SECTION I: Ice breaker (2 points)


Instructions:
 Ask the students two of the questions below (or similar) to break the ice before the
other two components of the test are conducted.
 Each question has 1 minute time answer limit.
 Once the student has answered ask a follow up question to keep the conversation
going. (keep time in mind)

16) What’s your favorite movie?
17) Is it better to shop clothes on-line or in a store?
18) How important is your smart phone to you?
19) How often do you send WhatsApp messages?

SECTION II: Picture Description. (4 points)

Instructions:
 Hand each students a different picture and wait for his/her description. Each student has 1
minute to fulfill the task.
 Teachers should not interfere with the student’s response, do not ask any questions.

SECTION III: Peer Interaction (16 points).

Instructions:
 Each pair of students receives one of the following situations and elaborate a 3 minute
conversation about the topic.
 Students should include vocabulary from the units.

-Talk to your partner about how you usually keep in touch with friends, colleagues and
family. Include comparisons.
-Ask and tell your partner about this topic and what you see in the pictures.

-Tell your partner which of these jobs is more interesting and which is the least interesting..
Ask your partner about his/her opinion

-Talk to your partner about any accident you had in the past.
-What happened to you?
-Who were you with?
When was it?
-What were you doing when it happened?
-Ask and answer 3 questions minimum.
