Brain stroming is a group or individual
creativity technique by which efforts are made
to find a conclusion for a specific problem by
gathering a list ideas spontaneously contributed
by its members
to attack the problem with the ideas as much
as possible.
Types of brainstorming :
1. Individual brainstorming
2. Group Brainstorming
Individual brainstorming:
They can drive their own idea
generation:
In individual brainstorming, people enjoy
the flexibility of working at their own pace.
They can set their own time and place and
work accordingly. People tend to be more
creative at certain times and places. Some
are at their creative best in the morning,
some in the evening, some while drinking
coffee, some while traveling, and so on.
This is absent in group brainstorming
where people are supposed to follow set
timelines and places.
They can avoid blocking ideas:
If a group brainstorming session is poorly
organized, it can quickly sidetrack the discussion. The
participants, especially the reserved and the quiet, can get
blocked. They cannot be at their creative best and express
ideas in clamorous situations. Individuals do not suffer
this constraint when they brainstorm on their own.
Group Brainstorming
…… can develop ideas in more depth than individual brainstorming.

Problem :
something that needs discussion.

Mind mapping
A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. A
mind map is hierarchical and shows relationships among pieces of
the whole. It is often created around a single concept, drawn as an
image in the center of a blank page, to which associated
representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words
are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept,
and other ideas branch out from those.
Brainstorming is a technique for recalling what you know about a
topic. Mind mapping can then be used to work out the relationship
between those points and ideas. When you set down your ideas
visually in this way, you can make connections and develop greater
understanding of information. It is a good way to begin planning for
an assignment, essay, research topic or oral presentation.
