He is Gerome Gumatay Dotarot.

He was born on February 16, 1982

at La-Union, Candijay, Bohol. He is 36 years old. He claimed that his

mother was the most influential person to him as a child.

According to him, family is his source of love, joy, and happiness; a

family’s worth to live. He has three siblings. He is the second child of

Mrs. Juanita Dotarot and Mr. Romeo Dotarot.

He was married to Vilma Rita Hoy Dotarot for 16 years. They first met

in his parents’ house where his wife is a guest. He said that his wife is

his first love. They have three children. The oldest and second child

are the girls with the age of 15 years old and 2 years old respectively.

The youngest is a 1 year old boy.

For him, simply taking care of his family at all time is the most special

way he has shown his love. His family being with him all the time is

the most special way he have been shown he is loved. He describes

himself as a strict parent in disciplining his children. He also describes

himself as loving and responsible to his duties. His goal as a parent is

to make sure to have his children a good future.

He went to La Union Elementary School in his elementary year and

went to La Union National High School in his second year. During his

school years, mathematics was his favorite subject to study. He

named some teachers that were particularly influential to him as a

student, they are Mrs. Ampoloquio, his Grade 1 teacher, Mrs.

Avenido, his Grade 3 teacher, and high school teacher, Mrs.

Ayanan. He described himself as socially and academically active

at all times when he was still studying.

He attended University of Bohol during his college year. For him, his

most memorable moment during college is when he handled his

study the same time as a working scholar every day to support his

tuition pay. Also, he was satisfied with the academic path he

followed during college.

According to him, his best job was being an officer in Company

Liason because this is where he learned to start his own business. His
mother, and his family, especially his wife, had the biggest influence

in his career.

He considers EDSA Revolution to be the most significant political

event that has occurred during his life because the democracy was

prevailed. He would like to see no corruptions in politics as a change

in the current political atmosphere.

His definition of happiness is achieving what you wanted. His

memorable travel experience is when they are traveling to

Mindanao, Philippines together with his family to have a family visit.

Having his family and a business that can sustain income to his family

needs are the accomplishments he’s most proud of. And for him,

religion is his guide and path for being who he is now.
