Jerry Lizalek
Security Manager
Exelon Generating Station
35100 Illinois 53
Braceville, IL 60407

Dear Mr. Lizalek:

While reporting my route details to my supervisor, my mentor, Mr. Lee mentioned to me that
there was an open position for Security Lead. I would love to discuss the position further to
express my interest. I know our stations security team has lead the fleet in multiple safety and
safeguard aspects, even with the entries of 3 new hire classes. With the company having new
officers coming in at this rate, I believe my leadership skills can contribute to the team. I
believe using my prior military experience I can carry over some of the lessons I learned while
serving to help our force continue its success.

I understand the need to keep our officers motivated and find simple solutions to problems
that occur during our shifts. Slowing down the turnover rate for officers leaving the company is
one of our forces biggest obstacles. As a current security officer, I feel like I can relate to issues
brought up and find common ground between the company and officers. Just last month while
in full comps our rotation was an issue. There were officers not getting relieved in a timely
matter for hygiene. I quickly brought up the issue and came up with a solution with our current
security lead. I understand some solutions cannot be fixed overnight but I feel my experiences
here can help contribute to the security forces issues.

Your current application states Lead Supervisor requirements are leadership skills, integrity, and
5 years of security experience. I have been a security officer for 3 years and have served in the
Army for 6 years. During one of our annual training sessions I was thrust into a leadership role
without notice. I took the opportunity to distinguish myself from the unit and use the experience
to better myself. Our squad was full of brand new privates that had many questions on how we
ran in our platoon. I guided each soldier successfully through the training without any issues. I
can bring this experience and leadership to the Braidwood security force and teach new hires
lessons and standards.
Exelon Generating Station has a solid foundation and I feel like I could resume my career with
the company. I would thoroughly enjoy talking to you about furthering my career with the
company. Feel free to contact me any time of the day at (815)555-5555 or email at
random@email.com. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.
Sincerely,

Brandon Faletti
