Product distribution: the basics

For a correct distribution of a product we must take into account the appropriate means
of transport, if they are products that require refrigeration or special care, think about the
need of the client and the state in which the product must reach the final consumer who
is the which actually measures the process of the distribution chain and its efficiency.

Choose the reliable mode of transport so as not to disappoint the customers, and make
deliveries at the established times and times.

ake into account what type of product is going to be transported and inform the
transporting company since sometimes special permits and insurance for such transport
are needed.

Contract or use vehicles with monitoring or tracking system, as this allows to know
exactly where the cargo is and avoid deviations that are sometimes of high value and
be attentive to any situation that may happen with it.

When contracting a mode of transport, bear in mind the costs, it must be important to
make the decision in which way it is the best and that it complies with the conditions so
as not to have delays in the delivery.

Transport by road is economical and flexible, but you have to take into account that you
can suffer delays for different reasons (accidents, congestion, weather) and it is
frustrating when you are transporting against delivery, you must be aware of the
restrictions that exist for The road transport as they are the weight, the atura, the width
and in some parts the schedule.
The transport by train is fast and there is not always congestion, but it is expensive, the
best way to transport by train is to contract with a railway company because to get
economical you have to send cargo with more than 300 tons and a great distance.

The fastest way to transport cargo is by air, but it is very expensive since it is only
transported by cargo airlines, and some costs must be paid such as management
expenses, customs duties, VAT tax if you are importing, there are transients They
organize shipments and take care of all the paperwork and so there is no concern of
extra costs.

By sea it is cheaper to transport cargo if large quantities are shipped, but it is slower, it
is not as flexible as there are few ports and agreements have to be made for land
transport once the products are unloaded.
