We invite you to submit a workshop proposal for the annual SSTEC Regional Tapestry Early Childhood
Conference which will be held:
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
We are seeking workshop presenters from a variety of early childhood professions including family child
care, center-based infant, toddler, preschool, and school age care, elementary schools; military child
care; colleges; resource and referrals; Head Start and ECEAP; and mental and physical health. We ask
you to share your expertise in any early childhood topic of great interest to you.
We will select workshops based on format, content, balance of topic areas, and interests indicated by
last year’s evaluations. Child care providers will receive STARS Continuing Education hours for this
conference. The presenter application guides you through the standards required for STARS. We
encourage interactive, hands-on, culturally-relevant workshops.
Presenters receive free admission to the conference and an honorarium of $75 for each 2-hour
workshop. A continental breakfast will be provided, and you may purchase a lunch for $10.00! Please
return a conference registration form if you plan to attend other sessions (this will be mailed to you
after printing in late July), so we can keep an accurate count for each presenter’s limits and room space.
