MUSCLE TESTING LAB 6

For this lab please know:

(1) Iliopsoas major, iliopsoas minor and iliacus; (2) Gluteus maximus; (3) Gluteus medius and gluteus
minimus.

You need to know the following for each of these muscles:

• Origin & Insertion

• Nerve Supply

• Action

The 3 Gluteal muscles are on pages 58, 59, 60 & 61 and the hip flexors on page 61 & 62 of The
Anatomy Coloring Book for those of you that are using it.

We will then cover the muscle tests for these in the lab.
