The Answer :

1. Recount is a text which retells events or experiences in the

past. Its purpose is either to inform or to entertain the
audience. There is no complication among the participants
and that differentiates from narrative.
2. Language Feature of Recount :
• Introducing personal participant; I, my group, etc
• Using chronological connection; then, first, etc
• Using linking verb; was, were, saw, heard, etc
• Using action verb; look, go, change, etc
• Using simple past tense
3. Generic Structure of Recount
 Orientation: Introducing the participants, place and time
 Events: Describing series of event that happened in the past
 Reorientation: It is optional. Stating personal comment of
the writer to the story.
4. Recount text, proverbs, modal auxiliaries, song analyzing.

society.
Berhentilah merasa rendah diri. Jangan berpikir bahwa kau lebih
buruk dari yang lain. Karena itu hanya akan menenggelamkan
potensimu. Setiap orang punya potensi yang unik, termasuk
kamu. Temukan dan kembangkan itu. Gunakan untuk membantu

Task 5 Procedure Text
Definition
Procedure text is a text that explains or helps us how to make or
use something. Its social function is to describe how something is
completely done through a sequence of series. Communicative
purpose of this text is to describe how something is made through a
sequence of actions or steps. There are three generic structures in
procedure text. The first is goals or purposes. The second is
materials or tools. The third and the last are steps or methods. To
know the text that we read is procedure or not is so simple. You can
read the title if the title is started with ‘how to make…’ or ‘how to
use…’ it can be certainly that the text is procedure text.

Generic Structure of Procedure

Goal: showing the purpose
Material: Telling the needed materials
Step 1-end: Describing the steps to achieve the purpose

Language Feature of Procedure

Using temporal conjunction
Using action verb
Using imperative sentence
Using Simple Present Tense
 Material :

- Pudding Susu 1 Pack

- 700 ml water
- Chocolate
- Cheese to taste
- Egg Whites 3 Eggs

Tools:
Pan, Plate, Stove, Spoon, Mold,
Refrigerator.
Steps:

1. Mix well pudding susu

with 700 ml of water.
2. Cook and stir well until
boil.
3. Pour into the mould and
chill it in refrigerator.
4. Ready to serve.
