3. REFLECTION NOTES
3.1. Reflection
The Steel Temporary chambers in the camp site was a cool (literally) experience,
where we would shuffle through all the design drawings of the SUB STRUCTURE, SUPER
STRUCTURE, GAD & RE WALLS , critically discussing the various pieces trying to make
sense initially of the document at hand.
The long discussions in the office with the engineer in charge Er.Yogesh Sir over various
technical aspects and he also shared his insightful over the years experiences at various
other site works he was associated with such a kanteerava studio grade separator which
was also a project concluded by his team in association with the same firm.
The Labour friends constantly working with rebars also had a lot of knowledge to offer
just by observing their work on site.
I was accustomed to working with labours of the southern region in the construction area,
but in the company majority of the labour were from Northern India , I was moderately
successful in connecting and communicating with them , which was a new experience for
me.
Before my internship with PJB , I had only experience with private building construction.
I wanted to transition in to the public domain projects with road infrastructure
development, now that I feel like I have found my direction and confidence as I am
familiar with the procedures, processes and functioning of a successful firm.
3.3. Learning's
4. Field methods of translating drawing data such as levels on the site using auto
level.
9. Many Critical aspects which we fail to encounter in the class room environment
The Specimen Cubes being cast for lab testing and Concreting of Dirt Wall.
The Supporting Truss being jacked in place as foundation for the formwork of the
succeeding deck slab segment.
