Concept Mapping Project:

Presentation on August 13th

Case Study:
67 year old female with CHF taking Digoxin and Lasix.

Alix- (Handout) Come up with a case study including: client name, socioeconomic status, race,
client’s medical history, allergies, corresponding vital signs, signs and symtptoms (OPQRST)
pertaining to chief complaint. You could add in a fake picture of an older woman, etc. Make
copies for class.
DUE DATE(S): Information forwarded to group ASAP (no later than 7/28 to allow us to do our
research). Bring handout to class on 8/6, so we can review and revise if necessary.

Alexis (Power Point) including collaboration of group research (medication, disease process, and
nursing process). Add in handout information and concept map. Add in media and possibly a
voice over to present the material (if possible, I have never tried doing before).
DUE: I will bring to class on August 6th to review and revise if necessary.

Jessie (Concept Mapping) Handout- Take our information and do a concept map handout. Like
Deras mentioned, there is a great tool on the EVOLVE website or disc in the back of the Evolve
book to plug in the information. Use whatever is easiest! Due 8/6 in class so we can revise and
review if necessary. Will need to make copies for class.
RESEARCH:

Content Must be researched,cited and forwarded to the group NO LATER THAN 8/1 so we can
meet our other deadlines. Please put in bullet point and send as a word or pdf document.
Include all citations. Each of us need one citation from an Evidence Based Journal. Please send
all of this to me including citations for the power point.
