Worship Orchestra
Leads in worship at 9:00 am Metropolitan Memorial service on
the first Sunday of the month, October through December and
February through June. Rehearses at 8:00am prior to the first
Sunday service, Sanctuary. All instruments and ability levels

Youth Worship Ensemble
Youth in 6th -12th grade are invited to participate in the Youth
Worship Ensemble. We sing, ring handbells, play instruments,
and engage in the creative worship arts at Metropolitan
Memorial. Director, Melissa Chávez; Accompanist, Jeanie Mah.
Children's Choirs at Metropolitan Memorial
Cherub Choir (ages 4 – 1st grade) and the Morningstar Choir (2nd
- 5th grade) perform throughout the school year. Both choirs
rehearse after the children's message during the 9am service.

Rockin' Gospel Choir
Leads Worship at the 11am service at the Wesley Campus.
Rehearses before and after worship with additional Saturday
rehearsals.

Students in PreK-12th grade grow their musical gifts and sing
with joy in the Children & Youth choir. Rehearsal follows the
11:00 service at the Wesley Campus.

Concerts at National UMC
National UMC is pleased to host many excellent concerts
throughout the year. Jazz at Wesley, an entertaining evening of
jazz, features some of Washington, DC's most notable jazz
musicians, vocalists, and ensembles, and the Arts Council Concert
Series brings exceptional classical concerts to the Metropolitan
Memorial campus on Sunday afternoons. Information about all

Music Across Our Campuses
Men's Ensemble
This group comprises men from all of National UMC's choral
ensembles and performs in venues throughout the DC region.
Past performances have included Nationals Baseball, St. Regis,
and a tour to North Carolina. Rehearsals based on availability of
singers. Sings 5-8 times a year.

Festival Choir
Adult and high school age singers who are unable to commit to a
weekly choir rehearsal are always welcome to sing in our festival
choir performances. Opportunities are announced by email and
in church announcements.

Dayspring Voice Class
Voice class for adults who wish to learn more about singing.
Ensemble membership is not required and all abilities are
welcome. No fee. Meets 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays from 6:30
– 7:15 in the Music Room, Metropolitan Memorial Campus.
