Course Description:

This course is a philosophical inquiry into the nature of mean in order to understand what it means to be fully human being. It shall study mans origin, the attribute
attached to his nature, his being as composite of body, the realities of his existence and also views of source great philosophers and thinkers regarding the nature of man and
being human.

Course General Objectives:

At the end of the course, each student are expected to:

A. Cognitive:
1. Learn what contemporary man is about, his interests are and, inequitably, what he is.
2. Knew and understand what man in a personal and philosophical perspective, with the help of those who have already undertaken it.
3. Acquire knowledge on the role of philosophy in mans crisis situation.

B. Affective:
1. Appreciate the difference of man in each era in trying to cope with the problems of his times.
2. Internalize post studies of philosophers and thinkers to know man holistically.
3. Recognize and give importance to the different Filipino Values.

C. Psychomotor
1. Differentiate contemporary man from the ancient and the medieval man.
2. Examine man in all his dimensions a person, as existent being in the world.
3. Study man with emphasis on the Filipino in the context of his culture.
