2. AIM
The aim of this module is to enable students to understand the concepts of the core issues
in human resource and general management and acquire knowledge in quality issues.

3. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the module students should be able to :

1. Discuss the challenge of management in the new business environment.


2. Explain the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility.
3. Explain the planning and decision making process.
4. Explain the Human Resource Planning process, recruitment, selection and training.
5. Differentiate between performance appraisal and management.
6. Describe the role of management in the Total Quality Management process.
7. Explain the Employee Involvement and Empowerment for Quality.
