8 Verification of Service a) The OLT is powered ON with all configurations. Check for the correct

b) Shutdown the OLT by disconnecting both the power supply.
c) Power ON the OLT after few minutes.
d) Check the system is restored within 15 minutes.

b. Remove the Fiber from the Active Control Card.
c. Check for the correct functioning of the lamps and working of the OLT
by browsing from a nearby ONT.
d. Restore the Fiber to Active Control Card.
e. Repeat the same with the Passive control Card to ensure the port
redundancy.
f. Again remove the control card itself from the slot.
g. Check for the correct functioning of the lamps and working of the OLT
by browsing from a nearby ONT.
h. Insert the active control card.
i. Wait till the system becomes normal.
j. Repeat the same with the other control card to ensure the control
card redundancy.
k. Check the switchover status in LCT / EMS and working running
services
(if the uplink port redundancy is provided in separate card conduct
the test separately for Control card redundancy and uplink port
redundancy )

Check the supply of ONT as per BOM. Physical Check for the

Check that the ONT gets powered on after the DC is extended. Check
for correct working of all lamps.
a. Ensure that the ONT is in working condition.
b. Check for Green indication.
c. Remove the fiber between ONT & the splitter.
d. Check the Red indication.
e. Restore the fiber.
i. Check for Green indication.
a. Power ON the ONT. & ensure ONT is working.
b. Establish a Wi-Fi connection between the ONT and Android
Mobile or Laptop PC.
c. Browse for internet access, down loading of files etc., Make O/G
& I/C video calls using social media apps like WhatsApp/Skype.
a. The ONT is powered on with all configurations. Check for the
correct functioning of the lamps and working of the ONT by
browsing of internet.
b. Shutdown the ONT by disconnecting the power supply.
c. Power ON the ONT after few minutes.
Check the system is restored within 15 minutes.
a. Verify that the earthing has been provided.
b. Check the Earth connectivity from the earth point to SPV & CCU by
using a multi meter.

ii. Voltage at the I/P of the CCU from the SPV panels= 16V to 22Volts.

PART E- Testing of EMS
PROCEDURE
Check the supply of EMS as per BOM for both DC & DR sites.
(Along with accessories like LCT etc.)
Verify the S/W version of the LCT & EMS as per the TSEC certificate.
Check the following redundancy;
i. Power
ii. Control card/Server (Ensure only single point of failure does not
affect the functioning of the system)
i. Take the backup of the EMS data.
ii. Modify the EMS by adding or deleting some ONT /Alarm etc.,
iii. Restore EMS with the backed up data.
iv. Verify that the modified data is not available.
Sample Check:
Perform Addition/deletion & Editing of OLT.
Perform Addition /deletion & Editing of ONT.
Activation and de-activation of any service of ONT.
Sample Check:
Verify the alarms of the OLT & ONT – GREEN for Healthy, Red for
Fault and yellow for de-graded mode.
