For extra practice write them down.

CHOICE #2: Problem Solving


Solve: Lisa has 12 cupcakes. She gave some cupcakes to Jill. Now Lisa has
7 cupcakes. How many cupcakes did she give to Jill?

CHOICE #3: Math practice


Tell a family member what the equal sign actually means. Look at
these equations. Are they balanced? 4+2=3+3, 2-1=4+0,
5+1+5=12-1, 6-0=2+2+2, 9+9=10+8, 8-3=3+8
CHOICE #4: Writing/Grammar:
Can you tell a family member what a conjunction is (remember…it’s the
glue that holds a compound sentence together). Look through books and
go on a scavenger hunt! (and, but, or, yet, nor, because…)
CHOICE #5: Comprehension Practice
Read a fiction story and play charades! Act out the major events in the
story and see if your parents can guess what is happening!
