I, Kushal Kandel, son of Mr. Arjun Bahadur Kandel and Mrs. Tika Devi Kandel, am a
permanent resident of Kumpur-07, Dhading, Nepal. It is my pleasure to present my
Statement of Purpose which briefly describe about my perception of studying Level 4
Extended Diploma in Management at EIE Institute Of Education, San Gwann, Malta. I
have enlisted my entire academic career so far along with my future plan in this
statement of purpose.

Here, I was a part of renowned school, Cambridge Int'l School where I was involved for
Ten years to obtain my School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in the year 2013. After my
schooling was over I joined Goldengate Int'l College located at Battisputali,Kathmandu
for science faculty but I got in an accident during major earthquake on 25 April 2015 and
had to discontinue my education. It took me around a year to fully recover from my
injuries and get back my confidence. Even though I was interested in pursuing
management stream for my high school level, everyone convinced me to go for science
stream as here it is like trend to study science after securing good percentage in School
level. But now, I want to continue my paused higher education in my desired faculty
which is management. So, after I fully recovered I had very less idea about continuing my
education so I did research and counselling. After few months of research and
suggestion from my elder I found out that Maltese Educational Institutions were
accepting students with secondary education. After being assured I applied for offer,
prepared financial documents and now finally got Course Acceptance Letter.

It was very crucial decision for me to decide how to continue my study so I have made
several of research in education provider and their offered course in different countires.
Lastly, I found Malta would be the best choice. No doubt, Malta has made progressive
result on education field since it has been proclaimed as one of the most famous
destination for international student in Europe for students chosing management
stream. European qualification is globally accepted and moreover based on practical as
well as theoretical knowledge ultimately leading toward industrial need which provides
aid to find job easily and compete in global market. Besides Maltese
Institutions/Colleges provides wide range of courses with affordable cost and they have
extremely education friendly policy which are proven to be a boon. Malta is considered
safe country among Europe with the presence of number of government entities and
voluntary organisations that help to enforce the law and foster public saftey in the
Maltese islands. Along with that, its vivid and diverse culture, the infrastructural and
managerial aspects and most importantly, the academic reputation of this country is
what really aspires me to study in Malta. Diplomas are awarded by Award for Training
and Higher Education (ATHE) and is recognised by National Comission for Further and
Higher Education (NCFHE) at Malta Qualification Framework (MQF) which will definitely
be a huge achievement to students. Such good provisions are rarely available here in my
country.

One of the main reasons for me not choosing Nepal for continuing my study is due to
the traditional method of teaching learning process. The current education system is the
youngest in the world. Until recent years, Nepal followed three-tiered model education
system proposed on traditional Indian system which is traditional approach. Similarly,
there is shortage of funds for learning like extra classes, lack of modern equipped
classes, libraries, scientific equipment, laboratories, field work and research. Nepal is a
developing country and the education system over here still has long way to go throug in
order to meet competitive as well as systematic and practical based education policy.
Owing to that, present education system of Nepal can never meet the challenges on
global market. Personally, I hold the view that it is extremely important foy young
student to know more about what is going around the world. It not only fosters the
broad undertanding of various perspective aspects and lifetyles of people around the
world but also helps in gaining ideas of advanced and applied courses that are sadly, not
available in my country Nepal. It is one of the nasty facts about Nepal.

I have gone through research for Colleges and Institutions of Nepal like Nepal College of
Management, Global College of Management, Kathmandu College of Management,
NCMT College and so forth. I was satisfied by fee structure and trainers despite of that
comparing and contrasting the education system with global market I was very
disappointed. The fact that lies in my eye is though, Tribhvan University proclaimed to be
one of the best universities in Nepal but TU degree comes under top 4000 under world
ranking. So, this is really disheartening fact that every single youngsters of Nepal, who
wants to purchase quality education, cannot deny. The education system in my home
country is incomparably low to highly aspired education in Malta. Therefore, it seems
hard for me to acquire the level of capacity to compete with global market studying in
Nepal. Besides that, only theoretical based education is more likely to be seen and
practiced in Nepal which is not the ultimate foundation for students like us to be good in
preferred field. Similarly, courses being provided in Nepalese Educational Institutions or
Colleges are utterly out of update which plainly is the root cause for lack in providing
good knowledge and skills to students. These are the reasson why I have made up my
mind to study abroad so that I can stand on my feet with confidence and with more
knowledge and skill with practical experiences which I believe are the keys for success,
happy and prosperous life in upcoming days.

In order to decide where should I complete my further study was really toughest
decision to make so I made many research, consult with many agents, looked after
different websites, discussed with many of my colleagues. I looked after different
countries like USA and Australia but sadly colleges and institutions there don't offer any
academic program for the students with secondary level of education that made me do
brief research about Malta. I have chosen Malta for continuing my study because of its
welcoming nature. There lifestyle and quality of living is also among the best in Europe.
Even being a small country well developed management, hospitality and educational
sector will totally help student like us to study managerial courses throughly. Apart from
being a great place to have a quality education, it also provides welcoming and homely
environment having multicultural society which will definitely lessen my home sickness
make my academic stay very pleasant.

I chose to study Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management at Eie Institute of

Education in San Gwann as the Institute highly focuses on their education system
and teaching staffs, providing students with various workshops and other activities
to develop individual's practical skills rather than focusing on only theoretical
knowledge. The college also prioritizes on presentations supporting students to
build-up self-confidence and achieve better result. However, what really inspired
me to choose this college is beacause EIE focuses on providing quality education
and friendly environment and another important factor is also the fee structure.
There are many colleges and institutes providing Management courses, but EIE
provides same course with much affordable fee. I came to know about this
Institute from my education councilor who is also helping me in my process to
Malta. Upon suggestion, I throughly went into the college's website which helped
me gain more broad information about institute, selected course and fee structure.

The world is now at the center of a managerial and technological revolution that has
drastically changed our lives and probably bring out the true human potential. With the
development in management , hospitality and business setor, the world has become
better and smaller place to live and even more convinient to be connected to the whole
world together.
Although the innovations are rapidly developing and advancing, the depth of
research that is possible in this field is limitless and scope for logic and creativeness
are beyond our imagination. The subject I've chosen is Management. SInce I always
have had interest and am still fascinated by management and business
administration. During my school days, I was first introduced to Accounting and
Management. From then, I became very much interested in this sector and the way
it was used for utilizing resources for the attainment of an organisation's goals and
objectives. Other reason to choose this subject is my love and passion towards
business and management. I like learning new thing related to mangerial world
such as new ways to manage business or new ways to manage people for acquiring
the goal of an organisation. Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management delivers the
education of my choice and also fulfills the needs of my future goals. The
oppurtunities I see in this field of management were able to grab my interest more
than any other career. Under this course I need to study modules i.e. Developing
Personal Skills, Effective Communication, The Business Environment, The
Marketing Mix, Strategic HRM, Managing Ethically, Culture and the Organisation,
Customers and Customer Service, Fundamentals of Accounting and Financial
Management and Control. It is one year course in duration and fees is 6,500 euro
for total course. After obtaining my Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management, I
plan to pursue Level 6 Extended Diploma in Business and Administrative
Management from the program in flying colors.

Willingness only is not enough to study in Malta. Our finance must be strong so
that we can bear any kind of problem related to monetary issue if arise. I feel lucky
to have such helpful and understanding parents. For the continuity of my
education in Malta , my parents will be supporting me financially. My mother have
sufficient income from house rent and her work as a Real Estate agent. Along with
the income sources , my mother has saving balance of NPR in NCC Bank
Limited and NPR in Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited and we also have sufficient
properties. My sponsors had always helped me and will always help me for my
entire life, in case of education. My sponsor also have saving in other financial
institutions of Nepal. All of my financial documents have been verified by the
concerned authorities. I am sure my sponsor will support me to complete my
education from Malta.

After completing my studies I am sure that I would be uniquely prepared to face

the challenges of the international world of management. My short term goal in
Malta would be gaining as much knowledge as I can related to management sector
along with its academic qualification. In long term I also have planned to return to
my origin country, where the ecnomocially developing country will certainly be in
need of Managerial manpower. I am also aiming on securing a very successful
career in the field of management in Nepal as I will be able to pursue my career in
business field working as general manager, administrative manager, project
manager or management consultant in a corporate business companies or
multinational companies like Dabur Nepal, Chaudhary Group, Unilever, etc.
Another reason for me to return to my Native country would also be my parents as
I am theirs only child. I would like to proceed on completing my program
successfully securing good grades and then be back here in Nepal to support my
parents anyway possible in their old age. Your acceptance to my purpose would
definetely allow me to achieve all this goals.

I have submitted all relevant documents for your kind consideration. I assure to
follow all rules and regulations and put my extra effort on studies. I believe I have
made right choice to study in Malta. So I hope to be considered and approved for
my visa application.
