ABSTRACT

I had done my training in BHEL in Telecommunication area. In this field I learnt about
telephony and its types, electronics Exchange and cards used in exchange, types of tone used
in telephony, how a call is made, types of connection used i.e. through cabling or through
wireless connection, facility provided by exchange in telephone.

BHEL is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy related
infrastructure sector today and one of the MAHARATNA Company. The wide network of
BHEL's 14 manufacturing division, four power Sector regional centers, over 150 project
sites, eight service centers and 18 regional offices, enables the Company to promptly serve
its customers and provide them with suitable products, systems and services – efficiently and
at competitive prices. Product of BHEL are boiler , Gas generator, hydro generator , Steam
turbines, gas turbines , Hydro turbines, AC motors ,Transformers, Wind mill, Valves,
Electrostatics precipators etc. The financial turnover during the year 2007-08 was 21,401
crore rupees and current in 2016-17 turnover is 1,70,000 crore rupees.

I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to BHEL authorities for allowing me to undergo
the training in this prestigious organization. I will always remain indebted to them for their
constant interest and excellent guidance in my training work, moreover for providing me
with an opportunity to work and gain experience.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We take this opportunity to thank the Industrial Training coordinator of Mechanical Engineering
Department for allowing us to work on such an interesting & informative topic. We are highly
indebted to our project guide Asst. Professor MR. VIPIN DIXIT for his guidance & his words
of wisdom. He always showed us the right direction during the course of this project work. We
are duly thankful to him to referring us to sites like science direct, openpdf & providing many
research papers which had some research work.

Success in such comprehensive report can’t be achieved single handed. It is the team effort that
sail the ship to the coast. So I would like to express my sincere thanks to my mentor Mr. RAM
PRAVESH TIWARI.

I am also grateful to the management of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (B.H.E.L.),


NOIDA for permitting me to have training during 8th June, 2017 to 19th July, 2017.

We worked as a team and saw ups and downs which are part of any project work. But in the end
it was their Guidance and my team work which made this project possible. Last but not the least
we would also like to thank all our teachers & friends for their constructive criticism given in
right spirit.
