Materials:
Desktop computer, laptop or iPad
Resources:
Silly States Google Sites (given the link in class)
Google Sites has further resources like videos and websites for students to
utilize
Procedure:
1. I will introduce the assignment to them using the Google Sites I have
created
2. Will share the link with them, so they can access it whenever they too.
3. Teach them how to cite sources and what sources are credible ones
4. Will have them complete the review quiz over the assignment
5. Groups will then begin working together for the remainder of class on
the first day. They will use Google Slides or PowerPoint to complete
this assignment
6. The groups will have until the end of the week to finish their
presentation. Class time will be provided on some days
7. The following week, students will present on their assigned days. Will
email or give me the link of their presentation. Other students will take
notes about the presentations
Will have the students take a short review quiz over what their assignment is
and what should be included using Google Forms.
At the end of all presentations, students will play Kahoot that has questions
about the other students’ presentations.
(These two assessments will show whether the students were paying attention
or not)
A short test will be given over the formatting of MLA and APA citing and how to
determine a credible resource.
