Group E - Ex Works

Seller makes goods available at own premises

Risk transfers once seller places the goods at the disposal of the buyer at the
named or usual place of delivery, on a certain date.
Example: Loaded trailer in seller's yard. Seller is not responsible to insure past
 yard.

Group F - Main Carriage (freight) Unpaid

Seller is responsible to deliver goods to carrier.

FCA - Free Carrier (named place)

Risk transfers when seller hands over the goods into the charge of the carrier
named by the buyer at the named place or point.
Seller is not responsible for marine cargo insurance.
Seller would want to insure for own account the inland transit from plant to carriers
custody - e.g.: Loaded on truck provided by buyer at sellers premises, delivery to
container stuffing terminal or buyers Freight Forwarders. (Not used for Transport
by sea and inland waters.)

FAS - Free Alongside Ship (named port of shipment)

Risk transfers upon delivery of goods alongside vessel at port and date stipulated
by buyer.
Seller should insure for own account the Inland Transit from plant to alongside
vessel.

FOB - Free On Board (named port of shipment)

Risk transfers when goods pass ships rail.

Seller should insure for own account the inland transit from plant to vessel.

NOTE: FAS/FOB only used for transport by Sea and inland waters.

Group C - Main Carriage (Freight) Paid

These are:
Shipment contracts, where seller has to contract for carriage but doesn't assume
Risk of Loss after shipment.

CFR - Cost and Freight (named port of destination)

Risk transfers when goods pass ships rail port of shipment.
Seller should insure the inland transit to ships rail for own account.

(Used only for sea and inland waterway transport).

CIF - Cost Insurance and Freight (to named port of destination)

Risk transfers when goods pass ships rail at port of shipment - But seller must
provide Marine Cargo and War SR&CC insurances as stipulated in contract.
Not less than CIP + 10%
Not Less than London institute cargo clauses.

(Used only for sea and inland waterway transport).

CPT - Carriages Paid To (named place of destination)

Risk transfers when goods are delivered into custody of first carrier.
Seller should insure for own account Inland Transit to first carriers custody.

(Can be used for any mode of transportation).

CIP - Carriage and Insurance Paid to (named place of destination)

Risk transfers when goods are delivered into the custody of first carrier.
Seller (as in the case of CIF) must provide Marine Cargo and War SR&CC
insurance as stipulated in the contract.

(Can be used for any mode of transportation).

Group D - Arrival contracts - the goods are at risk of seller until delivered as per terms

DAF - Delivery At Frontier (named place), frontier could even mean place in country of
export

Risk transfers when goods are placed at disposal of buyer at named place of
delivery at frontier on date stipulated.
Seller should insure ocean and/or inland transits for own account.

(Used primarily for carriage by rail or road but can be used for any mode transport).

DES - Delivered Ex-Ship (named port of destination)

Risk transfers when goods are at disposal of buyer on board the vessel at named
port of destination.
Seller should insure ocean transits for own account.

(Can only be used for sea or inland waterway transport).

DEQ - Delivered Ex Quay (Wharf) Duty Paid (named port of destination)

 Risk transfers when goods are at disposal of the buyer on Quay or Wharf at
named port of destination on agreed date.
Seller should insure ocean transits for own account.

(Can only be used for sea and inland waterway transport).

DDU - Delivered Duty Unpaid (named place of destination)

Risk transfers when goods are made available to buyer at named place in country
of import.
Seller should insure ocean transits for own account.

(Can be used for any mode of transport).

DDP - Delivered Duty Paid (named place of destination)

Risk transfers same as DDU

Seller should insure ocean transits for own account.

(Can be used for any mode of transport).

For Seller We Note: EXW represents the minimum obligation and DDP represents the
maximum obligation.

Pored naprijed navedenog, odgovarajuće obveze ugovornih strana svrstane su pod 10
