Procedure
● Teacher will present “Oh Say Can You Seed” by Bonnie Worth (Explains
the process of plant growth and how to take care of a plant)
● Materials for the project will be passed out.
● One student will manage watering the plant in the sunlight, every day at
the same time.
● One student will manage watering the plant without the sunlight, every
day at the same time.
● For a whole month, the students will measure growth of stem after it
appears.
● Each student will then record their measurement on chart, that whole
month.
● After a month passes both students (the student with the flower in the
sunlight and without) will put the information that they collected
together.
● A teacher will demonstrate how each group will put their information in
excel, and how to create the graph.
● At the end, the teacher will pass out a question/answer review sheet to
see the student’s comprehension.
Assessment
● I checked for understanding during the activity by observing their charts,
and seeing if there are any signs of improvement to their plants.
● Each group will be evaluated on their answers written to their questions
given on their paper.
