Introducción
Muchas gracias por haber optado por uno de nuestros productos SilverCrest.
El amplificador WiFi SWV 300 C1 de SilverCrest, en adelante «amplificador WiFi», sirve para
aumentar el alcance de una red WLAN existente. La función WPS integrada permite conectarse
cómodamente a una red WLAN con seguridad habilitada.
Le rogamos que lea detenidamente este manual antes de usar por primera vez el amplificador WiFi, ya
que contiene información importante sobre su instalación, uso, almacenamiento y eliminación.

Uso conforme a lo previsto
El amplificador WiFi es un aparato de ocio electrónico destinado a ampliar el alcance de una red
WLAN existente y que también puede utilizarse como punto de acceso, por ejemplo para convertir en
un «enrutador WLAN» un enrutador que no disponga de una WLAN propia. Además, también puede
conectarse como cliente a los dispositivos que tengan una conexión LAN (como ordenadores, portátiles
o televisores) y que no dispongan de una conexión a una WLAN propia. Solo debe emplearse para
fines privados y no industriales, ni tampoco comerciales. Además, el amplificador WiFi tampoco se
puede utilizar fuera de recintos cerrados ni en regiones con clima tropical. Este aparato cumple con
todas las normas y directivas que se indican en la declaración de conformidad. Si se realiza algún
cambio en el amplificador WiFi sin haberlo acordado con el fabricante, el cumplimiento de estas
normas dejará de estar garantizado. El fabricante no se hará responsable de los daños y averías
derivados de este tipo de acciones. Respete siempre la legislación y la normativa nacional del lugar de
uso.

Entorno de funcionamiento
El amplificador WiFi no se ha diseñado para el uso en lugares con una temperatura o una humedad
ambiente elevadas (p.ej. cuartos de baño) ni en espacios polvorientos. Temperatura y humedad
ambiente de funcionamiento: de 5 °C a 35 °C, humedad relativa máx. 85 %.
Mantenga el amplificador WiFi siempre a una distancia mínima de 20 cm de su cuerpo para evitar que
le afecten las emisiones de radio.
¡PELIGRO! Preste atención a que:

 El aparato no se someta a una fuente de calor directa (p.ej. calefacción).
 El aparato no se someta a la luz directa del sol o a una luz artificial muy intensa.
 El aparato no se coloque en las proximidades inmediatas de un campo electromagnético (p.ej. unos
altavoces).
 No se coloquen llamas abiertas (p.ej. velas encendidas) encima o junto al aparato.
 No entren cuerpos extraños en el aparato.
 El aparato no entre en contacto con gotas o salpicaduras de agua ni otros líquidos agresivos y no se
utilice cerca de lugares donde haya agua; en especial, queda prohibido sumergirlo (no coloque

 El aparato no se someta a variaciones bruscas de temperatura, puesto que la humedad del aire
podría condensarse y provocar un cortocircuito. No obstante, si el aparato se ha visto sometido a
variaciones bruscas de temperatura, espere unas 2 horas antes de volver a ponerlo en marcha, para
que tenga tiempo de adaptarse a la temperatura ambiente.
 El aparato no se exponga a sacudidas y vibraciones excesivas.
 El aparato no se toque nunca con las manos mojadas, puesto que podría producirse una descarga
eléctrica.
 Las aberturas de la carcasa no se cubran ni se tapen bajo ningún concepto, puesto que sirven para
ventilar el amplificador WiFi y podría producirse un incendio.
Si no se respetan las indicaciones anteriores, existe peligro tanto para la salud como para el propio
aparato.
¡PELIGRO! Seguridad de funcionamiento
 Conecte el amplificador WiFi únicamente a una toma de corriente situada en un lugar fácilmente
accesible para poderlo separar rápidamente de la red eléctrica en caso de peligro (humo, olor a
quemado). La toma de corriente debe estar en un lugar al que pueda accederse fácilmente incluso
mientras se esté utilizando el aparato.

 El interruptor principal (10) del aparato no lo separa completamente de la red eléctrica. Aunque no
se utilizara, el aparato continuaría consumiendo una cantidad mínima de electricidad. Si no tiene
previsto utilizar el amplificador WiFi durante un periodo prolongado (p.ej. si se va de vacaciones),
desenchúfelo de la red eléctrica. Además, de esta manera también se reducirá al mínimo el riesgo de
incendio o fuego sin llama que existe siempre que se conecta un aparato eléctrico a la red eléctrica.
Para separar el amplificador WiFi completamente de la red, es necesario desenchufar la clavija de
red de la toma de corriente.
 El amplificador WiFi también debe desenchufarse de la red eléctrica en caso de mal tiempo o
tormenta con rayos, puesto que la caída de un rayo podría provocar una subida inadmisible de
tensión y destruirlo.
 No utilice clavijas adaptadoras ni cables alargadores que estén dañados o que no cumplan las
normas de seguridad en vigor.
¡PELIGRO! Niños y personas discapacitadas

Los aparatos eléctricos no son para los niños. Asimismo, las personas con discapacidades físicas,
intelectuales o sensoriales solo deben utilizarlos dentro de sus posibilidades. No permita que los niños
ni las personas discapacitadas utilicen aparatos eléctricos sin vigilancia, salvo que hayan recibido una
instrucción adecuada o estén bajo la vigilancia de una persona responsable de su seguridad. Debe

¡PELIGRO! Interfaz inalámbrica

No utilice este aparato en aviones, hospitales, quirófanos ni cerca de equipos médicos electrónicos. Las
ondas de radio que transmite podrían afectar al funcionamiento de aparatos sensibles. Mantenga el
aparato, como mínimo, a 20 cm de separación de marcapasos e implantes desfibriladores, ya que las
ondas de radio podrían afectar a su correcto funcionamiento. Las ondas de radio que transmite pueden
provocar interferencias acústicas en los equipos de audición. No ponga el aparato con el componente
inalámbrico activado cerca de gases inflamables o en entornos con riesgo de explosión (p.ej. un taller
de pintura), puesto que las ondas de radio que transmite podrían provocar una explosión o un
incendio. El alcance de las ondas de radio depende de las condiciones ambientales y del entorno. En el
modo de tráfico inalámbrico de datos, existe riesgo de recepción de datos por parte de terceras

visualización derivados de la modificación del aparato sin autorización. Asimismo, Targa tampoco

hayan sido especificados por Targa GmbH. La reparación de averías provocadas por una modificación
no autorizada, así como el reemplazo o sustitución de los aparatos afectados, son responsabilidad
exclusiva del usuario.
¡ADVERTENCIA! Cable
Coja todos los cables siempre por la clavija y no tire del propio cable. No coloque muebles ni otros
objetos pesados sobre los cables y preste atención a que no se doblen, especialmente en la zona de la
clavija y los zócalos de conexión. No haga nunca un nudo con el cable ni tampoco lo ate a otros
cables. Coloque todos los cables de forma que nadie pueda pisarlos y que no representen un
obstáculo.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Mantenimiento y limpieza

Una reparación engloba los trabajos necesarios cuando el aparato ha sufrido deterioro (p.ej. si la
carcasa está dañada, ha penetrado líquido u objetos al interior del aparato o si se ha expuesto a la
lluvia u otro tipo de humedad). Asimismo, el aparato también debe repararse si no funciona
correctamente o si ha sufrido un fallo. Si sale humo del aparato o hace ruidos u olores inusuales,
apague el aparato inmediatamente y desenchúfelo de la toma de corriente. En estos casos, el aparato
no se podrá volver a utilizar hasta que haya sido revisado por un técnico. Encargue los trabajos de
reparación solo a personal técnico cualificado. No abra nunca la carcasa del aparato. Limpie el
aparato únicamente con un paño limpio y seco y no utilice nunca líquidos agresivos. No intente abrir la
carcasa del aparato. Si lo hace, se perderán los derechos de garantía.

Almacenamiento cuando no se utilice
Si no va a utilizar el amplificador WiFi durante mucho tiempo, desenchúfelo de la red eléctrica.

Compruebe también que la temperatura de almacenamiento se mantenga entre -20 °C y 60 °C. La
humedad ambiente no debe sobrepasar el 90% de humedad relativa.
Nota: los rangos de temperatura y humedad relativa para el almacenamiento y el funcionamiento son
muy diferentes, por lo que es obligatorio consultar las indicaciones del apartado «Entorno de
funcionamiento».

Antes de poner en marcha el aparato
Extraiga el amplificador WiFi y los accesorios de la caja y elimine todo el material de embalaje.
Compruebe que el amplificador WiFi no esté dañado. Si encuentra algún desperfecto en el
amplificador WiFi, no lo ponga en marcha.
El amplificador WiFi se encarga de amplificar su red WLAN doméstica. El amplificador WiFi puede
funcionar en los tres modos que se indican a continuación:
Repetidor (Repeater)
Este modo permite aumentar el alcance de su red inalámbrica (WLAN). De esta manera, los
dispositivos WLAN que se encuentran fuera del alcance de la red inalámbrica pueden conectarse a ella
a través del amplificador WiFi.
Cliente
Este modo permite conectar dispositivos con conexión LAN (como ordenadores, portátiles o televisores)
que no dispongan de una WLAN propia al amplificador WiFi utilizando el cable LAN (cable de red).
De esta manera, el dispositivo puede conectarse a la conexión inalámbrica de un enrutador WLAN a
través del amplificador WiFi.
Debido a que no es posible garantizar la compatibilidad con todos los aparatos, le rogamos que
consulte la documentación del aparato.

Punto de acceso (Access Point)
Este modo puede utilizarse, por ejemplo, para convertir en un «enrutador WLAN» un enrutador que no
disponga de una WLAN propia. Para ello, el enrutador debe conectarse al amplificador WiFi mediante
el cable LAN (cable de red, véase el volumen de suministro).

Puesta en marcha
Selección del modo

Para seleccionar el modo de funcionamiento, ponga el selector de modo (8) en la posición que quiera
utilizar («Access Point», «Repeater» o «Client»).

Modo de repetidor
El modo de repetidor permite aumentar el alcance de la red inalámbrica. De esta manera, los
dispositivos WLAN que se encuentran fuera del alcance de la red inalámbrica pueden conectarse a ella
a través del amplificador WiFi.
Alcance sin amplificador WiFi Alcance con amplificador WiFi
Para seleccionar el modo de repetidor, ponga el selector de modo (8) en la posición «Repeater».
La primera vez que se ponga en marcha, el amplificador WiFi debe

colocarse al lado del enrutador WLAN (entre 2 y 3 metros de distancia).

El amplificador WiFi debe conectarse a una toma de corriente a la cual pueda accederse fácilmente en
todo momento.
A continuación, ponga el interruptor principal (10) en la posición «ON» para encender el amplificador
WiFi. Cuando se enciende, el amplificador WiFi necesita algo de tiempo (tiempo de arranque) para
inicializarse. Después de encender el amplificador WiFi, espere aproximadamente 30 segundos antes
de utilizarlo.
El amplificador WiFi se puede configurar de dos maneras diferentes. Si el enrutador WLAN admite
WPS, esta cómoda función puede utilizarse para realizar un ajuste sencillo. Para utilizar un enrutador
WLAN sin función WPS, el amplificador WiFi se puede conectar al ordenador con un cable de red o
de forma inalámbrica para configurarlo desde ahí.

WPS - La configuración más sencilla
Esta es la manera más fácil de configurar el amplificador WiFi. Sin embargo, primero debe asegurarse
de que el enrutador WLAN admita esta función. Consulte la documentación del enrutador WLAN.
1. Mantenga pulsado el botón WPS (9) del amplificador WiFi durante 6 segundos como mínimo. El LED
Power/WPS (2) parpadeará durante aproximadamente 2 minutos.
2. Dentro de este plazo de 2 minutos, pulse el botón de conexión (WPS) del enrutador WLAN. Consulte
la documentación del enrutador WLAN.

El amplificador WiFi se conectará automáticamente al enrutador WLAN y cargará todos los ajustes.
Una vez que se ha establecido correctamente la conexión, el indicador de potencia de la señal (1)
indica la intensidad de la señal. Después de esto, el amplificador WiFi ya está listo para utilizarse con
la SSID (nombre de la WLAN) y la clave de red del enrutador WLAN.
Ahora, el amplificador WiFi permite amplificar la señal WLAN en el lugar deseado. La ubicación
óptima para el amplificador WiFi es a medio camino entre el enrutador WLAN y los aparatos WLAN
que deben conectarse a la red inalámbrica a través del amplificador WiFi. Si no fuera posible montar el
amplificador WiFi en ese punto, pruebe otras ubicaciones. El amplificador WiFi únicamente debe
conectarse a una toma de corriente a la cual pueda accederse fácilmente.

Asimismo, también se pueden configurar varios amplificadores WiFi uno tras otro.
Si el enrutador WLAN no admite WPS o si no fuera posible establecer la conexión por cualquier otro
motivo, el amplificador WiFi se deberá configurar manualmente.
Configuración manual
El amplificador WiFi se puede configurar de dos maneras diferentes.
Si en el ordenador no utiliza la configuración de red predeterminada y ha

configurado la dirección IP manualmente, la configuración de red se deberá
cambiar de nuevo a Obtener automáticamente una dirección IP. Consulte
la documentación del ordenador.
1. El amplificador WiFi se puede configurar utilizando un cable de red. Para configurar el
amplificador WiFi con un cable de red, conéctelo al ordenador con el cable de red suministrado.
Conecte un extremo del cable de red a la conexión WAN/LAN (6) o a la conexión LAN (7) del
amplificador WiFi y el otro a la conexión LAN del ordenador.
2. Como alternativa, también puede utilizarse la conexión WLAN para realizar la configuración de
manera inalámbrica. En el ordenador, active la búsqueda de redes inalámbricas disponibles. En la

lista de redes inalámbricas encontradas se mostrará la red SWV 300 C1. A continuación,
seleccione la red SWV 300 C1 y haga clic en el botón Conectar para conectarse de forma
inalámbrica al amplificador WiFi. En caso necesario, después de pulsar el botón Conectar, haga
clic en la opción Conectar sin configurar la red.
Acto seguido, abra el navegador de internet del ordenador. En la barra de dirección del navegador,
introduzca http://repeater.setup y luego pulse la tecla Entrar para confirmar.
Se abrirá la ventana de registro del amplificador WiFi. Seleccione el idioma (Language) e introduzca
admin como nombre de usuario y contraseña. A continuación, haga clic en el botón Enviar. Se
abrirá el menú de configuración del amplificador WiFi.
Utilice el asistente para realizar la configuración. En el campo Asistente, haga clic en el botón
Repetidor.

A continuación, en la columna «Seleccionar», marque el botón de opción correspondiente a la red
WLAN de la lista cuyo alcance quiere amplificar.

Después de seleccionar una red WLAN, en el campo SSID inalámbrica puede indicar una SSID de
su elección para el amplificador WiFi. En el campo Clave de seguridad, introduzca la clave de red
del enrutador WLAN. Marque la casilla Desenmascarar para mostrar los caracteres de la clave de
seguridad introducida. Cuando haya introducido todos los datos, haga clic en el botón Aplicar.

A continuación, el amplificador WiFi se reiniciará. Antes de realizar cualquier otra operación, espere
aproximadamente 30 segundos.
Cuando se haya reiniciado, el amplificador WiFi podrá utilizarse para conectarse a la red del
enrutador WLAN utilizando la SSID y la clave de red de este.
Para regresar al menú de configuración, haga clic en WIFI Repeater en la barra de título o
introduzca repeater.setup en la barra de dirección del navegador web. Tenga en cuenta que esta

operación requiere una conexión con el amplificador WiFi. Si fuera necesario, conecte el amplificador
WiFi al ordenador con un cable de red.

Tipo de seguridad
Esta opción permite seleccionar el cifrado de la red.
Haga clic en el botón Aplicar para guardar los cambios realizados. A continuación, el amplificador
WiFi se reiniciará. Antes de realizar cualquier otra operación, espere aproximadamente 30 segundos.
Se recomienda utilizar el cifrado WPA/WPA2 PSK, puesto que es el que ofrece un
mayor nivel de seguridad. Si sus dispositivos WLAN no admiten el cifrado
WPA/WPA2 PSK, deberá utilizar otro cifrado.

amplificador WiFi también dejará de funcionar.
PIN
Aquí se muestra el PIN WPS del amplificador WiFi. Este PIN WPS permite conectar el amplificador WiFi
al enrutador WLAN. Para ello, el enrutador WLAN debe admitir el método PIN WPS. Introduzca el PIN
WPS en el enrutador WLAN. Consulte la documentación del enrutador WLAN. El amplificador WiFi se
conectará automáticamente al enrutador WLAN y cargará todos los ajustes. Una vez que se ha
establecido correctamente la conexión, se ilumina el indicador de potencia de la señal (1). Después de
esto, el amplificador WiFi ya está listo para utilizarse.
Iniciar/detener PBC
Esta opción permite conectar el amplificador WiFi a un dispositivo con WPS. Haga clic en el botón
Iniciar PBC para iniciar la función WPS. El LED Power/WPS (2) del amplificador WiFi parpadeará
durante aproximadamente 2 minutos. Dentro de este plazo de 2 minutos, pulse el botón de conexión
(WPS) del dispositivo. Consulte la documentación del dispositivo. A continuación, el amplificador WiFi
se conectará automáticamente al dispositivo. Una vez que se ha establecido correctamente la conexión,
se ilumina el indicador de potencia de la señal (1). Después de esto, el amplificador WiFi ya está listo

La opción «Programación horaria» solo está disponible en los modos de punto de

Permite definir un horario para que la red inalámbrica WLAN se encienda y se apague
automáticamente. Haga clic en el botón Deshabilitado/Habilitar. Cuando el botón
Habilitado/Deshabilitar es de color verde, significa que la función de horario de la red
inalámbrica WLAN está activada. Cuando el botón Deshabilitado/Habilitar es de color gris,
significa que la función de horario de la red inalámbrica WLAN está desactivada.
Cuando la función de horario de la red inalámbrica WLAN está activada, pueden definirse un máximo
de 10 reglas. Para activar una regla, marque la casilla correspondiente en la columna Habilitar. A
continuación, seleccione el día de la semana en la línea correspondiente o la opción Cada día para
seleccionar todos los días. Acto seguido, introduzca las horas entre las cuales debe encenderse la red
inalámbrica WLAN.
Haga clic en el botón Aplicar para guardar los cambios realizados.
Para poder utilizar la programación horaria, el amplificador WiFi debe estar

conectado a internet. Si procede, verifique que no se produzcan solapamientos con
la función de temporización del enrutador; es decir, el enrutador debe desconectar
la WLAN siempre después del repetidor. Asimismo, compruebe que la fecha y la
hora estén ajustadas correctamente en el menú «Ajustes de la zona horaria».

Aquí se muestra directamente la dirección IP utilizada, el modo DHCP configurado y la dirección MAC
del amplificador WiFi. Para modificar la configuración de la red, haga clic en el icono «Red».
Dirección IP
Aquí se puede modificar la dirección IP del amplificador WiFi.
DHCP
Aquí se puede ajustar el modo DHCP. Están disponibles las opciones siguientes: Deshabilitar,
Servidor y Automático. Cuando se entrega el aparato, está activada la opción Automático. Con
la opción Automático, las direcciones IP se asignan automáticamente. En este caso, las asignaciones

tienen carácter permanente y no se borran. Esta opción tiene la ventaja de que los dispositivos reciben
siempre la misma dirección IP, y el inconveniente de que los nuevos dispositivos no pueden recibir
ninguna dirección IP nueva si ya está asignado todo el rango de direcciones, aunque en ese momento
no se esté utilizando activamente ninguna dirección IP. La diferencia con la opción Servidor es que
las direcciones IP se asignan automáticamente y se guardan en una tabla. Sin embargo, esta
asignación no tiene carácter permanente y, en caso necesario, es posible asignar una dirección IP
diferente a los dispositivos.
Haga clic en el botón Aplicar para guardar los cambios realizados o en el botón Cancelar para
descartarlos.

descartarlos.
Memorice el nombre de usuario y la contraseña o guárdelos en un lugar seguro.

Aquí se puede ajustar la fecha y la hora. Introduzca la fecha y la hora en los campos correspondientes.

Introduzca la Zona horaria correspondiente a su ubicación actual.
La casilla Habilitar actualización de cliente NTP se activa para comparar la hora con un
servidor NTP (Network Time Protocol). En este caso, la fecha y la hora se sincronizan con un servidor a
través de internet. Para activar el cambio automático entre los horarios de verano e invierno, marque la
casilla Cambiar horario de verano/invierno automáticamente.
A continuación, seleccione un servidor NTP en el campo Servidor NTP o introduzca la dirección de
un servidor NTP en el campo Ajuste NTP manual.
Haga clic en el botón Aplicar para guardar los cambios realizados. Para actualizar el contenido de la

instalado en el amplificador WiFi. Haga clic en el icono «Estado» para acceder a la información
detallada del sistema y las redes WLAN y LAN.

Los aparatos que van acompañados de este símbolo cumplen con la directiva
europea 2012/19/EU. Todos los aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos usados deben
eliminarse aparte de la basura doméstica en los centros municipales previstos para
ello. Al eliminar correctamente los aparatos usados, estará contribuyendo a reducir
los daños en el medio ambiente y el peligro para su propia salud. Para obtener más
información acerca de cómo eliminar correctamente un aparato usado, consulte a su

 La separación respecto al enrutador WLAN es excesiva; redúzcala.
 La función WLAN del enrutador WLAN está desactivada; actívela.

 Compruebe que el cable de red esté conectado correctamente en la conexión WAN/LAN (6) o en
la conexión LAN (7) del amplificador WiFi y en la conexión LAN del dispositivo.
No se ha podido establecer la conexión con el botón WPS
 Intente establecer de nuevo la conexión con el botón WPS.
 Restablezca el amplificador WiFi al estado de entrega. Mantenga pulsado el botón de reinicio (5)
durante 10 segundos aproximadamente con un objeto puntiagudo hasta que se apague el LED
Power/WPS (2). A continuación, el amplificador WiFi se reiniciará. El amplificador WiFi necesita
algo de tiempo (tiempo de arranque) para inicializarse. Espere aproximadamente 30 segundos antes
de utilizar el amplificador WiFi. A continuación, intente establecer de nuevo la conexión con el botón
WPS.
 Solucione el problema que está provocando interferencias entre el amplificador WiFi y el enrutador

Grazie per avere acquistato un prodotto SilverCrest.

L'amplificatore WLAN SilverCrest SWV 300 C1, di seguito denominato amplificatore WLAN, aumenta
la portata di una rete WLAN già esistente. La funzione WPS integrata consente di connettersi facilmente
ad una rete WLAN protetta.
Prima di utilizzare per la prima volta l'amplificatore WLAN, leggere attentamente queste istruzioni d'uso,
poiché contengono informazioni importanti sull'installazione e l'utilizzo, nonché sulla conservazione e lo
smaltimento dell'apparecchio.

Utilizzo conforme alla destinazione d'uso
L'amplificatore WLAN appartiene al settore della tecnologia dell'informazione. Aumenta la portata di

una rete WLAN già esistente. L'amplificatore WLAN può essere inoltre utilizzato come Access Point, ad
esempio per trasformare un router che non dispone di una propria WLAN in un "Router WLAN". È
anche possibile connettere l'amplificatore WLAN come client a dispositivi con interfaccia LAN (ad es.
computer, notebook o televisore) che non dispongono di una propria WLAN. È destinato all'uso privato
e non può essere utilizzato per scopi commerciali o industriali. Inoltre l'amplificatore WLAN non deve
essere utilizzato all'aperto e in zone geografiche con clima tropicale. Il presente apparecchio rispetta
tutte le norme e le direttive previste dalla dichiarazione di conformità. In caso di eventuali modifiche
apportate all'amplificatore WLAN, non è garantita l'osservanza di tali norme, se le modifiche stesse non
sono state concordate con il produttore. Il produttore declina ogni responsabilità per i danni o i guasti
risultanti da tali modifiche. Vi preghiamo di rispettare le direttive locali ovvero le leggi in vigore nel
paese in cui viene utilizzato l'apparecchio.

Condizioni operative
Non utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN in ambienti in cui sono presenti temperature elevate o con alta
umidità dell’aria (ad es. in bagno) oppure eccessivamente polverosi. Temperatura e umidità operative:
da 5 °C a 35 °C, max. 85 % di umidità relativa.
Posizionare sempre l'amplificatore WLAN a una distanza minima di 20 cm dal corpo, per evitare i
danni dovuti alle radiazioni elettromagnetiche.
PERICOLO! Attenzione:
 non sottoporre l'apparecchio all'azione diretta di fonti di calore (ad es. caloriferi);
 non esporre l'apparecchio alla luce solare diretta o a una forte luce artificiale;
 non collocare l'apparecchio nelle immediate vicinanze di campi magnetici (ad es. altoparlanti);
 non collocare fuochi vivi (ad es. candele accese) sull'apparecchio o nelle immediate vicinanze;
 non lasciar penetrare corpi esterni;

La mancata osservanza delle istruzioni sopra menzionate comporta pericoli per la salute personale e
potenziali danni a carico dell'apparecchio.
PERICOLO! Sicurezza di funzionamento
 Collegare l'amplificatore WLAN esclusivamente a una presa liberamente accessibile, in modo che sia
possibile scollegarlo rapidamente dalla rete elettrica in caso di pericolo (fumo, odore di bruciato). La
presa deve rimanere facilmente accessibile anche durante l'utilizzo dell'apparecchio.
 L’interruttore principale (10) dell’apparecchio non lo scollega completamente dalla rete elettrica.
Anche quando quest'ultimo non viene utilizzato, consuma un minimo di corrente. In caso di mancato

utilizzo per un tempo prolungato, ad esempio per una vacanza, scollegare l'amplificatore WLAN
dalla rete elettrica. In questo modo si minimizza anche il rischio di incendi o di combustione senza
fiamma che è sempre presente quando un apparecchio è collegato alla rete elettrica. Per scollegare
completamente l'amplificatore WLAN dalla rete elettrica estrarre la spina.
 Scollegare l'amplificatore WLAN anche in caso di intemperie o di un temporale, con presenza di
fulmini, in quanto, se colpito da un fulmine, l'amplificatore potrebbe venir distrutto in seguito a
sovratensione.
 Non utilizzare adattatori o prolunghe che siano danneggiati o che non siano conformi alle norme di
sicurezza in vigore.
PERICOLO! Bambini e persone diversamente abili

Gli apparecchi elettrici devono essere tenuti fuori dalla portata dei bambini. Anche le persone
diversamente abili dovrebbero utilizzare gli apparecchi elettrici solo nell'ambito delle loro possibilità.
Non lasciare mai bambini e persone diversamente abili incustoditi a contatto con apparecchi elettrici, se
non dietro supervisione o istruzione iniziale sull’utilizzo degli apparecchi stessi da parte di chi è
responsabile della loro sicurezza. Sorvegliare i bambini, assicurandosi che non giochino con

Non utilizzare l'apparecchio in aereo, in ospedale, in sala operatoria o nelle vicinanze di un sistema
elettronico medico. Le onde radio trasmesse possono compromettere il funzionamento di dispositivi
sensibili. Tenere l'apparecchio a una distanza minima di 20 cm da un pacemaker o da un defibrillatore
impiantabile, in quanto le onde radio potrebbero comprometterne il regolare funzionamento del
pacemaker e del defibrillatore. Le onde radio trasmesse possono provocare rumori fastidiosi negli
apparecchi acustici. A componente radio inserita non avvicinare l'apparecchio a gas infiammabili o ad
ambienti a rischio di esplosione (ad es. officine di verniciatura), poiché le onde radio trasmesse possono
generare esplosioni oppure incendi. Il raggio d'azione delle onde radio dipende dalle condizioni
ambientali circostanti. Con il traffico di dati tramite un collegamento senza fili, anche terzi non

AVVERTENZA! Cavo
Afferrare il cavo sempre attraverso il connettore e non tirare il cavo stesso. Non posizionare mobili o
altri oggetti pesanti sui cavi e assicurarsi che questi non vengano piegati, in particolare modo in
prossimità del connettore e delle prese di collegamento. Non fare mai nodi in un cavo e non legarlo ad
altri cavi. Tutti i cavi devono essere posizionati in modo tale da non essere calpestati o da non
ostacolare nessuno.

AVVERTENZA! Manutenzione/Pulizia
Se l'apparecchio ha subito un danno, ad es. il corpo esterno è stato danneggiato, se al suo interno sono
penetrati liquidi od oggetti, se è stato esposto alla pioggia o all'umidità, è necessario eseguire la
riparazione. È necessaria la riparazione anche se l'apparecchio non funziona perfettamente o se è
caduto. Se dovesse svilupparsi del fumo oppure se si avvertono rumori od odori insoliti, è necessario
spegnere subito l'apparecchio ed estrarre la spina. In questi casi utilizzare nuovamente l’apparecchio
solo dopo un controllo effettuato da un tecnico specializzato. Tutti i lavori di riparazione devono essere
eseguiti da personale specializzato. Non aprire mai il corpo esterno dell'apparecchio. Pulire
l’apparecchio solo con un panno asciutto e pulito e mai con liquidi aggressivi. Non cercare di aprire il
corpo esterno dell’apparecchio. In questi casi non verrà riconosciuto il diritto di garanzia.

Conservazione in caso di inutilizzo
Se non si desidera utilizzare l'apparecchio per un periodo di tempo prolungato, scollegare

l'amplificatore WLAN dalla rete elettrica. Inoltre l'apparecchio deve essere conservato a temperature
comprese tra -20 °C e 60 °C. L'umidità relativa dell'aria non deve superare il 90%.
Attenzione: gli intervalli di temperatura e umidità relativa per la conservazione e l'utilizzo si
differenziano nettamente; consultare pertanto le indicazioni riportate nel paragrafo "Condizioni
operative".

Prima della messa in funzione
Estrarre l'amplificatore WLAN e gli accessori dalla confezione e rimuovere completamente il materiale
di imballaggio.
Accertarsi che l'amplificatore WLAN non sia danneggiato. In caso di danni, l'amplificatore WLAN non
deve essere utilizzato.
L'amplificatore WLAN amplia la WLAN della rete domestica. L'amplificatore WLAN supporta le tre
seguenti modalità:
Ripetitore (Repeater)
La portata della propria rete senza fili (WLAN) viene aumentata. In questo modo i dispositivi WLAN che
si trovano al di fuori della portata della rete senza fili, vengono collegati a questa rete mediante
l'amplificatore WLAN.
Client
È possibile connettere un dispositivo con interfaccia LAN (ad es. computer, notebook o televisore) che
non dispone di una propria WLAN all'amplificatore WLAN tramite il cavo LAN (cavo di rete).
L'amplificatore WLAN può quindi connettere senza fili il proprio dispositivo ad un router WLAN già
esistente.
Non è possibile garantire la compatibilità con tutti i dispositivi, pertanto consultare la documentazione
dell'apparecchio.

Access Point (AP)
Questa modalità può essere utilizzata, ad esempio, per trasformare un router che non dispone di una
propria WLAN in un "Router WLAN". A tal fine il router deve essere collegato tramite il cavo LAN (cavo
di rete, vedere dotazione) all'amplificatore WLAN.
AVVERTENZA! Utilizzare esclusivamente il cavo di rete in dotazione!
Messa in funzione
Impostare modalità
Selezionare la modalità desiderata con il selettore di modalità (8). Spostare a tal fine il selettore di
modalità (8) sulla posizione desiderata (Access Point, Repeater o Client).

Modalità Ripetitore (Repeater)

La modalità Ripetitore serve all'ampliamento della portata della propria rete senza fili. I dispositivi
WLAN che si trovano al di fuori della portata della rete senza fili, possono essere collegati a questa rete
mediante l'amplificatore WLAN.

Per la modalità Ripetitore, il selettore di modalità (8) deve essere posizionato su "Repeater".
Al momento della prima messa in funzione, l'amplificatore WLAN deve

essere collocato nelle vicinanze (a circa 2 – 3 metri) del router WLAN.

Collegare l'amplificatore WLAN alla rete elettrica solo tramite una presa ben raggiungibile.
Accendere quindi l'amplificatore WLAN, posizionando l'interruttore principale (10) su "ON". Dopo
l'accensione, l'amplificatore WLAN necessita di un determinato periodo di tempo (tempo di avvio) prima
di essere pronto all'uso. Attendere ca. 30 secondi dopo l'accensione prima di utilizzare l'amplificatore
WLAN.
Vi sono due diverse possibilità di configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN. Se il router WLAN supporta
WPS, è possibile utilizzare questa comoda funzione per una facile configurazione. Se si intende
utilizzare un router WLAN senza funzione WPS, è necessario collegare l'amplificatore WLAN tramite
cavo di rete o WLAN al proprio computer ed eseguire la configurazione.

WPS - La configurazione più semplice
Questo è il modo più semplice per configurare l'amplificatore WLAN. Accertarsi innanzitutto che la
funzione WPS sia supportata dal proprio router WLAN. Consultare a tale scopo la documentazione del
router WLAN.
1. Premere il tasto WPS (9) nell'amplificatore WLAN per almeno 6 secondi. Il LED Power/WPS (2)
lampeggerà per circa 2 minuti.
2. Durante questi 2 minuti, premere il tasto di collegamento (WPS) sul router WLAN. Consultare a tale
scopo la documentazione del router WLAN.

L'amplificatore WLAN si connette automaticamente al router WLAN e applica tutte le impostazioni. Non
appena la connessione è stata stabilita, l'indicatore di intensità di campo (1) segnala la potenza del
segnale. Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN. L'amplificatore WLAN è accessibile sotto
l'SSID (nome WLAN) e sotto la chiave di rete del router WLAN.
Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore laddove il segnale WLAN deve essere potenziato. La
collocazione ottimale dell'amplificatore WLAN è esattamente a metà tra il router WLAN e i dispositivi
WLAN da collegare alla rete mediante tale amplificatore. Testare altre collocazioni se l'amplificatore
WLAN non può essere utilizzato in quel punto. Utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN solo se collegato a una
presa facilmente accessibile.

È possibile configurare più amplificatori WLAN. In questo caso occorre eseguire una
configurazione dopo l'altra.
Se il router WLAN non supporta la funzione WPS oppure se la connessione non viene stabilita per altri
motivi, è necessario configurare manualmente l'amplificatore WLAN.
Configurazione manuale
Vi sono due diverse possibilità di configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN.
Se sul proprio computer non si utilizzano le impostazioni di rete standard ed è stato
impostato manualmente un indirizzo IP, occorre cambiare nuovamente le
impostazioni di rete su Ottieni automaticamente un indirizzo IP. Consultare
a tale scopo la documentazione del proprio computer.
1. È possibile configurare l'amplificatore WLAN tramite il cavo di rete. Se si intende configurare
l'amplificatore WLAN tramite il cavo di rete, si deve collegare l'amplificatore al proprio computer.
Utilizzare a tal fine il cavo di rete in dotazione. Inserire un'estremità del cavo di rete nella presa
WAN/LAN (6) o nella presa LAN (7) dell'amplificatore WLAN e l'altra estremità nella presa LAN
del computer.

2. In alternativa è possibile eseguire la configurazione senza fili mediante la WLAN. A tale scopo
avviare sul proprio computer la ricerca delle reti wireless disponibili. Nell'elenco delle reti wireless
disponibili viene visualizzata la rete SWV 300 C1. Selezionare quindi la rete SWV 300 C1 e
fare clic sul pulsante Connetti, per connettersi in modalità wireless all'amplificatore WLAN. Dopo
aver premuto il pulsante Connetti, potrebbe essere necessario fare clic anche sull'opzione
Connetti senza configurare la rete.
Aprire quindi il browser Internet sul computer. Nella barra degli indirizzi del browser Internet digitare
http://repeater.setup e confermare l'inserimento con il tasto Invio.
Si aprirà la finestra di login dell'amplificatore WLAN. Selezionare la lingua desiderata (Language) e
inserire admin come nome utente e password. Dopodiché fare clic sul pulsante Invia. Si apre il menu
di configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN.
Eseguire la configurazione con l'ausilio della procedura guidata. A tal fine fare clic nel campo
Procedura guidata sul pulsante Ripetitore.

Selezionare dall'elenco una rete WLAN di cui si intende ampliare la portata, marcando la rete
corrispondente nel campo "Seleziona".

Dopo aver selezionato una rete WLAN, alla voce SSID wireless è possibile indicare un SSID a scelta
per l'amplificatore WLAN. Nel campo Chiave di sicurezza inserire la chiave di rete del router
WLAN. Mettere una spunta su Disabilita mascheramento per visualizzare la chiave di sicurezza
inserita. Dopo aver completato l'inserimento, premere il pulsante Applica.

L'amplificatore WLAN si riavvia. Attendere ca. 30 secondi prima di eseguire altre operazioni.
Al termine del riavvio, l'amplificatore WLAN è disponibile con l'SSID indicato dall'utente e con la chiave
di rete del proprio router WLAN.
Se si desidera tornare al menu di configurazione, fare clic su WIFI Repeater nella barra del titolo
oppure digitare repeater.setup nella barra degli indirizzi del browser Internet. Tenere presente che è

necessario stabilire una connessione con l'amplificatore WLAN. A tale scopo collegare l'amplificatore
WLAN al computer con il cavo di rete in dotazione.
Non appena la connessione è stata stabilita, l'indicatore di intensità di campo (1) segnala la potenza
del segnale. Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN. L'amplificatore WLAN è accessibile con
l'SSID (nome WLAN) stabilito in precedenza dall'utente e con la chiave di rete del proprio router
WLAN.
Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore laddove il segnale WLAN deve essere potenziato. La
collocazione ottimale dell'amplificatore WLAN è esattamente a metà tra il router WLAN e i dispositivi
WLAN da collegare alla rete mediante tale amplificatore. Testare altre collocazioni se l'amplificatore
WLAN non può essere utilizzato in quel punto. Utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN solo se collegato a una
presa facilmente accessibile.
Se si desidera aprire il menu di configurazione, assicurarsi che sia presente una connessione valida con
l'amplificatore WLAN. A tale scopo collegare l'amplificatore WLAN al computer con il cavo di rete in
dotazione.

interfaccia LAN (ad es. computer, notebook o televisore) che non dispongono di una propria WLAN.

utilizzare un router WLAN senza funzione WPS, è necessario collegare l'amplificatore WLAN tramite
cavo di rete al proprio computer ed eseguire la configurazione.

2. Durante questi 2 minuti, premere il tasto di collegamento (WPS) sul router WLAN. Consultare a tale
scopo la documentazione del router WLAN.

L'amplificatore WLAN si connette automaticamente al router WLAN e applica tutte le impostazioni. Non
appena la connessione è stata stabilita, l'indicatore di intensità di campo (1) segnala la potenza del
segnale. Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN dove si intende connettere il dispositivo in
modo wireless al router WLAN.
Collegare l'amplificatore WLAN al proprio dispositivo. Utilizzare a tal fine il cavo di rete in dotazione.
Inserire un'estremità del cavo di rete nella presa WAN/LAN (6) o nella presa LAN (7) dell'amplificatore
WLAN e l'altra estremità nella presa LAN del dispositivo. Utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN solo se
collegato a una presa facilmente accessibile.
Se il router WLAN non supporta la funzione WPS oppure se la connessione non viene stabilita per altri
motivi, è necessario configurare manualmente l'amplificatore WLAN.

 Ottieni automaticamente un indirizzo IP – Con questa opzione l'indirizzo IP viene
assegnato automaticamente dal fornitore di servizi Internet. Non è necessario inserire altre
informazioni.
 ADSL Dial-up – Con questa opzione occorre indicare il nome utente e la password per il proprio
fornitore di servizi internet. Potete richiedere il nome utente e la password al vostro fornitore di
servizi Internet.

Nel campo SSID inserire un SSID a piacere per l'amplificatore WLAN. In Canale è possibile definire
un numero di canale oppure con l'opzione Automatico attivare l'assegnazione automatica di un
numero di canale. Alla voce Tipo di sicurezza selezionare una crittografia per proteggere la propria
rete da accessi indesiderati. È anche possibile configurare la rete in modo non sicuro, selezionando
l'opzione Disabilita. Si raccomanda tuttavia di configurare una crittografia.

visualizzato l'amplificatore WLAN (Access Point) sotto l'SSID indicato dall'utente (nome WLAN).
Selezionare l'SSID corrispondente (nome WLAN) per connettere in modalità wireless il dispositivo
all'amplificatore WLAN (Access Point). Inserire la chiave di rete assegnata dall'utente. Consultare la
documentazione del dispositivo.

Ripetitore l'SSID del router viene indicato in questo punto.

Definire un numero di canale o selezionare l'opzione Automatico, per attivare l'assegnazione
automatica di un numero di canale.
Tipo di sicurezza
Impostare in questo punto una crittografia per la rete.
Fare clic sul pulsante Applica per applicare le impostazioni modificate. L'amplificatore WLAN si
riavvia. Attendere ca. 30 secondi prima di eseguire altre operazioni.
Si consiglia di utilizzare la crittografia WPA/WPA2 PSK, perché offre la massima
sicurezza. Se i dispositivi WLAN utilizzati non supportano la crittografia
WPA/WPA2 PSK, sarà necessario impiegare un altro tipo di crittografia.

WPS
Abilita WPS
Al momento dell'acquisto la funzione WPS è abilitata. Qui è possibile disattivare o attivare questa
funzione. Fare clic sul pulsante Abilitato/Disabilita, per disattivare la funzione WPS. Se il pulsante
Abilitato/Disabilita è rappresentato in verde, la funzione WPS è abilitata. Se il pulsante
Disabilitato/Abilita è rappresentato in grigio, la funzione WPS è disabilitata. Fare clic sul pulsante

Disabilitato/Abilita, per attivare la funzione WPS. Considerare che, con la funzione WPS
disabilitata, non è possibile stabilire nessuna connessione a un dispositivo WLAN mediante tale
funzione. Inoltre anche il tasto WPS (9) dell'amplificatore WLAN non ha alcuna funzione.
PIN
In questo punto viene visualizzato il PIN WPS dell'amplificatore WLAN. Con questo PIN è possibile
connettere l'amplificatore WLAN al proprio router WLAN. Quest'ultimo deve tuttavia supportare il
metodo PIN WPS. Immettere il PIN WPS nel router WLAN. Consultare a tale scopo la documentazione
del router WLAN. L'amplificatore WLAN si connette automaticamente al router WLAN e applica tutte le
impostazioni. Non appena la connessione è stata stabilita, l'indicatore di intensità di campo (1) si
accende. Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN.
Avvia PBC / Interrompi PBC
In questo punto è possibile connettere l'amplificatore WLAN a un dispositivo abilitato al WPS. Fare clic
sul pulsante Avvia PBC, per avviare la funzione WPS. Il LED Power/WPS (2) dell'amplificatore WLAN
lampeggerà per circa 2 minuti. Durante questi 2 minuti, premere il tasto di collegamento (WPS) sul
dispositivo. Consultare a tale scopo la documentazione del dispositivo. L'amplificatore WLAN si
connette ora automaticamente al dispositivo. Non appena la connessione è stata stabilita, l'indicatore di
intensità di campo (1) si accende. Ora è possibile utilizzare l'amplificatore WLAN. La funzione WPS
può essere terminata facendo clic sul pulsante Interrompi PBC.

In questo punto viene visualizzato lo stato WPS attuale dell'amplificatore WLAN. Sono possibili le

non è riuscita a causa del timeout.

Essa permette di configurare una commutazione temporale per la rete wireless, in modo che si abiliti e
disabiliti automaticamente. Fare clic a tal fine sul pulsante Disabilitato/Abilita. Se il pulsante
Abilitato/Disabilita è rappresentato in verde, la commutazione temporale della rete wireless è
abilitata. Se il pulsante Disabilitato/Abilita è rappresentato in grigio, la commutazione temporale
della rete wireless è disabilitata.
Quando la commutazione temporale della rete wireless è abilitata, è possibile fissare fino a 10 regole.
Per attivare una regola, fare clic sulla casella corrispondente nella colonna Abilita. Selezionare
successivamente nella riga corrispondente il giorno della settimana desiderato oppure Tutti i giorni
per una frequenza giornaliera. Indicare quindi l'intervallo temporale nel quale la rete wireless deve
essere abilitata.
Fare clic sul pulsante Applica per applicare le impostazioni modificate.
Per l'opzione Pianificazione l'amplificatore WLAN necessita di una connessione

Internet. Prestare attenzione anche alla possibile sovrapposizione con una
commutazione temporale del proprio router. Questo significa che esso può
disattivare la WLAN solo dopo il ripetitore. Verificare inoltre, nel menu "Impostazioni
fuso orario" dell'amplificatore WLAN, se l'ora e la data sono impostate
correttamente.

Rete
In questo punto vengono direttamente visualizzati l'indirizzo IP utilizzato, la modalità DHCP impostata e
l'indirizzo MAC dell'amplificatore WLAN. Fare clic sul simbolo "Rete" per adattare le impostazioni di
rete.
Indirizzo IP
Qui è possibile modificare l'indirizzo IP dell'amplificatore WLAN.
DHCP
Qui è possibile impostare la modalità DHCP. Sono disponibili le seguenti opzioni: Disabilita, Server
e Automatico. Al momento dell'acquisto è abilitata l'opzione Automatico. Con l'opzione

Automatico gli indirizzi IP vengono assegnati automaticamente. In questo caso le attribuzioni sono
permanenti e non possono essere eliminate. Il vantaggio è che un dispositivo riceve sempre lo stesso
indirizzo IP. Lo svantaggio è che i nuovi dispositivi non ricevono nessun indirizzo IP se l'area indirizzi è
stata completamente assegnata, anche se vi sono indirizzi IP che non vengono più utilizzati attivamente.
A differenza dell'opzione Server, in cui gli indirizzi IP sono assegnati automaticamente e definiti in una
tabella. L'attribuzione in questo caso non è permanente e i dispositivi possono ricevere un altro indirizzo
IP.
Per applicare le impostazioni modificate, fare clic sul pulsante Applica oppure su Annulla, per
rifiutarle.

Qui è possibile eseguire ulteriori impostazioni o installare una nuova versione del firmware. Fare clic sul

Memorizzare bene il nome utente e la password oppure custodirli in un luogo sicuro!

Qui è possibile impostare la data e l'ora. Inserire la data e l'ora nei campi corrispondenti.

In Abilita aggiornamento client NTP è presente una spunta, per adattare l'ora tramite un server
NTP (Network Time Protocol). L'ora e la data in questo caso vengono sincronizzate a un server
attraverso Internet. Per attivare il cambio automatico tra ora legale/invernale, mettere una spunta su
Imposta automaticamente l'ora legale.
Impostare quindi uno dei server NTP predefiniti nel campo Server NTP oppure indicare l'indirizzo di
un server NTP nel campo Impostazione NTP manuale.
Per applicare le impostazioni modificate, fare clic sul pulsante Applica. Facendo clic sul pulsante
Aggiorna, è possibile aggiornare la visualizzazione.

Controllo LED
Con questa funzione è possibile disattivare e attivare i LED dell'amplificatore WLAN. Ciò non ha alcuna
influenza sul LED Power/WPS (2), che non può essere disattivato.
Fare clic sul pulsante OFF per disattivare i LED. Per riattivare i LED, occorre fare clic sul pulsante ON.
Tenere presente che dopo la disattivazione o attivazione dei LED l'amplificatore WLAN effettua un
riavvio.

Salva/Ricarica impostazioni
In questo punto è possibile salvare, caricare e resettare la configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN.
Fare clic sul pulsante Salva..., per salvare la configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN in un file sul
proprio computer.
Per selezionare una configurazione salvata, fare clic sul pulsante Sfoglia... e dopodiché selezionare il
file di configurazione desiderato sul proprio computer. Quindi fare clic su Carica, per caricare il file di
configurazione precedentemente selezionato.

Fare clic sul pulsante Carica impostazioni predefinite, per ripristinare le impostazioni di fabbrica
dell'amplificatore WLAN. Confermare la seguente richiesta di conferma con OK, per caricare

Considerare che con il ripristino delle impostazioni di fabbrica, tutte le modifiche delle
impostazioni eseguite precedentemente andranno perse.

Esegui upgrade del firmware
Se è stata ricevuta una nuova versione del firmware, è possibile installarla. Fare clic su Sfoglia... e
selezionare la nuova versione del firmware sul proprio computer. Seguire le indicazioni sullo schermo

Considerare che con l'upgrade del firmware l'amplificatore WLAN resetta le
impostazioni di fabbrica e tutte le modifiche delle impostazioni eseguite
precedentemente andranno perse.

Qui è possibile riavviare l'amplificatore WLAN.
Fare clic a tale scopo sul pulsante Riavvia. Confermare la seguente richiesta di conferma con OK, per
riavviare definitivamente l'amplificatore WLAN oppure interrompere l'operazione con Annulla.
Stato
Qui vengono direttamente visualizzati la versione del firmware utilizzata, la durata di funzionamento
dopo l'ultima accensione e la data di creazione (tempo di compilazione) della versione firmware
installata dell'amplificatore WLAN. Fare clic sul simbolo "Stato" per visualizzare ulteriori informazioni.
Verranno visualizzate informazioni dettagliate sul sistema, WLAN e LAN.

Avvertenze per l'ambiente e indicazioni di smaltimento
Gli apparecchi contrassegnati da questo simbolo sono soggetti alla direttiva europea
2012/19/EU. Tutti gli apparecchi elettrici ed elettronici non più utilizzati devono
essere smaltiti, separatamente dai rifiuti domestici, presso appositi punti di raccolta
previsti dalla propria amministrazione comunale. Lo smaltimento corretto
dell’apparecchio non più utilizzato evita danni all’ambiente e tutela la salute
personale. L’amministrazione comunale, l’ufficio responsabile dello smaltimento rifiuti
oppure il negozio nel quale è stato acquistato il prodotto forniscono ulteriori
informazioni sulle direttive riguardanti lo smaltimento dell’apparecchio non più
utilizzato.
Smaltire anche l'imballaggio nel rispetto dell'ambiente. Gli imballaggi possono essere smaltiti nella
raccolta della carta o consegnati nei punti di raccolta pubblici per il riciclaggio. Pellicole e plastiche in
dotazione vengono raccolte tramite l'impresa di smaltimento locale e smaltite nel rispetto dell'ambiente.

riparazione!
Il LED Power/WPS (2) non si accende.
 Verificare che l'interruttore principale (10) sia posizionato su "ON".
 La presa è difettosa o il fusibile è saltato; verificare la presa con un altro apparecchio.
Nessuna connessione wireless al router WLAN
 Si è troppo distanti dal router WLAN, avvicinarsi.

 La funzione WLAN del router WLAN è disabilitata, abilitarla.
Nessuna connessione LAN

 Verificare che il cavo di rete sia correttamente inserito nella presa WAN/LAN (6) o nella presa LAN
(7) dell'amplificatore WLAN e nella presa LAN del dispositivo.
Connessione con il tasto WPS non riuscita
 Provare una seconda volta a stabilire una connessione con il tasto WPS.
 Riportare l'amplificatore WLAN allo stato originale al momento dell'acquisto. Premere il tasto Reset
(5) per ca. 10 secondi con un oggetto appuntito, fino a quando il LED Power/WPS (2) si spegne.
L'amplificatore WLAN si riavvia. L'amplificatore WLAN necessita di un determinato periodo di tempo
(tempo di avvio) prima di essere pronto all'uso. Attendere ca. 30 secondi prima di utilizzare
l'amplificatore WLAN. Successivamente riprovare a stabilire una connessione con il tasto WPS.
 Eliminare sorgenti di interferenza tra l'amplificatore WLAN e il router WLAN.
 L'amplificatore WLAN e il router WLAN sono troppo distanti, avvicinarli.
Il menu di configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN non viene visualizzato.
 L'indirizzo http://repeater.setup non è stato inserito correttamente nella barra degli indirizzi del
browser Internet; verificare e correggere l'inserimento.
 La configurazione dell'amplificatore WLAN è errata. Riportare l'amplificatore WLAN allo stato
originale al momento dell'acquisto. A tal fine premere il tasto Reset (5) per ca. 10 secondi con un

The SilverCrest Wifi Range Extender SWV 300 C1, hereinafter referred to as wifi range extender,
increases the range of an existing wireless network The built-in WPS function enables it to be easily
connected to a secure wireless network.
Read these operating instructions carefully before first using the device as they contain important
information on installation, usage, storage and disposal of the wifi range extender.

Intended use
This wifi range extender is an information technology device. It increases the range of an existing
wireless network. The wifi range extender can also be used as an access point (AP), for example, to use
a router without its own wireless network as a "wireless router". In addition, the wifi range extender can
be connected as a client to end devices with a LAN interface (for example, computer, notebook or TV
set), which do not have their own wireless network. It is only designed for private use and not for
industrial or commercial purposes. Furthermore, the wifi range extender may not be used outdoors or in
tropical climates. This device complies with all standards and directives specified in the Declaration of
Conformity. In the event of any modification to the wifi range extender that was not approved by the
manufacturer, compliance with these standards is no longer guaranteed. The manufacturer does not
accept any liability for any resulting damage or faults in such cases. Please observe the regulations and
laws in the country of use.

Before using the device for the first time, please read the following instructions carefully even if you are
familiar with using electronic devices. Store these operating instructions in a safe place for future
reference. If you pass on the wifi range extender to someone else, be sure to always include these
instructions as they are an integral part of the device.

Operating environment
The wifi range extender is not designed for use in environments with a high temperature or humidity (e.g.
bathrooms), and must be kept free from dust. Operating temperatures and operating air humidity: 5°C
to 35°C, max. 85% rel. humidity.
Please always maintain the wifi range extender at a minimum distance of 20 cm from the body to avoid
exposure to radio radiation.
DANGER! Ensure that

 no direct heat sources (e.g. heating) can affect the device
 no direct sunlight or bright artificial light reaches the device
 the device is not in the immediate vicinity of magnetic fields (e.g. speakers)
 no fire sources (e.g. burning candles) are placed on or near the device

If the aforementioned instructions are not adhered to, it poses a risk to your health or the device could
be damaged.
DANGER! Operational safety
 Only connect the wifi range extender to a freely accessible socket so that it can be quickly
disconnected from the mains in the event of danger (smoke, fumes or smell of burning). The socket
must always be easily accessible during operation also.
 The main switch (10) of this device does not fully disconnect the device from the mains. Even if the
device is not being used, it consumes minimal power. Disconnect the wifi range extender from the
mains if the device will not be used for a prolonged period (e.g. during holidays). This minimises the

risk of fire or smouldering, which always exists when an electrical device is connected to the mains
power supply. To disconnect the wifi range extender completely from the power supply, you must
remove its mains plug from the socket.
 Always disconnect the wifi range extender from the mains power supply before a storm or
thunderstorm if there is the risk of lightning as the wifi range extender can be irreparably damaged by
high voltage surges if lightning strikes.
 Never use any adapter plugs or extension cables which are damaged or which do not comply with
valid safety standards.
DANGER! Children and persons with disabilities
Electrical devices do not belong in the hands of children. Persons with physical, mental or sensory
disabilities should also only use electrical devices within the scope of their abilities. Never allow children
or persons with disabilities to use electrical devices unsupervised, unless they have been instructed
accordingly or are supervised by a person responsible for their safety. Children should always be

supervised to ensure that they do not play with this device. Small parts can be fatal if swallowed. Always
keep plastic packaging out of reach.
DANGER! It poses a suffocation risk.
DANGER! Radio interface

Do not use the device on aircraft, in hospitals, operating rooms or in the vicinity of medical electronic
systems. The transmitted radio waves can impair the functionality of sensitive devices. Keep the device at
least 20 cm away from any pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators because the proper
functioning of the pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator can be impaired by radio waves.
The transmitted radio waves can cause interference in hearing aids. Do not place the device in the
vicinity of flammable gases or in a potentially explosive environment (e.g. paint shop) when the radio
components are switched on because the transmitted radio waves can cause an explosion or a fire. The
range of the radio waves is dependent on conditions in the surrounding environment. In the event of
data traffic via a wireless connection, it is also possible for unauthorised third parties to receive data.

WARNING! Cables
Always handle the cables by the plug and do not pull on the cables themselves. Never place furniture or
other heavy objects on the cable and take care that the cable is not kinked, especially near the plug and
connection sockets. Never make knots in any of the cables or tie them together with other cables. Ensure
that all cables are placed so that no one can trip over them and they do not cause an obstruction.

WARNING! Maintenance / cleaning

It is necessary to repair the device if it has been damaged in any way, for example, if the housing is
damaged, if liquid or objects have penetrated the device or if the product has been exposed to rain or
moisture. Repair work is also required if the device is not working properly or has been dropped. If
smoke is produced, or there are any unusual sounds or smells, the device must be switched off
immediately and its mains plug must be removed from the socket. In such cases, the device should not be
used until it has been inspected by authorised service personnel. Only have the device repaired by
qualified personnel. Never open the housing of the device. Only use a clean, dry cloth for cleaning and
never use any corrosive liquids. Never try to open the housing of the device This would void your
warranty.

Storage when not in use
If the device will not be used for a long period of time, disconnect the wifi range extender from the mains
power supply. Ensure that the storage temperature remains between -20°C and 60°C. The air humidity
should not exceed 90% rel. humidity.
Note: the temperature range and relative air humidity for storage and use are quite different; please see
the information in the "Operating environment" section.

Prior to use
Take the wifi range extender and the accessories out of the packaging and remove all packaging
material completely.
Check the wifi range extender for signs of damage. If it is damaged, the wifi range extender must not be
used.
The wifi range extender increases the range of your wireless network. The wifi range extender supports
the following three modes:
Repeater
The range of your wireless network (WLAN) is extended. Thus wireless devices, which are outside the
range of your wireless network, can be connected to the network via the wifi range extender.
Client
You can connect an end device with a LAN interface (for example, computer, notebook or TV set),
which has no own wireless network, to the wifi range extender via the LAN cable (network cable). The
wifi range extender can now connect your end device wirelessly to an existing wireless router.
As we cannot guarantee compatibility with all devices, please read the operating instructions for your
device.

Access Point (AP)
This mode can be used, for example, to provide a router without its own wireless network as a "wireless
router". The router must be connected to the wifi range extender via the LAN cable (network cable, see
"Supplied items").
WARNING! Only use the network cable supplied with the device.
First use
Setting mode
Select the desired mode using the mode selector (8). To do so, move the mode selector (8) to the
desired position (Access Point, Repeater or Client).

Repeater Mode
Repeater Mode is used to extend the range of your wireless network. Wireless devices which are
outside the range of your wireless network can be connected to the network via the wifi range extender.
Range without wifi range extender Range with wifi range extender
The mode selector (8) must be set to the "Repeater" position for Repeater Mode.
The wifi range extender should be placed near (approx. 2-3 metres) the
wireless router the first time it is used.

Insert the wifi range extender into a socket that is always easily accessible.
Then switch on the wifi range extender by turning the main switch (10) to the "ON" position. The wifi
range extender requires a certain amount of time (boot time) after it is switched on before it is ready to
use. After switching the device on, wait for approximately 30 seconds before using the wifi range
extender.
There are two different ways to configure the wifi range extender. If your wireless router supports WPS,
you can use this simple function to easily set up the wifi range extender. If you would like to use a
wireless router without WPS, you must connect the wifi range extender via a network cable or wireless
network to your computer and configure it.

WPS - The easiest type of configuration
This is the easiest way to configure the wifi range extender. First, check whether your wireless router
supports WPS. For further details, please read the operating instructions for your wireless router.
1. Press the WPS button (9) on the wifi range extender for at least 6 seconds. The Power/WPS LED (2)
now flashes for approx. 2 minutes.
2. Within these 2 minutes, please press the connection button (WPS) on your wireless router. For further
details, please read the operating instructions for your wireless router.

The wifi range extender then automatically connects to your wireless router and applies all of the
settings. Once the connection has been successfully established, the field strength indicator (1) displays
the signal strength. The wifi range extender can then be used. The wifi range extender can be accessed
via the SSID (wireless name) and the network key of your wireless router.
You can then use the wifi range extender where the wireless signal is to be extended. The optimal
location for the wifi range extender is exactly in the middle between your wireless router and the
wireless devices which are to be connected to the network using the wifi range extender. Test other
locations if the wifi range extender does not work there. Insert the wifi range extender only into a socket
that is easily accessible.

It is possible to configure multiple wifi range extenders. These should be configured

one after the other.
If your wireless router does not support WPS or the connection fails for some other reason, you must
manually configure the wifi range extender.
Manual configuration
There are two different ways to configure the wifi range extender.
If you are not using the network default settings on your computer and have
manually set an IP address, you must restore the network settings to Automatically
obtain an IP address. For further details, please read the operating instructions
for your computer.
1. You can then configure the wifi range extender via the network cable. If you want to configure the
wifi range extender via the network cable, you must connect the wifi range extender to your
computer. Use the network cable included with the device for this purpose. Insert one end of the
network cable into the WAN/LAN socket (6) or the LAN socket (7) of the wifi range extender and
the other end into the LAN socket of your computer.

2. Alternatively, you can perform the configuration via a wireless network. To do so, start the search
for available wireless networks on your computer. The network SWV 300 C1 is displayed in the
list of available wireless networks. Select the network SWV 300 C1 and click on the Connect
button to connect wirelessly to the wifi range extender. After having pressed the Connect button,
you may have to click the option Connect without configuring the network.
Open the Internet browser on your computer. Enter http://repeater.setup in the address line of the
Internet browser and confirm the entry with the Enter button.
The login window of the wifi range extender opens. Select the desired language and enter admin as
the user name and password. Then click on the Submit button. The configuration menu of the wifi
range extender will then open.
Perform the configuration using the wizard. To do so, click on the Repeater button in the Wizard
field.

From the list, select a wireless network whose range you want to extend by choosing the corresponding
network in the "Select" field.

After having selected a wireless network, you can then specify any SSID for the wifi range extender for
Wireless SSID. Enter the network key of your wireless router for Security key. Set the check mark
for Unmask to display the registered security key. After completing the entry, click on the Apply
button.

entries.

Once the connection has been successfully established, the field strength indicator (1) displays the signal
strength. The wifi range extender can then be used. The wifi range extender can now be accessed via
the previously specified SSID (wireless name) and the network key of your wireless router.
You can then use the wifi range extender where the wireless signal is to be extended. The optimal
location for the wifi range extender is exactly in the middle between your wireless router and the
wireless devices which are to be connected to the network using the wifi range extender. Test other
locations if the wifi range extender does not work there. Insert the wifi range extender only into a socket
that is easily accessible.
If you would like to open the configuration menu, you must ensure that there is a valid connection to the
wifi range extender. To do so, connect the wifi range extender if necessary to your computer via a
network cable.

If you have selected Router Mode, you then have to select the type of Internet access. The following
options can be selected:
 Internet service providers offer a fixed IP address – the IP address must be fixed with
this option. Contact your Internet service provider for the IP address.
 Automatically obtain an IP address – the IP address is assigned automatically by the
Internet service provider with this option. No further entries are required here.
 ADSL dial-up – you must specify the user name and password for your Internet service provider
with this option. Contact your Internet service provider for the user name and password.

Enter any SSID for the wifi range extender for SSID. With Channel, you can set a channel number or
use the Auto option to enable the automatic assignment of a channel number. Select an encryption for
Security type to protect your network against unauthorised access. You can also set up the network
as unsecured by selecting the Disable option. However, we would recommend that you set up an
encryption.

For a manual connection to the wifi range extender (AP), you must find available wireless networks on
your end device. The wifi range extender (AP) is displayed under the specified SSID (wireless name) in
the list of available wireless networks. Then select the corresponding SSID (wireless name) to connect
your end device wirelessly with the wifi range extender (AP). Then enter the network key you assigned.

You can open the configuration menu of the wifi range extender on your computer with an Internet
browser. In this configuration menu, you can make advanced settings of the wifi range extender, display
information or install a new firmware version.
If you are not using the network default settings on your computer and have manually

If you use the wifi range extender in Client Mode (mode selector is at "Client"), the
configuration is possible only via the network cable.
After you have established the connection as previously described, open the Internet browser on your
computer. Enter http://repeater.setup in the address line of the Internet browser and confirm the

Information about the wireless network of the wifi range extender is displayed here. Note that,
depending on the selected mode (Repeater, Client or AP) of the wifi range extender, it is possible that
not all options are displayed.

The operating mode that is currently set for the wifi range extender is displayed here.
Status
The current status of the wifi range extender is displayed here.
SSID
The SSID of the wifi range extender is displayed here.

WiFi (Wireless)
You can make additional settings for the wireless network here. To do so, click on the icon or directly on
the desired option.
Basic Settings
Wireless Enable
You can enable or disable the wireless network here. To do so, click on the Enabled/Disable button.
The wireless network is enabled if the Enabled/Disable button is green. The wireless network is
disabled if the Disabled/Enable button is grey. Please note that wireless access to the wifi range

extender is no longer possible if it is disabled. Connect the wifi range extender via a network cable to
your computer in order to regain access to the wifi range extender.
SSID
You can adjust the SSID (wireless name) of the wifi range extender here. The SSID of the router is
specified here in Repeater Mode.
Channel
Set a channel number or choose the Auto option to enable the automatic assignment of a channel
number.
Security type
Set an encryption for the network here.
Click on the Apply button to confirm changed settings. This will reboot the wifi range extender. Wait
approximately 30 seconds before making any further entries.
We recommend that you use WPA/WPA2 PSK encryption because it provides
maximum security. If your wireless devices do not support WPA/WPA2 PSK
encryption, you have to use other encryption.

This option should only be used by experienced users. Network settings can be made here. As the
settings have to be customised to your network, they will not be discussed further here. You can obtain
more information via our service hotline (see page 232).
Click on the Apply button to confirm changed settings.
WPS
WPS Enable
WPS is enabled in the original condition of the device. You can enable or disable WPS here. Click on
the Enabled/Disable button to disable WPS. WPS is enabled if the Enabled/Disable button is
green. WPS is disabled if the Disabled/Enable button is grey. Click on the Disabled/Enable
button to enable WPS. Please note that when WPS is disabled, there can be no connection to the
wireless device via WPS. The WPS button (9) on the wifi range extender does not work also.

PIN
The WPS PIN of the wifi range extender is displayed here. You can use this WPS PIN to connect the wifi
range extender to your wireless router. To do so, your wireless router must support the WPS PIN
method. Enter the WPS PIN on your wireless router. For further details, please read the operating
instructions for your wireless router. The wifi range extender then automatically connects to your wireless
router and applies all of the settings. Once the connection has been successfully established, the field
strength indicator (1) lights up. The wifi range extender can then be used.
Start PBC / Stop PBC
Here, you can connect the wifi range extender to a WPS-enabled end device. Click on the Start PBC
button to start WPS. The Power/WPS LED (2) of the wifi range extender now flashes for approximately
2 minutes. Within these 2 minutes, please press the connection button (WPS) on your end device. For
further details, please read the operating instructions for your end device. The wifi range extender then
automatically connects to your end device. Once the connection has been successfully established, the
field strength indicator (1) lights up. The wifi range extender can then be used. You can stop WPS by
clicking on the Stop PBC button.
Status
The current WPS status of the wifi range extender is displayed here. The following indicators are
possible: Idle – The WPS scan was not started yet, Started – The WPS scan was started,
Connecting – The WPS connection is established, Successfully – The WPS connection has been

successfully established, Failed – The WPS connection failed, Overlap – Several devices try to
establish a WPS connection at the same time and Timeout! – The WPS connection could not be
established due to the timeout.

Schedule
The Schedule option is available only in AP and Repeater Mode.

Here, you can set a timer for the wireless network to switch it on and off automatically. To do so, click on
the Disabled/Enable button. If the Enabled/Disable button is green, the timer for the wireless
network is enabled. If the Disabled/Enable button is grey, the timer for the wireless network is
disabled.
Once the timer for the wireless network is enabled, you can set up to 10 rules. To enable a rule, click on
the relevant box in the Enable column. In the relevant row, select the desired day or Everyday for
every day. Then specify the period of time when the wireless network is to be switched on.
Click on the Apply button to confirm changed settings.
The wifi range extender requires an Internet connection for the Schedule option. Also
note a possible overlap with a timer on your router, that is, that this can only switch
off the wireless network after the repeater. In the "Time zone settings" menu of the wifi
range extender, check whether the time and date are set correctly.

Network
The IP address used, the set DHCP Mode and the MAC address of the wifi range extender are
displayed directly here. Click on the "Network" icon to adjust the network settings.
IP address
You can change the IP address of the wifi range extender here.
DHCP
You can set the DHCP Mode here. The following options can be selected: Disable, Server and
Auto. The Auto option is enabled in the original condition of the device. With the Auto option, IP
addresses are assigned automatically. The assignments are permanent here and are not removed. The

advantage here is that an end device always has the same IP address. The disadvantage is that new
end devices do not receive an IP address if the address range is completely assigned, even if IP
addresses are no longer actively used. This is in contrast to the Server option where IP addresses are
assigned automatically and recorded in a table. The assignment is not permanent here, however, and
end devices may be assigned another IP address.
Click on the Apply button to confirm changed settings or on Cancel to discard the changed settings.

Here, you can make additional settings or install a new firmware version. Click on the "Management"
icon or directly on the desired option:

Password
Here, you can change the preset password (admin) for the login to the wifi range extender. To do so,
enter a user name and then enter the new password twice.
To confirm the changed password, click on the Apply button or on Cancel to cancel it.
Take particular note of the user name and password or keep it in a safe place!

Time zone settings
You can set the date and time here. To do so, enter the date and time in the relevant fields.

For Time zone, enter the relevant time zone in which you are located.
A check mark is set for Enable NTP client update to synchronize the time via an NTP server
(Network Time Protocol). The time and date are synchronized here with a server via the Internet. Enable
the automatic conversion of summer/winter time by setting a check mark for Automatically adjust
daylight saving.
Now select a specified NTP server in the NTP server field or specify the address of an NTP server in
the Manual NTP setting field.
To confirm the changed settings, click on the Apply button. You can refresh the view by clicking on the
Refresh button.

The LEDs of the wifi range extender can be switched on or off here. However, this has no effect on the
Power/WPS LED (2) as it cannot be switched off.
Click on the OFF button to switch off the LEDs. To switch on the LEDs again, you must click on the ON
button.
Please note that the wifi range extender reboots after switching the LEDS on or off.

Save/Reload settings
You can save, load and reset the configuration of the wifi range extender here.
Click on the Save... button to save the configuration of the wifi range extender to a file on your
computer.
To select a backed-up configuration, click on the Browse... button and then select the desired
configuration file on your computer. Now click on the Upload button to load the previously selected
configuration file.

Click on the Load default button to reset the wifi range extender to the factory default settings.
Confirm the following confirmation prompt with OK to finally load the factory default settings or click
Cancel to cancel the process.
Note that all previously changed settings are lost when resetting to the factory default

If you have received a new firmware version, you can install it. To do so, click on the Browse... button
and then select the new firmware version on your computer. Then follow the on-screen instructions to
install the firmware version.
Note that when upgrading the firmware, the wifi range extender is reset to factory

The wifi range extender can be rebooted here.
To do so, click on the Reboot button. Confirm the following confirmation prompt with OK to finally
reboot the wifi range extender or click Cancel to cancel the process.
Status
The firmware version used, the operating time since it was last switched on, and the creation date (build
time) of the installed firmware version of the wifi range extender are displayed here. Click on the "Status"
icon to display additional information. Detailed information on the system, WLAN and LAN is then
displayed.

Troubleshooting
You can solve most problems yourself using the following table. If the problem still persists after you
have worked through these approaches, contact our service hotline (see page 232). Do not perform
any repairs personally!
The Power/WPS LED (2) does not light up.
 Check whether the main switch (10) is in the "ON" position.
 Socket defective or fuse tripped; use another device to check the socket.
No wireless connection to the wireless router
 The distance to the wireless router is too great, thus reduce it.
 The router's wireless function is disabled; enable the wireless function.

No LAN connection
 Check whether the network cable is inserted correctly into the WAN/LAN socket (6) or LAN socket
(7) of the wifi range extender and into the LAN socket of your end device.
Connection with the WPS button fails
 Establish the connection with the WPS button again.
 Reset the wifi range extender to the factory default settings. Press the Reset button (5) for
approximately 10 seconds with a sharp object until the Power/WPS LED (2) goes out. This will reboot
the wifi range extender. The wifi range extender requires a certain amount of time (boot time) before it
is ready to use. Wait for approximately 30 seconds before using the wifi range extender. Then
establish the connection with the WPS button again.
 Eliminate sources of interference between the wifi range extender and the wireless router.
 The distance between the wifi range extender and the wireless router is too great, thus reduce it.
The configuration menu of the wifi range extender is not shown.
 The address http://repeater.setup was entered into the address line of the Internet browser
incorrectly; check and correct the entry.
 The configuration of the wifi range extender is incorrect. Reset the wifi range extender to the factory
default settings. To do so, press the Reset button (5) for approximately 10 seconds with a sharp object
until the Power/WPS LED (2) goes out. This will reboot the wifi range extender. The wifi range

Der SilverCrest SWV 300 C1 WLAN-Verstärker, nachfolgend als WLAN-Verstärker bezeichnet, erhöht
die Reichweite eines vorhandenen WLAN-Netzes. Die integrierte WPS-Funktion ermöglicht das
komfortable Verbinden mit einem gesicherten WLAN-Netz.
Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme aufmerksam durch, da diese
wichtige Informationen zur Installation und Benutzung, sowie Lagerung und Entsorgung des WLAN-

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Dieser WLAN-Verstärker ist ein Gerät der Informationstechnologie. Er erhöht die Reichweite eines
vorhandenen WLAN-Netzes. Der WLAN-Verstärker kann außerdem als Access Point verwendet werden,
um zum Beispiel einen Router, welcher über kein eigenes WLAN verfügt, als „WLAN-Router“ zu
verwenden. Darüber hinaus kann der WLAN-Verstärker als Client an Endgeräte mit LAN-Anschluss (z. B.

Der WLAN-Verstärker ist nicht für den Betrieb in Räumen mit hoher Temperatur oder Luftfeuchtigkeit (z.B.
Badezimmer) oder übermäßigem Staubaufkommen ausgelegt. Betriebstemperatur und
Betriebsluftfeuchtigkeit: 5 °C bis 35 °C, max. 85 % rel. Feuchte.
Bitte platzieren Sie den WLAN-Verstärker immer mit einem Mindestabstand von 20 cm vom Körper, um
Belastung durch Funkstrahlung zu vermeiden.
GEFAHR! Achten Sie darauf, dass

 keine direkten Wärmequellen (z.B. Heizungen) auf das Gerät wirken
 kein direktes Sonnenlicht oder starkes Kunstlicht auf das Gerät trifft

könnte beschädigt werden.
GEFAHR! Betriebssicherheit
 Stecken Sie den WLAN-Verstärker ausschließlich in eine frei zugängliche Steckdose, damit er bei
Gefahr (Rauchentwicklung, Brandgeruch) schnell vom Netz getrennt werden kann. Die Steckdose
muss auch während des Betriebs immer leicht erreichbar bleiben.

 Der Hauptschalter (10) des Gerätes trennt das Gerät nicht vollständig vom Stromnetz. Auch wenn das
Gerät nicht verwendet wird, verbraucht es minimal Strom. Trennen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker vor
einem längeren Nichtgebrauch, beispielsweise während des Urlaubs, vom Stromnetz. Sie minimieren
damit auch das Risiko eines Feuers oder Schwelbrands, das immer besteht, wenn ein elektrisches
Gerät am Stromnetz angeschlossen ist. Um den WLAN-Verstärker vollständig vom Stromnetz zu
trennen, muss dieser aus der Steckdose gezogen werden.
 Trennen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker auch vor einem Sturm oder Gewitter mit Blitzschlaggefahr vom
Stromnetz, da der WLAN-Verstärker bei Blitzeinschlag durch Überspannung zerstört werden kann.
 Verwenden Sie keine Adapterstecker oder Verlängerungskabel, die beschädigt sind oder nicht den
geltenden Sicherheitsnormen entsprechen.
GEFAHR! Kinder und Personen mit Einschränkungen

Elektrische Geräte gehören nicht in Kinderhände. Auch Personen mit körperlichen, geistigen oder
sensorischen Einschränkungen sollten elektrische Geräte nur im Rahmen ihrer Möglichkeiten verwenden.

mindestens 20cm von einem Herzschrittmacher bzw. einem implantierten Defibrillator fern, da sonst die
ordnungsgemäßen Funktionen des Herzschrittmachers bzw. des implantierten Defibrillators durch
Funkwellen beeinträchtigt werden können. Die übertragenen Funkwellen können Störgeräusche in
Hörgeräten verursachen. Bringen Sie das Gerät nicht mit eingeschalteter Funkkomponente in die Nähe
entflammbarer Gase oder in eine explosionsgefährdete Umgebung (z.B. Lackiererei), da die
übertragenen Funkwellen eine Explosion oder ein Feuer auslösen können. Die Reichweite der

WARNUNG! Kabel
Fassen Sie alle Kabel immer am Stecker und ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel selbst. Stellen Sie weder
Möbelstücke oder andere schweren Gegenstände auf Kabel und achten Sie darauf, dass diese nicht
geknickt werden, insbesondere am Stecker und an den Anschlussbuchsen. Machen Sie niemals einen
Knoten in ein Kabel, und binden Sie es nicht mit anderen Kabeln zusammen. Alle Kabel sollten so gelegt

Reparaturarbeiten sind erforderlich, wenn das Gerät beschädigt wurde, z.B. wenn das Gerätegehäuse

Regen oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt wurde. Reparaturarbeiten sind auch erforderlich, wenn es nicht

oder Gerüche festgestellt werden, muss das Gerät sofort abgeschaltet und aus der Steckdose gezogen

Lagerung bei Nichtbenutzung
Wenn Sie das Gerät für einen längeren Zeitraum nicht einsetzen möchten, trennen Sie den WLAN-
Verstärker vom Stromnetz. Achten Sie außerdem darauf, dass die Lagertemperatur im Bereich zwischen
-20 °C und 60 °C bleibt. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit darf 90% rel. Feuchte nicht überschreiten.
Hinweis: Die Temperaturbereiche und rel. Luftfeuchte für Lagerung und Betrieb unterscheiden sich
deutlich, beachten Sie daher die Angaben im Absatz „Betriebsumgebung“.

Vor der Inbetriebnahme
Entnehmen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker und das Zubehör aus der Verpackung und entfernen Sie alle
Verpackungsmaterialien vollständig.
Prüfen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker auf Beschädigungen. Bei Beschädigungen darf der WLAN-Verstärker
nicht in Betrieb genommen werden.
Der WLAN-Verstärker erweitert Ihr WLAN im Heimnetz. Der WLAN-Verstärker unterstützt die drei
folgenden Modi:
Repeater
Die Reichweite Ihres Funknetzwerkes (WLAN) wird vergrößert. So können WLAN-Geräte, welche sich
außerhalb der Reichweite Ihres drahtlosen Funknetzes befinden, über den WLAN-Verstärker in das
Funknetz eingebunden werden.
Client
Sie können ein Endgerät mit LAN-Anschluss (z. B. Computer, Notebook oder TV-Gerät), welches über
kein eigenes WLAN verfügt über das LAN-Kabel (Netzwerkkabel) mit dem WLAN-Verstärker verbinden.
Der WLAN-Verstärker kann nun Ihr Endgerät drahtlos mit einem vorhandenen WLAN-Router verbinden.
Eine Kompatibilität mit allen Geräten kann nicht gewährleistet werden, bitte beachten Sie die
Dokumentation Ihres Gerätes.

Access Point
Dieser Modus kann zum Beispiel dazu verwendet werden, einen Router, welcher über kein eigenes
WLAN verfügt, als „WLAN-Router“ zur Verfügung zu stellen. Der Router muss dazu über das LAN-Kabel
(Netzwerkkabel, siehe Lieferumfang) mit dem WLAN-Verstärker verbunden werden.

Der Repeater Modus dient zur Ausweitung der Reichweite Ihres drahtlosen Funknetzes. WLAN-Geräte,
welche sich außerhalb der Reichweite Ihres drahtlosen Funknetzes befinden, können über den WLAN-
Verstärker in das Funknetz eingebunden werden.

Der Modus-Wahlschalter (8) muss für den Repeater Modus auf der Stellung „Repeater“ stehen.
Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme sollte der WLAN-Verstärker in der Nähe

(ca. 2 bis 3 Meter) des WLAN-Routers platziert werden.

Stecken Sie den WLAN-Verstärker in eine immer leicht zugängliche Steckdose.
Schalten Sie nun den WLAN-Verstärker ein, indem Sie den Hauptschalter (10) auf die Stellung „ON“
schalten. Der WLAN-Verstärker benötigt nach dem Einschalten eine gewisse Zeit (Bootzeit), bis er
betriebsbereit ist. Warten Sie nach dem Einschalten ca. 30 Sekunden, bis Sie den WLAN-Verstärker
verwenden.
Sie haben zwei verschiedene Möglichkeiten, um den WLAN-Verstärker zu konfigurieren. Wenn Ihr
WLAN-Router WPS unterstützt, können Sie diese komfortable Funktion für eine einfache Einrichtung
verwenden. Möchten Sie einen WLAN-Router ohne WPS-Funktion verwenden, müssen Sie den WLAN-
Verstärker per Netzwerkkabel oder WLAN mit Ihrem Computer verbinden und konfigurieren.

WPS - Die einfachste Art der Konfiguration
Dies ist die einfachste Art, den WLAN-Verstärker zu konfigurieren. Stellen Sie zuerst sicher, ob die WPS-

1. Drücken Sie die WPS-Taste (9) am WLAN-Verstärker mindestens 6 Sekunden. Die Power/WPS-LED
(2) blinkt jetzt für ca. 2 Minuten.
2. Innerhalb dieser 2 Minuten drücken Sie bitte die Verbindungstaste (WPS) an Ihrem WLAN-Router.

Der WLAN-Verstärker verbindet sich nun automatisch mit Ihrem WLAN-Router und übernimmt die
kompletten Einstellungen. Sobald die Verbindung erfolgreich aufgebaut wurde, zeigt die Feldstärke-
Anzeige (1) die Signalstärke an. Sie können den WLAN-Verstärker nun verwenden. Der WLAN-
Verstärker ist jetzt unter der SSID (WLAN-Name) und dem Netzwerkschlüssel Ihres WLAN-Routers
erreichbar.
Nun können Sie den WLAN-Verstärker dort verwenden, wo das WLAN-Signal verstärkt werden soll. Der
optimale Standort für den WLAN-Verstärker liegt genau in der Mitte zwischen Ihrem WLAN-Router und
den WLAN-Geräten, die über den WLAN-Verstärker in das Funknetz eingebunden werden sollen. Testen
Sie andere Standorte, wenn dort der WLAN-Verstärker nicht betrieben werden kann. Verwenden Sie
den WLAN-Verstärker nur in einer leicht zugänglichen Steckdose.

Es ist möglich, mehrere WLAN-Verstärker zu konfigurieren. Die Konfiguration ist

nacheinander vorzunehmen.
Wenn Ihr WLAN-Router kein WPS unterstützt oder die Verbindung aus anderen Gründen nicht zustande
kommt, müssen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker manuell konfigurieren.
Manuelle Konfiguration
Sie haben zwei verschiedene Möglichkeiten, um den WLAN-Verstärker zu konfigurieren.
Sollten Sie an Ihrem Computer nicht die Netzwerkstandardeinstellungen verwenden
und manuell eine IP-Adresse eingestellt haben, müssen Sie die
Netzwerkeinstellungen wieder auf IP-Adresse automatisch beziehen
umstellen. Beachten Sie dazu die Dokumentation Ihres Computers.
1. Sie können den WLAN-Verstärker über das Netzwerkkabel konfigurieren. Wenn Sie den WLAN-
Verstärker über das Netzwerkkabel konfigurieren möchten, müssen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker mit
Ihrem Computer verbinden. Verwenden Sie dazu das beiliegende Netzwerkkabel. Stecken Sie ein
Ende des Netzwerkkabels in die WAN/LAN-Buchse (6) oder in die LAN-Buchse (7) des WLAN-
Verstärkers und das andere Ende in die LAN-Buchse Ihres Computers.

2. Alternativ können Sie die Konfiguration kabellos über WLAN vornehmen. Starten Sie dazu an Ihrem
Computer die Suche nach verfügbaren Drahtlosnetzwerken. In der Liste der verfügbaren
Drahtlosnetzwerke wird Ihnen das Netzwerk SWV 300 C1 angezeigt. Wählen Sie nun das
Netzwerk SWV 300 C1 aus und klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Verbinden, um sich drahtlos
mit dem WLAN-Verstärker zu verbinden. Nachdem die Schaltfläche Verbinden gedrückt wurde,
muss ggf. noch die Option Verbinden ohne das Netzwerk zu konfigurieren angeklickt
werden.
Öffnen Sie nun auf Ihrem Computer den Internet-Browser. Geben Sie in der Adresszeile des Internet-
Browsers http://repeater.setup ein und bestätigen Sie die Eingabe mit der Enter-Taste.
Es öffnet sich das Anmeldefenster des WLAN-Verstärkers. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Sprache
(Language) aus und geben Sie als Benutzername und Kennwort admin ein. Klicken Sie anschließend
auf die Schaltfläche Senden. Es öffnet sich nun das Konfigurationsmenü des WLAN-Verstärkers.
Führen Sie die Konfiguration mit Hilfe des Assistenten durch. Klicken Sie dazu im Feld Assistent auf die
Schaltfläche Repeater.

Wählen Sie nun aus der Liste ein WLAN-Netz aus, dessen Reichweite Sie erweitern möchten, indem Sie
im Feld „Auswählen“ das entsprechende Netz markieren.

SSID für den WLAN-Verstärker angeben. Geben Sie bei Sicherheitsschlüssel den Netzwerkschlüssel

Sicherheitsschlüssel anzeigen zu lassen. Klicken Sie nach vollständiger Eingabe auf die Schaltfläche

Verstärker per Netzwerkkabel mit Ihrem Computer.

IP-Adresse fest eingestellt werden. Die IP-Adresse erhalten Sie bei Ihrem Internet-Service-Provider.
 IP-Adresse automatisch beziehen – Bei dieser Option wird die IP-Adresse automatisch vom
Internet-Service-Provider vergeben. Hier ist keine weitere Eingabe notwendig.
 ADSL-Verbindungsaufbau – Bei dieser Option müssen Sie Benutzername und Passwort für
Ihren Internet-Service-Provider angeben. Benutzername und Passwort erhalten Sie bei Ihrem Internet-
Service-Provider.

Geben Sie nun bei SSID eine beliebige SSID für den WLAN-Verstärker ein. Bei Kanal können Sie eine
Kanalnummer fest einstellen oder mit der Option Automatisch die automatische Vergabe einer
Kanalnummer aktivieren. Wählen Sie bei Sicherheitstyp eine Verschlüsselung aus, um Ihr Netzwerk
vor unberechtigtem Zugriff zu schützen. Sie können das Netzwerk auch ungesichert einrichten, wählen
Sie dazu die Option Deaktivieren aus. Wir empfehlen jedoch eine Verschlüsselung einzurichten.

Wenn Ihr Endgerät kein WPS unterstützt, können Sie die Verbindung auch manuell zum WLAN-
Verstärker (Access Point) herstellen.
Manueller Verbindungsaufbau zum Access Point

Um manuell eine Verbindung zum WLAN-Verstärker (Access Point) aufzubauen, müssen Sie an Ihrem
Endgerät nach verfügbaren Drahtlosnetzwerken suchen. In der Liste der verfügbaren Drahtlosnetzwerke
wird Ihnen der WLAN-Verstärker (Access Point) unter der von Ihnen angegebenen SSID (WLAN-Name)
angezeigt. Wählen Sie nun die entsprechende SSID (WLAN-Name) aus, um Ihr Endgerät mit dem
WLAN-Verstärker (Access Point) drahtlos zu verbinden. Geben Sie dabei den von Ihnen vergebenen
Netzwerkschlüssel ein. Beachten Sie die Dokumentation Ihres Endgerätes.

Konfigurationsmenü des WLAN-Verstärkers

Das Konfigurationsmenü des WLAN-Verstärkers können Sie an Ihrem Computer mit einem Internet-
Browser öffnen. In diesem Konfigurationsmenü können Sie erweiterte Einstellungen des WLAN-
Verstärkers vornehmen, Informationen anzeigen lassen oder eine neue Firmware Version installieren.

starten, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Repeater, Client bzw. Accesspoint oder Router. Folgen
Sie nun den Bildschirmanweisungen des Assistenten.

Hier werden Ihnen Informationen zum drahtlosen Netzwerk des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt. Beachten
Sie, dass abhängig vom eingestellten Modus (Repeater, Client oder Accesspoint) des WLAN-Verstärkers
nicht alle Optionen angezeigt werden.
Modus
Hier wird die aktuell eingestellte Betriebsart des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt.
Status
Hier wird der aktuelle Status des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt.
SSID
Hier wird die SSID des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt.

Grundeinstellungen
WLAN aktivieren
Hier können Sie das WLAN deaktivieren bzw. aktivieren. Klicken Sie dazu auf die Schaltfläche
Aktiviert/Deaktivieren. Wenn die Schaltfläche Aktiviert/Deaktivieren grün dargestellt wird,

ist das WLAN aktiv. Wird die Schaltfläche Deaktiviert/Aktivieren grau dargestellt, ist das WLAN
deaktiviert. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der kabellose Zugriff auf den WLAN-Verstärker bei Deaktivierung
nicht mehr möglich ist. Verbinden Sie den WLAN-Verstärker per Netzwerkkabel mit Ihrem Computer, um
wieder Zugriff auf den WLAN-Verstärker zu erhalten.
SSID
Hier können Sie die SSID (WLAN-Name) des WLAN-Verstärkers anpassen. Im Repeater Modus wird
hier die SSID des Routers genannt.
Kanal
Stellen Sie eine Kanalnummer fest ein oder wählen Sie die Option Automatisch, um die automatische
Vergabe einer Kanalnummer zu aktivieren.
Sicherheitstyp
Stellen Sie hier eine Verschlüsselung für das Netzwerk ein.
Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen, um geänderte Einstellungen zu übernehmen. Der
WLAN-Verstärker führt nun einen Neustart durch. Warten Sie ca. 30 Sekunden bevor Sie ggf. weitere
Eingaben vornehmen.
Wir empfehlen Ihnen die WPA/WPA2 PSK-Verschlüsselung zu verwenden, da diese
die höchste Sicherheit bietet. Sollten Ihre WLAN-Geräte die WPA/WPA2 PSK-
Verschlüsselung nicht unterstützen, müssen Sie eine andere Verschlüsselung
verwenden.

Diese Option sollte nur von erfahrenen Benutzern verwendet werden. Hier können Einstellungen zum
Netzwerk vorgenommen werden. Da die Einstellungen individuell auf Ihr Netzwerk angepasst werden
müssen, wird hier nicht weiter darauf eingegangen. Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie über unsere
Service-Hotline (siehe Seite 309).
Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen, um geänderte Einstellungen zu übernehmen.
WPS
WPS aktivieren
Im Auslieferungszustand ist die WPS-Funktion aktiviert. Hier können Sie die WPS-Funktion deaktivieren
bzw. aktivieren. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Aktiviert/Deaktivieren, um die WPS-Funktion zu
deaktivieren. Wenn die Schaltfläche Aktiviert/Deaktivieren grün dargestellt wird, ist die WPS-
Funktion aktiv. Wird die Schaltfläche Deaktiviert/Aktivieren grau dargestellt, ist die WPS-Funktion

deaktiviert. Klicken Sie dann auf die Schaltfläche Deaktiviert/Aktivieren, um die WPS-Funktion zu
aktivieren. Bitte beachten Sie, dass bei deaktivierter WPS-Funktion keine Verbindung zum WLAN Gerät
über die WPS-Funktion durchgeführt werden kann. Weiterhin ist dann auch die WPS-Taste (9) am
WLAN-Verstärker ohne Funktion.
PIN
Hier wird Ihnen die WPS-PIN des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt. Mit dieser WPS-PIN können Sie den
WLAN-Verstärker mit Ihrem WLAN-Router verbinden. Ihr WLAN-Router muss dazu die WPS-PIN-
Methode unterstützen. Geben Sie die WPS-PIN an Ihrem WLAN-Router ein. Beachten Sie dazu die
Dokumentation Ihres WLAN-Routers. Der WLAN-Verstärker verbindet sich nun automatisch mit Ihrem
WLAN-Router und übernimmt die kompletten Einstellungen. Sobald die Verbindung erfolgreich
aufgebaut wurde, leuchtet die Feldstärke-Anzeige (1). Sie können den WLAN-Verstärker nun
verwenden.
PBC starten / PBC beenden
Hier können Sie den WLAN-Verstärker mit einem WPS-fähigen Endgerät verbinden. Klicken Sie auf die
Schaltfläche PBC starten, um die WPS-Funktion zu starten. Die Power/WPS-LED (2) des WLAN-
Verstärkers blinkt jetzt für ca. 2 Minuten. Innerhalb dieser 2 Minuten drücken Sie bitte die
Verbindungstaste (WPS) an Ihrem Endgerät. Beachten Sie dazu die Dokumentation Ihres Endgerätes.
Der WLAN-Verstärker verbindet sich nun automatisch mit Ihrem Endgerät. Sobald die Verbindung
erfolgreich aufgebaut wurde, leuchtet die Feldstärke-Anzeige (1). Sie können den WLAN-Verstärker nun

verwenden. Die WPS-Funktion können Sie beenden, indem Sie auf die Schaltfläche PBC beenden
klicken.
Status
Hier wird der aktuelle WPS Status des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt. Folgende Anzeigen sind möglich:
Leerlauf – Der WPS-Suchlauf wurde bisher noch nicht gestartet, Gestartet – Der WPS-Suchlauf
wurde gestartet, Verbinden – Die WPS-Verbindung wird hergestellt, Erfolgreich – Die WPS-
Verbindung wurde erfolgreich hergestellt, Fehlgeschlagen – Die WPS-Verbindung ist fehlgeschlagen,
Überlagerung – Mehrere Geräte versuchen zeitgleich eine WPS-Verbindung aufzubauen und
Zeitüberschreitung! – Die WPS-Verbindung konnte aufgrund der Zeitüberschreitung nicht hergestellt
werden.

Hier können Sie eine Zeitschaltung für das WLAN-Funknetz einrichten, um das WLAN-Funknetz
automatisch ein- und auszuschalten. Klicken Sie dazu auf die Schaltfläche Deaktiviert/Aktivieren.
Wenn die Schaltfläche Aktiviert/Deaktivieren grün dargestellt wird, ist Zeitschaltung für das
WLAN-Funknetz aktiv. Wird die Schaltfläche Deaktiviert/Aktivieren grau dargestellt, ist
Zeitschaltung für das WLAN-Funknetz deaktiviert.
Sobald die Zeitschaltung für das WLAN-Funknetz aktiv ist, können Sie bis zu 10 Regeln festlegen. Um
eine Regel zu aktivieren, klicken Sie in der Spalte Aktivieren auf das entsprechende Kästchen.
Wählen Sie danach in der entsprechenden Zeile den gewünschten Wochentag bzw. für jeden Tag
Täglich aus. Geben Sie nun die Zeitspanne an, wann das WLAN-Funknetz eingeschaltet sein soll.
Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen, um geänderte Einstellungen zu übernehmen.
Der WLAN-Verstärker benötigt für die Zeitplan Option eine Internetverbindung.

Beachten Sie ggf. auch eine mögliche Überschneidung mit einer Zeitschaltung Ihres
Routers, das heißt, dass dieser erst nach dem Repeater das WLAN ausschalten darf.
Prüfen Sie weiterhin im Menü „Zeitzonen-Einstellungen“ des WLAN-Verstärkers, ob
Uhrzeit und Datum richtig eingestellt sind.

Netzwerk
Es werden Ihnen hier direkt die verwendete IP-Adresse, der eingestellte DHCP Modus und die MAC-
Adresse des WLAN-Verstärkers angezeigt. Klicken Sie auf das Symbol „Netzwerk“, um die
Netzwerkeinstellungen anzupassen.
IP-Adresse
Hier können Sie die IP-Adresse des WLAN-Verstärkers ändern.
DHCP
Hier können Sie den DHCP Modus einstellen. Folgende Optionen stehen zur Auswahl: Deaktivieren,
Server und Automatisch. Im Auslieferungszustand ist die Option Automatisch aktiviert. Bei der

Option Automatisch werden IP-Adressen automatisch zugewiesen. Die Zuordnungen sind hier
permanent und werden nicht entfernt. Der Vorteil ist hier, dass ein Endgerät immer dieselbe IP-Adresse
erhält. Nachteil ist, dass neue Endgeräte keine IP-Adresse erhalten, wenn der Adressbereich komplett
vergeben ist, auch wenn IP-Adressen nicht mehr aktiv genutzt werden. Im Unterschied zur Option
Server wo IP-Adressen automatisch zugewiesen werden und in einer Tabelle festgehalten werden. Die
Zuordnung ist hier jedoch nicht permanent und Endgeräte bekommen ggf. eine andere IP-Adresse
zugewiesen.
Um geänderte Einstellungen zu übernehmen, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen oder auf
Abbrechen, um die geänderten Einstellungen zu verwerfen.

Verwaltung
Hier können Sie weitere Einstellungen vornehmen oder eine neue Firmware Version installieren. Klicken
Sie auf das Symbol „Verwaltung“ bzw. direkt auf die gewünschte Option:

Kennwort
Hier können Sie das voreingestellte Kennwort (admin) für die Anmeldung am WLAN-Verstärker ändern.
Geben Sie dazu einen Benutzernamen und zweimal das neue Kennwort ein.
Um das geänderte Kennwort zu übernehmen, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen oder auf
Abbrechen, um abzubrechen.
Merken Sie sich Benutzernamen und Kennwort gut oder bewahren Sie diese an einem sicheren Ort auf!

Zeitzonen-Einstellungen
Hier können Sie Datum und Uhrzeit einstellen. Geben Sie dazu das Datum und die Uhrzeit in die
entsprechenden Felder ein.

Geben Sie bei Zeitzone die entsprechende Zeitzone an in der Sie sich befinden.
Bei NTP-Client-Update aktivieren ist ein Haken gesetzt, um die Uhrzeit über ein NTP-Server
(Network Time Protocol) abzugleichen. Die Zeit und das Datum wird hier über das Internet mit einem
Server synchronisiert. Aktivieren Sie die automatische Umstellung von Sommer-/Winterzeit, indem Sie
einen Haken bei Zeitumstellung automatisch setzen.
Wähen Sie nun einen vorgegebenen NTP-Server im Feld NTP-Server aus oder geben Sie die Adresse
eines NTP-Servers im Feld Manuelle NTP-Einstellung an.
Um geänderte Einstellungen zu übernehmen, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen. Durch
Klicken auf die Schaltfläche Aktualisieren können Sie die Ansicht aktualisieren.

LED-Steuerung
Die LEDs des WLAN-Verstärkers lassen sich hier aus- bzw. einschalten. Dies hat jedoch keine
Auswirkung auf die Power/WPS-LED (2), diese kann nicht ausgeschaltet werden.
Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche AUS, um die LEDs auszuschalten. Um die LEDs wieder einzuschalten,
müssen Sie auf die Schaltfläche AN klicken.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass nach dem Aus- bzw. Einschalten der LEDs der WLAN-Verstärker einen Neustart
durchführt.

Einstellungen speichern/wiederherstellen
Hier können Sie die Konfiguration des WLAN-Verstärkers speichern, laden und zurücksetzen.
Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Speichern..., um die Konfiguration des WLAN-Verstärkers in einer
Datei auf Ihrem Computer zu speichern.
Um eine gesicherte Konfiguration auszuwählen, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Durchsuchen... und
wählen Sie dann die gewünschte Konfigurationsdatei auf Ihrem Computer aus. Klicken Sie nun auf die
Schaltfläche Hochladen, um die zuvor ausgewählte Konfigurationsdatei zu laden.

Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Werkseinstellungen laden, um den WLAN-Verstärker auf die
Werkseinstellungen zurück zu setzen. Bestätigen Sie die folgende Sicherheitsabfrage mit OK, um die
Werkseinstellungen nun endgültig zu laden oder mit Abbrechen, um den Vorgang abzubrechen.
Beachten Sie, dass beim Zurücksetzen auf die Werkseinstellungen alle zuvor
geänderten Einstellungen verloren gehen.

Firmware aktualisieren
Wenn Sie eine neue Firmware Version erhalten haben, können Sie diese installieren. Klicken Sie dazu
auf die Schaltfläche Durchsuchen... und wählen Sie dann die neue Firmware Version auf Ihrem
Computer aus. Folgen Sie nun den Bildschirmanweisungen, um die Firmware Version zu installieren.
Beachten Sie, dass beim Aktualisieren der Firmware der WLAN-Verstärker auf die
Werkseinstellungen zurückgesetzt wird und alle zuvor geänderten Einstellungen
verloren gehen.

Hier können Sie den WLAN-Verstärker neu starten.
Klicken Sie dazu auf die Schaltfläche Neustart. Bestätigen Sie die folgende Sicherheitsabfrage mit
OK, um den WLAN-Verstärker nun endgültig neu zu starten oder mit Abbrechen, um den Vorgang
abzubrechen.
Status
Es werden Ihnen hier direkt die verwendete Firmwareversion, die Betriebszeit nach dem letztem
Einschalten und das Erstellungsdatum (Build-Zeit) der installierten Firmware Version des WLAN-
Verstärkers angezeigt. Klicken Sie auf das Symbol „Status“, um sich weitere Informationen anzeigen zu
lassen. Nun werden Ihnen detailliertere Informationen zum System, WLAN und LAN angezeigt.

Umwelthinweise und Entsorgungsangaben
Die mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichneten Geräte unterliegen der europäischen

Richtlinie 2012/19/EU. Alle Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte müssen getrennt vom
Hausmüll über dafür staatlich vorgesehene Stellen entsorgt werden. Mit der
ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung des alten Geräts vermeiden Sie Umweltschäden und
eine Gefährdung Ihrer persönlichen Gesundheit. Weitere Informationen zur

Die meisten Probleme können Sie selbst anhand der folgenden Tabelle lösen. Falls das Problem nach

Führen Sie keine eigenhändigen Reparaturarbeiten durch!
Die Power/WPS-LED (2) leuchtet nicht.
 Prüfen Sie, ob der Hauptschalter (10) auf der Stellung „ON“ steht.
 Steckdose defekt oder Sicherung ausgelöst; prüfen Sie die Steckdose mit einem anderen Gerät.
Keine WLAN-Verbindung zum WLAN-Router
 Die Entfernung zum WLAN-Router ist zu groß, verringern Sie diese.

 Die WLAN-Funktion Ihres WLAN-Routers ist deaktiviert, aktivierten Sie diese.
Keine LAN-Verbindung
 Prüfen Sie, ob das Netzwerkkabel korrekt in der WAN/LAN-Buchse (6) oder in der LAN-Buchse (7)
des WLAN-Verstärkers und in der LAN-Buchse Ihres Endgerätes steckt.
Verbindungsaufbau mit der WPS-Taste schlägt fehl
 Führen Sie den Verbindungsaufbau mit der WPS-Taste ein weiteres Mal durch.
 Setzen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker in den Auslieferungszustand zurück. Drücken Sie die Reset-Taste (5)
für ca. 10 Sekunden mit einem spitzen Gegenstand, bis die Power/WPS-LED (2) erlischt. Der WLAN-
Verstärker führt nun einen Neustart durch. Der WLAN-Verstärker benötigt eine gewisse Zeit (Bootzeit),
bis er betriebsbereit ist. Warten Sie ca. 30 Sekunden, bis Sie den WLAN-Verstärker verwenden.
Führen Sie danach den Verbindungsaufbau mit der WPS-Taste erneut durch.
 Beseitigen Sie Störquellen zwischen WLAN-Verstärker und WLAN-Router.
 Die Entfernung zwischen WLAN-Verstärker und WLAN-Router ist zu groß, verringern Sie diese.
Das Konfigurationsmenü des WLAN-Verstärkers wird nicht angezeigt.
 Die Adresse http://repeater.setup wurde falsch in der Adressleiste des Internet-Browsers
eingegeben; prüfen und korrigieren Sie Ihre Eingabe.
 Die Konfiguration des WLAN-Verstärkers ist fehlerhaft. Setzen Sie den WLAN-Verstärker in den
Auslieferungszustand zurück. Drücken Sie dazu die Reset-Taste (5) für ca. 10 Sekunden mit einem
spitzen Gegenstand, bis die Power/WPS-LED (2) erlischt. Der WLAN-Verstärker führt jetzt einen
