that won them over. It’s so exciting not only for the two who are eternally changed but also for the

freshmen to see that building relationships and communicating the good news of Jesus changes their friends’

lives.
