Time: 1.5 Hours (Answer any Five questions, each carries equal marks) Max. Marks: 50

1. (a). Derive the general 2x2 transformation matrix for rotation about the origin.
(b). Find the transformation matrices for 00, 900, 1800 & 2700 clockwise rotation about the origin.
(c). Find the homogeneous coordinate representation of transformation matrices for clockwise &
counter clockwise rotation about the origin.
2. Find the reflection of the triangle A (2,3), B (3,4), C (2,5) about the line PQ where P (1,2), Q (5,3)
3. Prove that two consecutive reflections about the axes passing through the origin yields a pure
rotation.
4. Explain orthographic & Perspective projection and 3D reflection with mathematical elements.
5. Explain the elements of 4x4 homogeneous 3D transformation matrix in detail.
6. Show the 3D local scaling, overall scaling and shearing with the help of a unit cube
7. (a). Comment on the determinant of 2D & 3D transformation matrices for rotation and reflection.
(b). Brief homogeneous coordinate factor and applications of homogeneous coordinates.
