INTRODUCTION

Universal Indicator is designed to accept 4 to 20 mA input, displays the process


parameter through a 4 digit red LED display.

The instrument is available in a panel mounted housing which requires a cut out of 92mm
x 92 mm x 110 mm. A variety of power supply options are available for this.

The instrument employs low drift precision components for long trouble-free operation.

The instrument is a jumper-less system There are different types of modes such as normal
mode, operation mode, configuration mode, setup mode, calibration mode and change
password mode. Any change in the mode can be done by 4 keys provided. Default mode
is normal mode.

This instrument can operate with full range for all inputs.

OPERATION
There are different mode of operation

1. Normal mode

In a Normal mode, digital value will display if sensor is


connected. If sensor is not connected “oPen” will display.

2. Configuration mode

1) Press M to go to other modes.


2) Press down arrow & function key M simultaneously

3) It will go to Config mode, Press € Key,

4) it will go to password menu, press Up arrow

5) Enter password 0134 by using Up & Down key &


Press € Key

6) it will go to Zero parameter. Press € Key.

7) In this menu you can see the zero value. Then


Press € Key.

8) it will go to Span parameter. Press € Key

9) In this menu you can see the Span value. Then


Press € Key

10) Next parameter is Output Low (oPLO) that is Zeo


adjustment. Press € Key

11) Adjust zero if necessary by Up & Down key. Then


Press € Key

12) Next parameter is Output High (oPH1) that is Span


adjustment. Press € Key

13) Adjust Span if necessary by Up & Down key. Then


Press € Key

14) Next parameter is Set point 1 (SP 1), this is Alarm


level setting. Press € Key

15) Adjust alarm level if necessary by Up & Down key.


Then Press € Key

16) Next parameter is Set point 2 (SP 2), this is Trip


level setting. Press € Key

17) Adjust Trip level if necessary by Up & Down key.


Then Press € Key

18) Next parameter is Hysteresis setting (HYS1) for


Alarm level to avoid relay chattering. Press € Key

19) Adjust HYS1 to 0.5 to 1 if necessary by Up & Down


key. Then Press € Key

20) Next parameter is Hysteresis setting (HYS2) for


Trip level to avoid relay chattering. Then Press €
Key

21) Adjust HYS2 to 0.5 to 1 if necessary by Up & Down


key. Then Press € Key

22) Next parameter is Input Check (InP). Input is 4-20


mA or any other. Press € Key

24) Next parameter is Decimal point Check (DP). Press

25) Adjust it by up & down key. Then Press € Key
