Student Nurse - Clinical Experience February 2016 - Current
Medical/Surgical 180 Hours – St. Joseph Hospital

 Shadowed experienced RN’s managing the care of 5-7 patients in a medical/surgical unit.
Learned and planned care according to hospital policy. Administered medications under
supervision of my instructor. Learned how to properly educate patients and engage with families
in an appropriate manner to increase the outcomes of the patients.

Pediatrics 90 Hours– Akron Children’s Hospital – Mahoning Valley, Spring 2017

 Performed various assessments, administered medications & monitored infants within the 3rd floor.
Also had experienced days in the Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery and the NICU.

Community 90 – Hospice of the Valley, Fall 2016

 Participated in-home visits and performed assessments with RN instructor. Learned how to
implement effective strategies for families coping with the loss of a loved one. Focused heavily on
patient centered care as well as family centered care.

Nursing Skills Laboratory Attendant February 2016 – December 2017


 Demonstrates critical nursing skills and assists faculty with running medium and high fidelity
equipment for simulation experiences. Serves as a peer mentor for students learning new skills in
the practice area. Assists learning resource coordinator and faculty during all live demonstrations.

ASCEND Student Intern at Akron Children’s Hospital May 2017 – August 2017
 10- week summer internship that allows me to witness the team dynamics within the emergency
department of Mahoning Valley. I am able to experience different situations that I’ve never seen
before in the clinical setting. The internship helps me understanding protocols and the structure
behind the actions of the RN’s within the facility.
YMCA Front Desk Attendant

 Responds to members and guest needs within the community. As a Desk attendant I’ve provide
assistance when setting up wellness programs and helped facilitate excellent customer service.
This position has helped me understand the needs within this community along with programs that
can help generate wellness within the community such as Livestrong and Buddy Day Camp.

Nurse Tech at Akron Children’s Hospital MV ED September 2017 – Current

 Fast paced work environment that allows me to collaborate with team members within the
emergency department of Mahoning Valley. Enables me to work on my clinical nursing skills. The
tech position allows me to better understand my strengths and weaknesses in order for
preparation to transition to a registered nurse.
