1 Introduction
Before starting the pilot network, the following points will be completed:
The following table describes the software loads that should be on the testbed/network elements
during the pilot:
NE Software Version
RNC/MBSC RAN 13
NodeB/MBTS RAN 13
WBBPd board supports the IC (interference cancellation) function of uplink data when installed
in slot 2 or slot 3.
Uplink Rules
o Baseband boards (up to 6) can be configured as 1 resource group or as several
resource groups
o CE resources can be shared in one resource pool within 6 cells dynamically
o 1 UL resource group can support up to 6 cells
o Recommended to put intra-frequency cells into the same UL resource group, because
Softer handover may occur in cells within the same UL resource group
Downlink Rules
o Several WBBPd board can be configured
as 1 resource group
o Same-carrier cells should be configured in
same baseband card
o CE resources can be shared inside only
one WBBP board
o DL resource group can support up to 24
cells;

5 Counters
All the contractual KPIs will be followed to verify the global performances. Also, traffic distribution on the
different layers will be evaluated, to monitor wether the traffic segmentation is effective or not.
Also, traffic load on the different layer will be evaluated.
Specific counters listed hereafter will be monitored.
