Filelist:
---------
GTApackages.exe 56kb The Executable
font.bmp 192kb My Font-file
VCmap.bmp 3MB The map-file
readme.txt 3kb this file
The Program may be spreaded freely, but be sure to include these files !
Just open the Program & hit 'O' to load a Vice City Savegame. They're usually located
in 'My Documents/GTA Vice City User Files', or 'Eigene Dateien/GTA Vice City User Files'
(German Windows).
Be sure that the file is really a Vice City Savegame - or the Program will eventually crash (no
time for stupid checks !).
Then you'll see the map & all packages left in this Savegame.
Packages:
You'll see them as red triangles or square, depending how "high" they are in the game.
When looking in the upper right corner, you see how many packages are left.
Rampages:
ToDO / wishes:
--------------
Well, currently you just see where the package is. No Number or anything else to find it using
the well-known guides...
Maybe I'll include this in a later Version.
The unique Jumps are something else I'd like to show, since often you did one & died after this
& can't remember if you did it...
Well, i'll have to figure out, where this information is - unlike in GTA3, the information is not
stored like the packages.
Bugs:
-----
Well, there must be many !
known:
- hanging, when loading corrupted / wrong savegames
- maybe it crashes when your desktop is not 32bits
Reported:
- Slow System when running Vice City in the background (ATI card)
workaround (?): Use the Program without VC in the bg.
Since the Viewer works only on savegames, there should be no use for running both
!
System requirements:
--------------------
Well, since its tested on only one System, here are my Specs:
Duron 1200 Mhz, 512 MB SD-Ram (PC133), GF2 Ti (64MB DDR), WindowsXP Pro
OpenGL with Glut needed !
Maybe some MS Visual C++ runtimes are required ...
Plz don't ask me if this program runs under Linux
(Since its ANSI-C, it would do so, but first please program GTA VC for Linux & _after_ this - ask
!)
