Dear Soeharto,
Thank you for this further information about the conference. The following are guidelines provided by
our head office and let me know if anything is not clear.

Besides publishing reference works and textbooks, the production and publication of proceedings is one
of the core activities of Taylor & Francis through our CRC Press /Balkema office in Leiden, The
Netherlands. We publish conference proceedings in various formats:

A. a printed book containing full papers

B. a printed book containing extended abstracts + a full papers on CD-ROM/USB-device,
C. an online-only proceedings that is hosted online in our online repository CRCnetBASE, and accessible
via tokens issued to recipients of the proceedings.
D. Open Access publication: hosted on the organizer’s website, on our website, and other repositories if
required.

In order to provide you with a publishing proposal and quotation we would like to have an indication of
the following:
1. The type of product you prefer (a choice of A/B/C/D listed above)
2. Roughly how many pages the proceedings might be (number of papers and the number of pages per
paper), and
3. if applicable (choice A/B/C) an estimate of how many copies/tokens you might need as bulk order for
the participants of the conference

Please note: the minimum bulk order is 100 copies per proceedings, and the minimum value of each
proceeding is Euro 5000.

If this is of interest, I would be happy to introduce you to the team in Leiden who are responsible for the
publishing of our conferences.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Barry

Managing Director | Taylor & Francis Asia Pacific
Dear Soeharto,

Thank you for contacting us and your request for information on the possible publication of the
proceedings of your conference(s).

As you have been informed by my colleague Barry Clarke, you have a choice of options from the list of
possibilities we have and you choose to receive price information on Open Access. This is the best
option if you are looking for a wide and far-reaching distribution of the content. This is not the cheapest
option.

For a publication of 300 pages, Open Access we charge a fee of UK £ 7500.

The publication will be available “Open Access”, i.e. freely downloadable, on our website, for an
example please visit:
https://www.taylorfrancis.com/books/e/9781351846493

Moreover, you are free to post the publication anywhere you like for free download by readers and
customers.

If you are interested in this option, please let me know and we will discuss further options and details,
including a contract. For your information, I have attached some general information and a checklist to
complete. Please note the remark about the index process. It is really important to know that we don’t
guarantee indexing, as this is not something we can influence as a publisher.

I look forward to hearing from you with interest.

Kind regards
