We are in a great position for State Assembly on April 14th, which is the final step in the process to set the primary
ballot.
In addition to these great results, two polls this week show that Cary is strongly positioned to win the democratic primary
Aaron
and is Bly
the strongest candidate by far to win the general election in November. First, was a public poll released by
Magellan Strategies today:
Campaign Manager // Cary Kennedy for Governor
Magellan’s Conclusion: "At this early stage of the campaign Cary Kennedy has succeeded in making herself the
alternative to Jared Polis and potentially the front runner in the nomination for Democrat Governor."
Cary and Jared are statistically tied in the recent Magellan poll of democratic primary voters - 23% to 27% with a margin
of error of 4.84%. All other candidates are in the single digits with Mike Johnston at 8% and Donna Lynne at 5%. We
continue to see that when voters get to know Cary they like her. Cary's ratio of favorability to unfavorability is 14 to
1. Jared is 8-to-1, Mike is 3-to-1 and Donna is 4-to-1. This further shows Cary’s likability and how the more people get
to know her, the more they like her.
The second poll showing good news is from our pollster Keating Research that shows
that Cary wins a general election matchup against Walker Stapleton by a
commanding 15% - 55% to 40%. I have attached a memo on this poll from
Keating to this update.
Cary Kennedy for Governor campaign is going through the caucus. Please note that
this is not the binding letter due on April 4th.
Thanks,
Aaron Bly

In order to mimic a gubernatorial race between Jared Polis and Walker Stapleton, voters heard a positive
statement about Jared Polis and the identical Walker Stapleton statement:
Democrat Jared Polis is the Congressman from Boulder. He will work towards one hundred percent renewable
energy in Colorado and providing free, full-day kindergarten to every child.
Republican Walker Stapleton is the current Colorado State Treasurer and a common sense Colorado
conservative. He believes that government should be limited and accountable.
After hearing these candidate statements, Jared Polis leads Walker Stapleton by 7 points, 50% for
Jared Polis to 43% for Walker Stapleton, 2% other candidate and 6% undecided.
This polling data is based on 1,000 live-interviewer telephone surveys conducted March 13-19, 2018 among
“active” voters defined as registered voters who voted in November 2014 or November 2016. For the split samples
of 500 interviews the worst case margin of error at the 95% level is plus or minus 4.4%.
