2.) Quality of work life is the process of joint decision making and building mutual respect
between management and employees. This process causes a change in people-in how they
feel about themselves, their work and each other. Their are totally five principles according to
the quality of working life movement:
--The principle of closure- job must include all tasks.
--Control and monitoring of tasks- jobs should be designed and worker should take responsible
on their work
--Task variety- increase the range of tasks for a worker
--Self regulation- employees should control their working speed and make some decision
making.
--Interaction and co operation- job structure should give some chance for workers to work

4.) Job Enlargement is the method in giving more tasks or works to the worker. For example,
instead of putting two wheels of bicycle, that employee has to make an entire products together.
Most business called this problem as horizontal loading where such as tasks can be replace by
using machine. Machine can work more efficient and faster and can also increase workers
satisfaction.

- workers do not like the uncertainty that job changes lead to and may become dissatisfy.

- Seeing teams as the solution for all problems. Some tasks are better accomplished by

their family issues. EAPs consist of telephone counselling which is confidential and they also
motivate employees. They are necessary in business because they make the staff or workers
feel that they are appreciated and are being taken care of.

- It means having a balance in both the workers’ work life and private life. Work is career and
and ambition while under life there are health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual
development. If a person’s life is consisted of only work then surely he/she will get highly
stressed, but one can’t just have fun, one must also fulfill his/her duties in work for survival.
