Key Benefits

OPTIMA – 1000/1200 Series Equipment

“Wire it once” broadband infrastructure: Featuring single-mode-fiber, coax and

wide band distributed antennae system. Includes multi-systems combiner to
enable several BTS with different technologies to combine into a single fiber
system.
• Modular ‘Plug and play’ for additional 3G, CDMA, GSM or Wifi.
• All active components are located in the communication.
• Alarms monitoring, upgrades and maintenance are simple.
• No new investment in horizontal cabling is needed.

Capital investment is limit upfront by installing only the modules supporting the
required services. The horizontal infrastructure (coax antennae) is installed
once.

Alarm and Control
CONSISTEL Base Unit alarms are dry contacts, indicating that the
optical link between the BU and RHU is not functioning. The dry
Alarms contacts open when the alarm is active. All alarms are connected to
the rear panel 25pin D type connector, when not using CONSISTEL
410/430 controller.
The Base Unit includes a direct connection with a PC for the purpose
of configuration as well as for connection to the CONSISTEL 410/430
(NMS) Controller. The BU front panel includes a connection to a
Control
PC/laptop, and the back panel includes a RJ45 connection to
CONSISTEL 410/430. A 9 pin connector on the RHU enable setting
the parameters locally using a PC.

LED Specification – Base Unit LEDs

The Base Unit has three of LEDs. All LEDs should be on when the unit is in operation.
LED Name LED Function
When illuminates the led indicates that both directions of the optical
link, between BU and RHU, are functioning - one LED for every
Link 1-8
link. When it blinks the led indicates that optical power from RHU
is higher than 2dBo.
